ATTENTION AMATEUR FIGHTERS!The Danger Zone is now matching its March 1st event for Coldwater, Michigan. Danger Zone 35 will be an all-Amateur card and if you are interested in competing, you may contact us directly at [email protected] or call the office at (517) 278-4908. We currently have 12 fighters confirmed, and are looking to make 15-20 matches.
* All fighters must have an up to date HIV Test, Hep B and Hep C test (Per the state of Michigan) available at the day of the fight to show our fight doctor. If you would like information on where you can have these done for free, contact us.
* We do ask that fighters send in a $50 deposit to confirm that they will fight on the event. This money is returned on the day of the fight. Any questions, please ask.
* The following are the rules that “The Danger Zone” must follow in order to bring these events to Michigan: NO STRIKING ABOVE THE WAIST WITH A CLOSED FIST WHILE BOTH FIGHTERS ARE STANDING.***
Why no striking with a closed fist? Because the State views this as a violation of the Michigan Boxing Regulation Act. Therefore, any element of boxing is not allowed in MMA; at this time. No closed fist strikes above the waist in the clinch as along as the fighters are standing. No closed fist strikes above the waist while both fighters are standing. If a fighter is standing and the other fighter is on the ground that eliminates the "boxing element" and therefore YES you can close your fist to strike the fighter on the ground.
