Georgie:

Just wanted to share my views of Justin Credible’s Icons of Pro Wrestling.  I was a vendor but the person that went with me bought a superticket.

We arrived to the Courtyard in Cromwell around 7:30am.  Wanted to be early and set up, drive down from Boston was a little more than 2 hours.  Ran into Nathan, one of the promoters, and got set up early.

My friend need to buy his ticket so at 8:30 he got his ticket and it was number 28.  It was a low number and but right before doors open I went out side, there was over 100 people outside.  Once doors opened VIP supertickets were sold out.  Congrades Nathan and Justin.

There were at least 300 people there for New England ’s first wrestling convention.  Nathan Ward and Justin Credible did a great job with this event.  Everyone that worked with them did the best they could to keep things in control and things went great.

Real nice 8x10 photos were sold for superticket guest.  Vendors had everything from signed photos, figures, T-shirts, hats, DVD’s, VHS, magazine, photos and everything you could think of.  DPW wrestling from CT was there promoting there shows.  Jason Knight was their promoting his school.  TNA’s TNAtion Boston group had a table set up promoting Hard Justice ppv and Impact.

I few people were there promoting a video game convetion.  Game Unicon (www.GameUnicon.com) and it will have Tammy “Suny” Sytch and TNA’s Velvet Sky (Talia Madison) signing autographs.  On of the guys said that it is 3 days of celebrity signings, video games, and live music.  August 21-23 at the Marlborough , MA Best Western Royal Plaza .

Northeast Wrestling (ww.northeastwrestling.com) wrestler and local talent Vik Dalissus on half of the Now tag team was their talking to the fans and wrestlers alike.  UFO Wrestling (www.myspace.com/ufowrestling) star and local wrestler Josef Von Schmidt was also walking around meeting the fans and meeting the wrestling legends.

Through out the day wrestlers like Justin, Scott Hall, New Jack, Gorgeous George, and Terry Funk went on the microphone to talk to the fans.

            Superticket guest:

Justin Credible – he was great to the fans.  He was very busy trying make things run smoothly.  I heard he was not in a block but if you wanted his autograph you just needed to show him your ticket.

Block 1:

Scott Hall, Tom Brandi, Marty Jannetty, New Jack and Giant Silva

Scott Hall – from what I saw was very friendly and was joking around with the fans.

Tom Brandi – Is always a great guy spoke with him for a few minutes.

Marty – seemed very friendly and was joking around with Scott Hall.

Silva- was told he was friendly

New Jack – he is crazy.  He went on the microphone a number of times and entertained the fans and wrestlers.  Saying that a convention was “not like a zoo, don’t just look at the wrestlers.  But it is more like a strip club and spent that money.”

Everyone got a kick out of New Jack.

Champions photos

Race, Funk, Marty, and Justin took group photos with the fans with the different title belts.  From what I was told, Race had his NWA belt, Funk had an ECW title, Marty had the IC and WWF Tag Title, and Justin had the ECW title

Block 2:

Rick Fuller, Tony Devi to, Harley Race, and Terry Funk

Rick Fuller – great guy, always very friendly.  He was playing around with the young kids.  Someone asked him to sign a beer bottle he said no because he does not want young fans to think he supports drinking.

Tony Devito – another very Friendly guy.  He told me this was his first convention and enjoyed seeing old friends and the fans.

Harley Race – he had his NWA title with him.  Very quiet but friendly and happy to see everyone.

Terry Funk – what can you say that has not been said.  Terry is the man.  He thanked the fans for supporting them.

Vendor signers:

Bob Backland – very entertaining like New Jack.

Gorgeous George – look like she lost a lot of weight.  Extremely friendly.

Ox Baker – he is a character, was signing off and on all day.

Jason Knight – he was very cool.  Signed whatever people had.  Quiet but very nice and friendly to everyone.  Said he wants to do more conventions because he likes meeting the fans and seeing old friends.

Nidia – she looked amazing.  A real nice sweet lady.  She could not be any nicer to the fans.

Ryan Shamrock –seemed nice and looked great.  Goofed around after a wardrobe change saying that she needed pimp up to get more photo ops.

Other vendors’ signers:

Stevie Richards, ODB, Missy Hyatt, Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten, King Kong Bundy, Joy, and Spike Dudley.
