A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE LEGENDS OF THE RING FAMILY
plus a rebuttal to a story

Well were over a week out and I am still trying get my energy back from a fantastic weekend.
Out of our 5 shows we have produced we managed to have our largest gate ever as well as attendance. Once again we not only turned a profit but ran an organized show to boot. Everyone I saw or spoke to left happy. I did not see one negative report anywhere. That in itself is more important then turning a profit! (which we most certainly did)  the key is making people happy which equals a happy customer and repeat business.

It kind of upsets me when certain former fanfest promoters get on their soap box and proclaim that these shows are money losers and that no one knows how to run them etc. Speak for yourself  It doesn't only take an endless wad of money to put one of these events on. ANYONE with a endless bank account can book ANY talent they want and as much as they want. As Dibiase says"Everyone has their price."
What do you do when you have 40 plus talents,  500 fans and 3 hours to get these people through  line without any ORGANIZATION or PROPER staffing and room set up. It takes a special team to make this a reality and that what the problem is with these shows. They can be profitable.  EVERYONE thinks they can be a fanfest promoter. But the reality is it VERY FEW can pull it off. This ruins it for the few who run successful organized shows.
Only 3 companies in this WORLD have multiple shows under their belt.  I don't know how long these will last but we are already working on LOTR 6 in the spring.

I think I got my point across without heeling anyone out specifically as the point of this post is to thank all the fans and people I have made friends with this past few years making these events beyond successful.
It is a blessing to have James from 3count on board as a partner both of us utilize our individual talents to make for a successful show. I also thank Dan Michaels for his dedication to LOTR. Him and Dave have been an essential part in the behind the scenes planning of these shows. Dan has accomplished a lot in a short time. I also would like to thank the man who always seems to get a bad rap. MR. ESS Eric Simms who does a great job in bringing in talent despite the "stories" people tell.  I also would like to thank all the other staff that do a great job in pulling these off.  I would like to finally thank all the returning fans who keep coming back for more.. it really means a lot to us  as  you guys ARE the secret to our success.

We will see everyone again in the spring as we present LOTR 6. We will be announcing the date shortly.
