Im a long time reader and thought I would send you my experience at the Rumble
The day started with me taking the 7:10am train from Stratford CT to grand central. Got to NY around 8:45a
We walked to the AT&T store for a signing with Brian Kendrick and Beth Phoenix. Line was decent waited about an hour to meet them. They were both extremely nice. Some dumb guy in front of us goes to Brian Kendirck "hey Jason who is gunna win the Rumble" Brian was like "my name is Brian and im not in the Rumble" Brian looked very pissed so I yelled "hit him with the sliced bread number 2"
Beth was very friendly signing and taking pics. I told her wow you are a lot nicer than on tv. She laughed and said "lets keep that our secret"
After the signing we had time to kill so we went to the Hilton hotel to meet some baseball players who were there for the awards dinner. I was only interested in the Yankee players.
We got to see Dustin Pedrioa, Billy Wagner, and C.C. Sabathia. We were there for a good 4 hours. I was pissed since we didnt eat all day we left around 4:30 to eat and head to the rumble. Another friend who wasnt going to the rumble calls me to tell me we just missed Johnny Damon (who I wanted to meet) said Damon signed for everyone. Then calls me an hour later and said Joba Chamberlain arrived and signed for everyone too. A-Rod wouldnt sing for anyone.
We arrive at the Garden waited about an hour for them to let us in. Got to my Section 25. It was wonderful. I look down our row and Pete Gas of the Posse is sitting there. I said hi and talked for a few. He said he just got off the phone with Shane Mcmahon and Shane was stopping by and if we could try not to draw attention. Shane ends up coming by after the JBL/Jericho match. Kids were coming up to him and he was super cool taking pics with everyone. I went over to him and he signed my Raw 15 magazine. Jokingly I asked him to give me a job. He stayed for the rest of the show and they got a guard to come over and block people from coming down. He was really into the show marking out like a fan.
I thought Rey/Edge was great. Edge was super over with the crowd.
Taker #1 shocked me then HBK #2 shocked me more. Them picking up where they left off from last year was great. Anyone against Taker/HBK at wm24?
Tommy Dreamer was over. Batista was booed for eliminating him.
I totally marked out for Snuka and Piper.
the ending was what it was. I am very grateful the internet did not spoil this show as no one expected Cena.
got home at 230am with the chair to cap off a long but awesome day.
