We took in our first night of AAW Pro Wrestling in Berwyn, IL. The wrestling action was excellent, especially the title match between Michael Elgin and Sami Callahan. This was definitely one of the best matches I have seen all year anywhere! The crowd was large (probably about 400+) and totallty into the action, without being obnoxious or unruly.

1) Dan Lawrence opened the show with a pinfall win over Davey Vega with a handful of tights
2) Kyle O'Reilly put down Mr. Miller with a Brainbuster
3) Shane Hollister (accompanied by Marcus Crane and Scarlett) beat "The Last Hero" ACH
4) In 6-man action, Keith Walker, Tweek Phoenix and Lamar Titan (accompanied by Kevin Harvey & Nikki Mayday) beat the team of Zero Gravity (Brett Gakiya and CJ Esparza) and Isias Velasquez. A beatdown of the losers ensued after the match until Joey Eastman with The Northstache Express (Darin Corbin and Marion Fontaine) made the save
5) In a 4-way women's match, Athena outlasted Christina Von Eerie, Nicole Matthews and Kelly Skater
6) The Northstache Express (Darin Corbin & Marion Fontaine) with Joey Eastman defeated the team of Marcus Crane and Austin Mannix. After the match, Walker, Phoenix & Titan attempted to storm the ring and reignite the earlier evening hostilities. A street fight match was set for next month
7) Davey Richards rolled through a Silas Young rollup attempt into his own to pin Young (accompanied by Val Malone)
8) SHIMMER champion, Saraya Knight pinned MsChif when Truth Martini interfered and sprayed mist into MsChif's face. A mised gender match between Martini and MsChif was announced
9) AAW Tag-team champions, Jimmy Jacobs and Arik Cannon beat the House of Truth (Danny Daniels & Jesse Anderson accompanied by Truth Martini) with a double superkick
10) In a definite Match of the Year candidate, AAW champion Michael Elgin retained his title over Sami Callahan in a bruising match

After the matches, we hung around and talked to several of the stars, including matchmaker Tony Rican, Truth Martini and Christina Von Eerie.

It was a great time an we definitely will be back and encourage others to check them out.
