A LONG OVERDUE RANT FROM GEORGIE

……

Today I have to vent, I've been holding this back for a long time.

I have received a ton of emails from WWE fans who feel they have been screwed royally by the WWE.

Many fans tried to buy ringside seats for Madison Square Garden, NYC and Unforgiven in Toronto, Canada.
The WWE gives out passwords to obtain pre-sale tickets before they go on sale to the general public.  That means NOTHING, because the front row ringside seats are not made available during pre-sale.  At least that's what my readers are telling me.

One of my readers said he was trying to obtain tickets both online and on the phone.  Here is what he wrote me:
"The internet not one 80 dollar seat was able to be pulled.  But get this, I get through on the phone lines right away.  I told the ticketmaster agent I want a single ticket on the floor in the 80 dollar range, he tells me I have Section 4 Row B.  I started to give him my Visa card number, then he tells me the floor is reserved for American Express card  holders only, which I think is totally unfair to the fans without that card.  I really hope the WWE gets their own outlet for tickets, as ticketmaster always screws the fans and gives the good seats to the online brokers."

I agree totally.  Here are just some links for online brokers for tickets, their prices are outrageous.

Besides all of the above, I was a season ticket holder for WWE Madison Square Garden tickets for an eternity.  From the old Garden on 50th Street to the present Garden.  I had my fights through the years, at the 50th Street Garden my section was K, second row, first 5 seats and third row first five seats.
When they moved to the present Garden, they wanted to give me other seats and I fought like the DEVIL to maintain the same seats, which was now Section 1.  I finally won the battle.  The reason being it was on the aisle the wrestlers walked down, and I loved cheering for my favorites.  And of course being a mark, loved shaking their hands or patting them on the back.  Being friends with many of the wrestlers, it was always fun having them say hello as they walked to the ring.

Well, the reason I am bitching now is because after having those seats since the 60's, I was told that when there was a PPV or TV taping, I could no longer have those seats.  My problem with this was WHY?  We never missed one show, ever.  Buying ten tickets at every WWE event at the Garden.  When I bitched to the Garden and to The McMahon's, I certainly got the MAJOR run around.
The McMahon's told me it was the Garden who stopped us, and the Garden said, it was the WWE.  And that made a lot of sense, because why would the Garden care who purchased the tickets.

We were all willing to pay whatever the cost of the tickets.  Why would the Garden care where the money was coming from, as long as the tickets were sold.

Want to have a good laugh, I was paying $5.00 for those ringside seats in the 60's.  Now they are $75.00 plus fees and my friends are still willing to pay for those 10 tickets even at that price.  But no, they are not available to us.
It's not just us, it's also long time fans - Charlie and Vladimir and others who were all long time reserved ticket holders.  And believe me when I say, everyone was pissed !!!!

Now that the Garden is charging so much for booking events, the WWE feels compelled to only run TV tapings and PPV's, to justify the rent they have to pay.  So where does that leave my friends, sh*t out of luck, so is Charlie,  Vladimir and others.  Do you think this is fair?
That this has happened to us, so that the online brokers can buy up all the good tickets to charge triple the price?  I don't !!

Another thing that has bugged me lately, as you know I try to run the best online Autograph Sessions Page for Wrestling.  Well lately I have received many complaints.
One of the complaints recently was that the WWE listed signings for OVW @ Six Flags.  Of course, I have copied many of their signing too, but get very upset when I find out those listings should have NEVER gone on the WWE website.
As soon as I found out those signings are for OVW Fan Club members only, I posted it in RED, to let the fans know not to go there.  So many fans were disappointed after driving for miles that they weren't allowed in.

The WWE sometimes doesn't list addresses or phone numbers.  So I take the time to look up the information, I feel everyone should call ahead before going to a signing.  And sometimes when I can't find the information one of my readers Jeff Sheridan helps a lot giving me the information.

Here is another complaint just listed on www.PWInsider.com today:
Alex Josephs sent this along. ... I live in Las Vegas, Nevada so today I went to a scheduled autograph signing for Kane at the Red Rock Casino from the hours of 7-11. It has been under WWE.com's list of appearances for weeks. When I arrived there were many fans waiting but security had quite a few stories ranging from it was a private party to that there is no man by the name Kane in their casino. After going to the front desk and showing security how it is on the official WWE website they said that it was a WWE goof and that no one can take pictures with Kane or get autographs, let alone see him. The sad part of this all was that many small children were there left crying when they found out that they wouldn't meet Kane. Whether this is WWE's fault or the casino there are many unhappy fans, including me. I wrote a complaint to WWE and if I get a response I will send it along.

Now that makes me angry too, I also had that one listed.

I just added this one recently:
July 12th - Meet BATISTA @ Mandalay Bay Hotel - 3950 Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV  from 5:30 to 9 p.m.  Call 702-632-7777.

I guess now I have to call the Mandalay to find out if this is a private meet and greet, which I have a feeling it might be.  And from now on I will TRY to check each signing listed on WWE site to make sure it is open to the public.

(Well, I just called and was told to call back tomorrow.  They don't even know. LOL  I must ask for the Convention Center tomorrow.  I'm pretty sure this will be a private signing, but will find out tomorrow for sure.  From what I have heard through a third party, this is a private Gold's Gym get together, I do not think public will be allowed.  I will find out more tomorrow)

Anyway sorry for boring you all with this update, but it was time to VENT !!!

If anyone else has any venting, please send an email to me @ [email protected]

BTW - One other thing that bothers me is when fans write me for free tickets, and win and then don't go and never let me know, to pick someone else.
I usually receive close to 50 requests each show, and why should fans who really want to go suffer because you won tickets and decided not to go.  It's not fair.

Other than that, have a nice day
I just want to say, I love my readers......
