I saw the letters from stephen faust and kerry and I wanted to respond.
I've been a wrstling fan since 1984 when I saw the n.w.a. wrestling.
I was introduced to the road warriors, jake roberts, the four horsemen and ric flair.
And wrestling was amazing. Not really violent but still it had action and there was some really interesting stories to follow. Therein lies the magic.
I love the entertainment side of it but I'm also a purist I love the flair/steamboat type matches, brock lesnar/ kurt angle, tlc matches and good wrestling.
Rowdy roddy piper has said that what he loves the most about pro wrestling is that it has given him a family. I'd agree with that.
There have been times in my life I've wondered what my loves are.
What do I love. What do I really love?
And I found pro wrestling. I love it simply because I love it.
Theres something about it and I embrace it.
In a sort of way its given me a family too.
Going to autograph signings and meeting the wrestlers in person is an experience I didnt think I'd ever have. It's a great feeling. Meeting other wrestling fans has been tremendous. A month ago at the ric flair signing in Washington D.C. I spent 9 hours in line. by the end of the day alot of us ( at the front of the line ) seemed to ask the same question....Why dont we wrestling fans get together and share/show our championship belts, autographs, photos, figures, exchange our stories and opinions more often??
Getting ric flairs autograph was good but meeting the other wrestling fans that day was GREAT. No disrespect to anyone. You even posted a pic of us.
I'd like to ask wrestling fans to be careful when sending items to the different promoters that they use delivery confirmation and insure your item(s) so you ( and I ) dont lose our items.
About "supershows" I'm glad there is big reunion wrestling shows like nwa legends and signamania and I hope to go to them because I've never been and they both sound reputable and a great experience for fans. Maybe we ( wrestling fans shouls have a promoter links page so we can share opinions with other wrestling fans about which promoters arent reputable and which ones are.
as a veteran myself I'd like to say thank you to those military wrestling fans far from home serving your country PLEASE pass on a big hearty thank you and you are very much appreciated. Come home safely.
