By WorlWrestlingInsanity.com

The 106th edition of JG’s Radio Free Insanity is on the air and available right now at WorldWrestlingInsanity.com (Flash and MP3 download) This week's show features Al Snow in his first interview since leaving WWE.

James Guttman begins the show by talking about Al Snow and his uncut 61 minute ClubWWI.com interview. Al has been a part of WWE for…well, ever.  Known early on as one of wrestling's greatest technicians, Snow always faced a problem of finding the right gimmick.  As Avatar and Leif Cassidy of the New Rockers, Al couldn't seem to find his niche.  That is, until he joined ECW.  Then, thanks to a mannequin head, he became the company's cult baby face and it was smooth sailing from there.  Known for being both a hard-nosed trainer and a funny guy to be around, Al has tons of stories to tell and does just that during his shoot.

Among the other topics you'll hear in Al Snow uncut 61 minute ClubWWI.com shoot are:  The End of WWE's OVW Relationship, Why His Own Immaturity Lead to Early Career Frustration, The Truth Behind Why He Calls Trainees His "Kids," What Mick Foley Threatened To Do To "Head," Why Head Had a Mouth, The Birth of the Head Gimmick, Why Paul Heyman Hated It,  The New Rockers, Marty Jannetty, Working WWF and ECW At Once, The Head Cheese Gimmick, Wrestling/Mafia Connection, Issues With Ole Anderson's Book, Working With Steve Blackman in Backstage Skits, His First ECW Match With Chris Benoit, Where He Was When He Found Wal-Mart Pulling His Action Figures, The Kelsey Grammar-Tough Enough Feud, His Pick For Wrestling's "Greatest Worker In The Business Ever," and More.

Remember, Al Snow is one of well over 100 stars you can hear uncut on ClubWWI.com. Some of these names include: Jerry Lawler, Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, Bobby Heenan, Kevin Nash, The Iron Sheik, Sid Vicious, Paul Bearer, Bruno Sammartino, Tito Santana, Tod Gordon, Charlie Haas, Tom Prichard, Jacques Rougeau, Tammy Sytch, Too Cold Scorpio, Ole Anderson, Kid Kash, John Heidenreich, Jimmy Hart, Jimmy Valiant, Bad News Brown, Nick Bockwinkel, Dory Funk Jr, Diamond Dallas Page, Rob Conway, Sylvain Grenier, Buff Bagwell, Christian Cage, Jazz, Demolition Ax and Smash, Koko B. James then congratulates Joseph Kent on winning the ClubWWI.com WrestleMania Ticket Contest.   He found all ten that were hidden and now has his hands on THREE tickets to the big show care of the Club.

Also, all who participated in this contest received a free week added to their Club Memberships as a thank you.  And…speaking of thank yous, a big thanks goes out to Mike Rickard for helping to set all this up.

JG then mentions that there will be no Raw Insanity tonight, but rather an ECW Insanity tomorrow so be sure to check WorldWrestlingInsanity.com for that.  Fear not, though.  Mallory Mahling will be by tonight with her real time reporting of Monday Night Raw as it happens.

With that, James Guttman cues up clips from Al Snow's  uncut ClubWWI shoot.

James Guttman introduces Al Snow.  Snow replies with a "How-di-do."  JG asks how things are in his world and brings up a question on most people's minds -- the end of World Wrestling Entertainment's relationship with developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling.  A huge part of OVW, Snow found himself released in the fallout.  James Guttman started things off by asked about his WWE departure.

"Things are going great and I'm, uh, I've got a lot of different things going on…Trying to get out there again in to the Independent world and start wrestling more often.  I was so devoted to OVW and such schedule wise that it was very difficult for me to get away.  Now I'm free to take advantage of any opportunities that come up.  So I'm really excited."

James says that it's a common theme with many newly released WWE stars that spent a great deal of time there.  On one hand, it's not good to leave.  On the other, they're excited because now they can pursue things they couldn't before.

"WWE is a fantastic company to work for a wonderful place to do business with and you know with the training and all my responsibilities in OVW, I just didn't have the time to take advantage of things.  Now I'm looking forward to it."

- ClubWWI.com break -

James Guttman brings up Steve Blackman's ClubWWI appearance and how it wasn't until he teamed with Al that his personality started coming out.  James asked Snow about this pairing and, what would become, their show-stealing skits.

"How it happened was, at the time, they had an idea that Vince didn’t want to do which was to give me an army of evil midgets, which I really wanted.  But I shot myself in the foot at first by saying, 'Oh, I think it's gonna make me a joke.'  But then I started thinking, wow.  This could really be great.  But then Vince didn't want to do it.  I went to Brian Gewertz, the writer, and I said, 'Why don't you put me with Steve Blackman?'  I said, 'I can make Steve Blackman's not having a personality into a personality.'  He was the perfect straight man.'

Al then spoke about the skits they did and how popular they became.  Their quarter hours did really well.

"They were entertaining.  We had our own little TV show. You know?  Each week, it was a new episode of 'What Will Steve and Al Do This Week?'  Some of the stuff I came up with was just…Abraham Lincoln.  The Time Traveling Show.  The Alien.  And then, the common theme was that every time I turned my back, Steve would hit or attack the characters or whatever that I tried to involve without me knowing it.  So I was painfully oblivious."

The discussion doesn't end there. You can hear it all in Al Snow's uncut 61 minute ClubWWI.com shoot are: Why His Own Immaturity Lead to Early Career Frustration, The Truth Behind Why He Calls Trainees His "Kids," What Mick Foley Threatened To Do To "Head," Why Head Had a Mouth, The Birth of the Head Gimmick, Why Paul Heyman Hated It, Working WWF and ECW At Once, The Head Cheese Gimmick, Wrestling/Mafia Connection, Issues With Ole Anderson's Book, Working With Steve Blackman in Backstage Skits, His First ECW Match With Chris Benoit, Where He Was When He Found Wal-Mart Pulling His Action Figures, The Kelsey Grammar-Tough Enough Feud, His Pick For Wrestling's "Greatest Worker In The Business Ever," and More.
