What a night it was in Dallas, Texas. For the first time on U.S. soil, the G1 Climax took place. It was a wild crowd in the Lone Star State and the competitors within New Japan fed off that electricity and put out an equally wild night of action. In his home state, Lance Archer showed the thousands in attendance that this was his time to shine. KENTA came out of the gate swinging, sending a message that he’s back to his old self. Zack Sabre Jr. and SANADA mesmerized everyone with their technical wrestling abilities. Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi treated everyone to a main event reminiscent of their classic encounters years ago. Here are the current standings:

B Block will bring the other 10 men to this grueling tournament. Here is what is on tap.

Hirooki Goto vs. “Switchblade” Jay White
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Jeff Cobb
Toru Yano vs. Tetsuya Naito
Jon Moxley vs. Taichi
Juice Robinson vs. Shingo Takagi

The majority of these matchups are simple – win your match, get points, move on to the next person. Last Friday at the G1 Climax 29 Press Conference, Taichi had some strong words to send to Jon Moxley who was not present. Taichi took great offense that the current IWGP United States Champion did not appear. He even used the phrase “special treatment” to describe the situation. What will Moxley do when he enters the squared circle against a wrestler who feels disrespected in his own company?

Join us for Night 2 coverage of the G1 Climax 29 with a special 2-hour same-day broadcast, from the Ota General Gymnasium in Tokyo on a new night at a new time – SATURDAY NIGHT 9/8c!
