…..

Hello again my fellow CHATTERBOXERS, and I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Unfortunately, the list of our departed wrestling family has grown longer as we added dear Eddie Guerrero this month.  I’ve known Eddie since he was a teenager in El Paso hanging out backstage at his Dad’s events.  Much has been said about his death, the cold hard facts are that we have lost an outstanding ring performer, and a wonderful family has lost a fine husband, father, son, and brother.  May his soul and the souls of all our departed brothers and sisters rest peacefully in the palms of our risen Savior.

I’ve been a bit busy this month, working two weekends in a row in the Boston area with MWF - Millennium Wrestling Federation.  I had a chance to visit with many old friends there, such as Dewey “The Missing Link” Robertson, Andrew “Test” Martin, Sandman, and Ox Baker among others.  On November 6th, I was in Kingsport, TN with IRW - IRON RING WRESTLING.  Talking about a family reunion!  Terry Funk, Dustin Runnels, Bob and Brad Armstrong, Larry Zybysko, Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, Tracy Smothers, and I apologize for not remembering the others.  I have been enjoying myself tremendously on the independent scene, especially seeing so many folks that I have truly missed.

I will be in Newark, DE on Saturday, December 3rd, with Jim Kettner’s ECWA – EAST COAST WRESTLING ASSOCIATION.  I understand CHATTERBOX’s own Pete Theophall will be there, I am really looking forward to finally meeting Miss Georgie’s talented friend.

Notwithstanding my own GULF SOUTH WRESTLING Company’s start along our gulf coast, I’ve been helping The IPWA – INDEPENDENT PROFESSIONAL WRESTLERS ASSOCIATION in Mississippi, and The AWF – AMERICAN WRESTLING FEDERATION in the Florida panhandle.  There is a life outside WWE.

I will celebrate the second anniversary of my Gastric Bypass surgery on Friday, November 26th.  Just think, I weighed 525 pounds when the rolled me into the operating room that day.  I’ve lost 240 pounds, and very comfortable below 300 pounds for the first time in many years.  I don’t care if I lose another ounce!  I feel great!

I appreciate Georgie for asking me to be a regular contributor to The CHATTERBOX.  In between issues, you can find me at www.PercyPringle.com and www.GulfSouthWrestling.com

Take care and God Bless!   ~Percy
