Hi Georgie,

We attended LOTR VI yesterday and once again Terence Brennan and James Soublasis delivered a fun filled convention experience. Meeting all the wrestlers was a total joy. Not a cranky one in the bunch. We got to the Hotel at seven am and decided to have some breakfast in the hotel restaurant before our long day.  As we entered the hotel we were met by Terence who was setting up photos and getting everything ready for the big day ahead. Terence welcomed us with a warm handshake and gave us our wristbands and we were off for a bite to eat. After breakfast we decided to get our 8 X10 photos we needed at the photo booth which by the way were beautiful prints and for the cost of $3.00 are well worth it. At about 9 am the doors opened and everyone was allowed in. We chatted with Bud Carson and Chad a bit at his table until our number was called for session one. An announcement was made for 1 - 20 so having a low number 4 we were first to be called up in line. All the wrestlers for session one came in and off we went. Typhoon, Fred Ottman was first and was very friendly to us. After Ottman was Chris Masters who too was very nice. Next was Steve Blackman who is in great shape and looks like he can still wrestle. Again very nice. After Blackman came Larry The Ax Henning a true Legend. I had him sign a magazine from the 60's that had a photo of him and Harley Race on it. He really liked the mag and look through it. After the Ax came Greg Gagne another Legend on my must meet list. Greg was great. We chatted about the AWA as he signed my items and he asked Taylor how school was going and that Summer was right around the corner. I was thrilled to see him interacting with Taylor. After Gagne was Mr Hughes who was in really great shape. When I first saw him I didn't recognize him. After Hughes was Ultimo Dragon who remembered us from the San Fran convention last October. He commented to us how well run LOTR was and how he was really enjoying himself. The first session was over for us so we made our way over to get our Ivan Putski autos at the Putski table. Mombo Rivera from Wrestling Reunion had brought Putski in and always has top talent at his table at these conventions. Mombo runs great signings, again very well organized and a breeze. His wife was selling the tickets and Mombo collected them and took care of the polaroids. Ivan had a nice line but before we knew it we were next. Ivan was in great spirits and greeted us which was very nice. He signed all of our items and though we didn't purchase a photo opt, Mombo let us take a free polaroid with Ivan who had an WWF tag team belt with him for the photos. This added a nice touch to the photo taking. After Putski session two began pretty much on time and the lineup was Demolition with Mr Fuji first. Bill Eadie shook our hand and as always was the perfect gentleman as was Barry Darsow. Fuji was quiet but signed like hell and faster then a speeding bullet. God bless you Mr Fuji! Ken Patera was after Fuji and we had some conversation about his IC run and the AWA. I was really looking forward to seeing Ken Patera and he delivered in every sense of the word. After Patera came Honky Tonk Man, met him a bunch of times always nice to us. Gillberg was next and man was he happy to be there. He got up, shook our hand and thanked us for coming to the convention. Next was Too Cold Scorpio. Man where do I start. Happy, kind and courteous would be three words to describe Too Cold Scorpio. He stood up, shook my hand and signed all of our items while standing and chatting about WCW and other wrestling topics. When it came picture time he made sure that the photo came out as he wanted us to have a nice together to remember him by. A total class act and his kindness I will never forget. Last but not least in the lineup was the main event Booker T. Two words, totally awesome describes Booker. Just a totally super nice guy. We talked about Harlem Heat a bit and TNA and I enjoyed getting a little insight into these topics. We had a super nice visit with Booker. After session two we had one more person to visit with which was Sharmell so we made our way over to Mombos table again to purchase tickets. Sharmell was very nice to visit with. We had some conversation about her Paisley character in WCW and got our items signed. After meeting Sharmell we said our goodbyes to all our friends and we headed home. I have a bunch of people to thank for making LOTR VI such an enjoyable experience for us. First off, Terence and James I can't thank you guys enough for all your hospitality you show Taylor and I when we visit your show. We get a bit spoiled when we attend LOTR as we are treated like royalty. A heartfelt thank you to you both as each LOTR gets better and better. Also a thank you to Dave and Dan and the whole LOTR staff as they break their butts to make sure the show runs smoothly and efficiently. They are a super bunch of people. Mombo and his wife, thanks to you guys for being great friends through the years and always hooking us up when we visit your table. Bud, Chad, Ken+Steve, Eric, Dan, and  all of our convention friends nice seeing you guys again always fun chatting at these conventions. Can't wait till October. If you have never been to a LOTR convention make plans to attend the next one which will take place October 10 - 11. Bigger venue, rare guests, super show http://www.ironriverfilms.com/lotr.html
