In 3 years Alicia’s House has fed over 18,000 people.

The 3rd annual Alicia’s House Celebrity Golf Outing, Silent Auction and Dinner will be held at the Manteno Golf Club on Saturday, September 17th. Registration starts at 10:00 am, and a shotgun scramble starts at 11:00 am.

Tickets are for 18 holes of golf, cart, coffee and donuts, lunch and
dinner. Various hole prizes will be offered. The cost of the outing is
$75.00 or you can purchase a dinner only ticket for $25.00 by calling Alicia’s House at 708-946-3002 or by visiting

Following the golfing the clubhouse will be opened to the public from 3:30 to 5:30 for a special meet and greet session with the celebrities that will be on hand. This will be your time to meet our special guests, which include Basketball Hall of Fame Honoree Meadowlark Lemon. Meadowlark is one of the most popular basketball players of all time and many remember him as the most famous Harlem Globetrotter.

Also attending will be WWE Hall of Fame Honoree “Handsome” Harley Race, who was the very first WWE King of the Ring and former 8 time NWA World Champion.

“The Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant, who is also a WWE Hall of Fame Honoree, will be on hand, as well as “Freebird” Buddy Roberts.

Also appearing will be American Karate Association Hall of Fame Honoree “Mr. Karate” Juan Hernandez, Mancow’s Morning Madhouse crew member “Turd,” President of The American Karate Association John Sharkey Jr., Gospel recording artists “The Smiths”, The Chief, R.T. Brewer, and various other celebrities.

The Silent Auction and raffles will start at 3:30 and end at 5:30 pm.
The auction will feature over 200 items of memorabilia autographed from your favorite sports star, movie star, political figure, authors, and other celebrities. Some of the items featured in the auction include 2 tickets to the NHRA Nationals on September 29th – Oct 1st and dinner with NHRA driver Erica Enders, a Michael Jordan jersey, a Shaquille O’Neal basketball, a Jim Kelly football, a Pete Rose baseball, and numerous other items.

Juan and Stella Hernandez started Alicia’s House to honor their
granddaughter Alicia, who passed away at the age of 4 on January 14th, 2001. Alicia’s House is a not-for-profit, 501c3, food pantry that provides food at no cost to families and individuals in our local area.

In 3 years Alicia’s House has fed over 18,000 individuals. Also every Thanksgiving Alicia’s House provides meals to hundreds of families and at Christmas Alicia’s House provides not only meals to hundreds of families they also provide gifts and stockings to children. Last year Alicia’s House provided Christmas gifts and stockings to over 500 children.
