ANOTHER FAN REPORT FROM WHITE PLAINS FANFEST

This is a report from the fanfest in white plains. I drove from five hours away and stayed in white plains friday night. I arrived about 8:30 am before any wrestlers or vendors. I later helped Ken from Ken's cards and collectibles unload his car. I waited in side talking to some wrestlers as the arrived. Like many signings the lineup changed many times before the date of the event. I however do not blame the promoters or vendors for this in anyway. We were not let in until about 11:30. The reason for this was because the person with all the tickets was in a car accident on the way to pick up Charles Wright. It was a little disorganized but they did the best they could. The super ticket guest time were posted on the web site if you did click signings times on the fanfest web site. I say this because the report already posted said they were not aware it was set up in blocks. The super ticket guests were started after the scheduled times but stayed later to make up for it. The guests of the last block even started early. I met every guest that was availiable.Of course some guests canceled like Leticia Cline,Duane Gill,Axl Rotten and Van Hammer. Kenny Doane was a unannounced guest. Here are my experiences with the guests. Brutus Beefcake: Was very nice and thanked me for coming. Tito Santana: Was great as always. I told him how my grandfather met him years ago and he was very interested in my story. Nunzio: Great Guy asked how I wanted him to sign my items. Shelly Martinez: Was very friendly and thanked me for the support and personalized my items. Butterbean: Was very nice. Charles Wright: Told me my piercings were cool and talked with me for a about five minutes. Tommy Dreamer: Remember me from a previous signing and was very nice. I left the magazine he signed at the table and he trakced me down and gave it to me. Rikishi: Was very happy to be part of the event. I told him sorry about losing Umaga and he thanked me. Marc Jindrak: Talked with me for awhile about AAA and he told me about the new wrestling show he will be on. It will be on MTV2 on June 19th. Tony Mamaluke: Talked for awhile about how good he thought the show later in the night would be. He was right. Ron Simmons: Was very nice Virgil: Was nice and he took a free picture with my mom for mothers day. Claudio,Scotty,and Sara: Were all very nice and asked about me Velvet: Was very nice and talkative. Angelina: Was very friendly. I left about 10 signed photos at her table and the vendors kept them for me. Matt Borne: Was very nice I told him it was a honor to meet him and he thanked me. Dick Kroll. Told me about his favorite matches to ref. Justin Credilbe: Talked to me many times thru out the day and was so nice. Jerry Lynn: Thanked me coming from so far away. Amazing Red: seemed shy but was nice Greg Valentine: Acted out of it. But still was nice Manny Fernandez was great I talked to him many times Joel Gertner. Very friendly and was promoting mxw. I bought all the dvd's Damien Demento: Was very laid back and nice Ox Baker: Wished my mom happy mothers day. He was so kind Sonjay Dutt. I prayed during the picture and I told him I was stealing his gimmick and he laughed. Davari. Talke about wrestling in Puerto Rico resently Hacksaw: Talked about some old memories and was very interested in talking Aj was very nice I told him to get his belt back he said he would Alexa Thatcher. Was nice Kenny was very humble Balls Mahoney remembered me from before and was very talkative as always Paul Burchill: Had never saw the figure I had him sign and we talked for a few minutes The Pope drew horns on demond wolfes picture that I had. He also gave my mom a kiss. Desmond. Drew on the popes picture as well he knew exactley who was messing with him I probably just bored everyone reading this. All in all I had a great time. I was worried that I would not have enought time to meet everyone. I had more than enough time to meet and talk with everyone. This was the one of the only signings that allowed this much time. I even left to get a bite to eat. The wrestling event at the end of the night was fabulous as well. I would have drove 10 hours or more for the amount of fun I had. I know I left a few people out of my list. I am sorry but I met so many people. I just wanted to thank everyone for a great time. Kevin Witmer |
