S.F. and more….

From now on, I am going to recommend that the wrestlers, whoever they are, demand at least half their money up front.  Sad but true, that is what is needed now, with conventions that want to rip off the talent.  In just a three short months, we have had three mess ups like Long Island, Indiana and now San Francisco.  My question is how come things like this doesn't happen to Baseball, Football or any other sport only Wrestling??

I think the talent should demand to see a BOND or ESCROW letter.  I believe that boxing promoters have to do that.  When a convention such as the magnitude of San Francisco is announced it should send out a red flag, and a background check needs to be done.  Who are these people?  Do they have the money to cover ALL expenses, without using money from the fans to cover expenses?  Nobody should count on money from the fans to cover expenses.

If a wrestling show is involved with the Convention, I think the state athletic commission needs to be involved to see that everything is on the up and up, and safe for the talent to work.
But if wrestling is considered "Sports Entertainment" because of the WWE, that's a shame because then the state athletic commission have their hands tied.  The State Athletic Commission should be allowed to control these shows fully.  (In S.F. they did not allow the MMA show because of an incomplete ring, a safety factor.)

I remember being at Madison Square Garden, the commission didn't allow Volkoff to wrestle on the show, because his blood pressure was off the charts.  What protection is there now, at least in New York??

Since I am really one of the only websites on the internet that tries to cover all the Wrestling Autograph Signings and Conventions, I feel responsible when things turn out this badly.  (That is one of the reasons, I ALWAYS ask you fans to send me your reports, whether the signing is GOOD OR BAD.  That is the only way I can know if the promoter was honest or not.)
Without our readers help, this is NOT possible.

I have already received lots of emails which will be posted shortly.  Many readers went and had a good time and I will be posting what the wrestlers say also.  It was a wrestling fans dream come true, as J.J. Williams told us with his pictures update.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, I need your help to update this ongoing story.

Besides being sick, I have felt VERY sad that this has happened yet a third time in three months.

Anyone out there that knows Professor Elliot Maron, if you want to give him a cheer up call, his number has been changed  Please call him @ 718-630-8070.  Thanks.  Elliot stay strong and know our prayers are with you....
