- They announced that inter-promotional matches will be taking place tonight with the winner earning a draft pick for his/her brand.
- WWE Champion Triple H (Raw) defeated Mark Henry (Smackdown) with a Pedigree. Raw earns the first draft pick.
- Draft Pick #1 (Raw): Rey Mysterio. Mysterio came out for the live crowd, shook hands with Triple H and teased he wanted the WWE Championship.
- Crystal Vega is our first winner of $100,000. She gave the right password, but Vince said it was wrong. Whoops. Kelly Kelly joined Vince on stage and did a dance for the crowd.
- There was a Triple H and John Cena confrontation backstage. Triple H still hasn't gotten over WrestleMania 22 when he tapped out to Cena. Triple H said Cena was lucky. Cena said he still won and quoted Ric Flair's famous "to be the man, you have to beat the man." Triple H quoted Cena from last week saying until he beat him he was nothing.
- Finlay & Hornswoggle (Smackdown) defeated Santino Marella & Carlito (Raw) after a Celtic Crush and Tadpole Splash on Santino. Smackdown earns the second draft pick.
- Draft Pick #2 (Smackdown): Jeff Hardy. Hardy came out on the stage and posed for the fans. Hornswoggle even did a Hardy pose that put a smile on Jeff's face. They showed Randy Orton backstage with his left arm in a sling with a grin on his face watching Hardy backstage on a TV.
- The second money giveaway is up now. Our special guest with Vince is Randy Orton. Orton cut a promo saying he had to be here tonight since he was eligible for the Draft. He said he will be back and will reclaim the WWE Championship, saying he doesn't care if it is Triple H or John Cena who are champion when he returns. He tells Vince he doesn't feel like giving any money away and leaves. Samira is our second $100,000 winner (who sounded like she was being coached on what her name was on the phone).
- John Cena vs. World Heavyweight Champion Edge and a 15-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal with the winner getting two draft picks is announced for later tonight.
- WWE World Tag Team Champions Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes (Raw) defeated Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely (ECW). Raw earns the third draft pick. Ted DiBiase Jr. was at ringside and talked about having the advantage psychologically over Holly and Rhodes going into Night of Champions.
- Draft Pick #3 (Raw): CM Punk. Punk came out on stage and showed off his "Money in the Bank" briefcase.
- Chris Jericho cut a promo in the ring. He said he was right about Shawn Michaels and that all the fans who liked him were brainwashed. Jericho talked about Michaels lying to his best friends for years and years. They showed a video package of HBK turning on Marty Jannetty in 1992, Kevin Nash in 1994, Hulk Hogan in 2005, John Cena in 2007 and Batista in 2008. Jericho called HBK a liar with a huge ego, yet the fans continue to cheer him and they don't care. He encourages a loud "HBK" chant. Jericho said the fans were no longer allowed to cheer for him since he isn't like any of them. He calls himself an honest man and said the other person in this company who was just as honest was Lance Cade. Jericho brought up how Cade was a student at HBK's wrestling academy. Cade appeared on the screen and said although Michaels helped him get to the WWE, once he got big he knew Shawn would turn on him. He called Jericho a real man and someone he could trust. Cade said Michaels won't get the chance to turn his back on him. He said the people may not appreciate Jericho, but he does. Jericho said he still doesn't have an opponent for Night of Champions. He said he would love to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Shawn Michaels, but he can't since he put his face through a TV two weeks ago. They show footage of this taking place on Raw two weeks ago. Jericho said the worst was yet to come for Michaels. HBK's music hits and he appears at the top of the stage. HBK ran down and speared Jericho in the ring. HBK got in a few right hands and tackled Jericho through the ropes to the outside. Jericho gave HBK a drop toe hold into the Smackdown announce table. HBK grabbed his "bad eye" and started screaming out in pain. Jericho smiled at what happened and walked off as members of the medical team attended to HBK.
- WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz (ECW) defeated The Hardys (Smackdown) with Morrison rolling up Matt. ECW earns the fourth draft pick.
- Draft Pick #4 (ECW): WWE United States Champion Matt Hardy. Matt gave Jeff a hug and the announcers noted how this was a one-night only reunion of The Hardys. Tazz talked about how with Matt Hardy comes the United States Title to ECW.
- Ric Flair joined Vince for the next Million Dollar Mania giveaway. Big reaction for Flair. Vince joked that was almost as big as the reaction he got tonight. JR is gold when the "dialing" music starts up. Donna is our third winner tonight for $100,000. Flair lets out a WOOOOOOOOOO for the winner.
- WWE Women's Champion Mickie James & Melina (Raw) vs. Victoria & Natalya (Smackdown). This is an announcers only draft match where commentators, ring announcers and interviewers are eligible.
- Mickie James & Melina vs. Victoria & Natalya ended in a Double DQ after Melina injured her ankle and all the Divas began brawling at ringside. This gave both Raw and Smackdown one pick each.
- Draft Pick #5 (Smackdown): Jim Ross. JR stood up and couldn't believe it. Ross left his seat and headed over to the Smackdown announce table with Mick Foley.
- Draft Pick #6 (Raw): Michael Cole. Cole was shocked as well as he sat down next to Jerry Lawler. Cole brought up how he has called every Smackdown show except for two episodes for the last few years.
- Justin is our next $100,000 winner tonight. He had picked up before and thought it was a wrong number. The Great Khali joined Vince on stage and yelled at the caller a few times.
- John Cena (Raw) defeated World Heavwyeight Champion Edge (Smackdown) via countout. Raw earns the seventh draft pick. As Edge walked up the ramp, Batista appeared from behind and started taking him out with right hands. They brawled into the ring and Batista kicked Edge out.
- Draft Pick #7 (Raw): Batista. Edge smiled at Batista and waved goodbye to him. Batista mocked Edge and the announcers brought up that Batista still has a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title this Sunday at Night of Champions.
- Backstage, Vince McMahon reminded Edge he would still be defending the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Batista at Night of Champions. Vince added that Edge could still be drafted to another brand tonight. Vickie Guerrero didn't like the sound of that.
- MVP (Smackdown) defeated Tommy Dreamer (ECW) w/ Colin Delaney after a big boot in the corner. Smackdown earns the eigth draft pick.
- Draft Pick #8 (Smackdown): Umaga. Adamle called Umaga the Human Bulldoger and they quickly corrected him. Umaga came out and got into the ring. Umaga destroyed Dreamer with a samoan drop and took out Delaney with a body splash. Umaga took out Dreamer with a splash in the corner to the head and then gave Delaney a huge sidewalk slam.
- JBL (Raw) defeated Kofi Kingston (ECW) with a Clothesline From Hell. Raw earns the ninth draft pick.
- Draft Pick #9 (Raw): ECW Champion Kane. Kane appeared at the top of the stage with the ECW Title around his waist, smiled at JBL and did his usual pose to have the pyro go off on all four corners.
- Vanessa is our next winner of $100,000 tonight. She was in the crowd in San Antonio. The last giveaway tonight will be for $500,000.
- Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole rundown the card for Night of Champions this Sunday on PPV.
- The 15-Man Tri-Branded Royal is up now. John Cena, ECW Champion Kane, Batista, CM Punk and WWE Champion Triple H represented Raw. Chavo Guerrero, Shelton Benjamin, WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison, WWE Tag Team Champion The Miz and WWE United States Champion Matt Hardy represented ECW. The Big Show, The Great Khali, MVP, Jeff Hardy and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge represented Smackdown. Two draft picks will come from this match.
- Team Smackdown won the 15-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal when WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge eliminated John Cena (Raw). Smackdown earns the tenth and eleventh draft picks.
- Draft Pick #10 (Smackdown): Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy walked out on the stage and celebrated staring down Edge.
- Draft Pick #11 (Smackdown): WWE Champion Triple H. Triple H looks up at the screen and can't believe it. They show a shot of Edge who is surprised as well.
- Vince McMahon gives away the final prize of $500,000 to close the show. All of a sudden a part of the set falls and hits the top of the stage. Then the part of the stage Vince is on collapses. Vince gets to his feet and then the big dollar bill area collapses and falls on Vince. Triple H, John Cena, Edge and others run to the area and try to move the staging. Sparks are flying as this is going on. Wow, they did it again folks. Medical staff put Vince on a stretcher and take him away. Vince yells out "Paul" at Triple H who is asking if Vince is okay. Shawn Michaels' voice can be overheard as they go off the air.
