4/4/2009 NWA Anarchy TV Taping Report
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A crowd of around 180 fans came out for the last stop on the 2009 highway to hell as we anxiously await Hardcore Hell 2009 on April 18th. The card was finalized and what an event it's shaping up to be as we prepare to celebrate the rich history associated with the NWA Arena, NWA Anarchy and it's preceding affiliates.
"The Rev" & Shaun Tempers interrupt Greg Hunter's intro to the TV show by announcing another Hardcore Hell match, stating that Iceberg didn't take kindly to young punks getting main event matches without earning them, so newcomer Orion Bishop would be taking on "The No Pain Train" at Hardcore Hell, and Azrael would steamroll through Malachi. The Rev then began bragging about their master plan to betray Truitt Fields. Tempers thanked all the fans, he said, because without them cheering for him and believing in him, Truitt Fields never would've believed in him and he'd have never pulled it off. The Rev stated they fooled Truitt Fields, the wrestlers, the fans, and even NWA Anarchy head honcho Jerry Palmer.
Palmer interrupted their party and stated that a suspension is definitely in order, and he's contemplating banning Tempers & the Rev from the NWA for life after attempting to blind Truitt Fields with mace. The Rev responded by taunting Palmer about his honesty, and how it's his tragic flaw. He reminded Palmer that he'd already promised Tempers one more shot at the TV title a couple weeks ago. Palmer was bewildered that they'd still try and hold him to that after him agreeing under false pretenses, but stated that he was a man of his word, and that he'd keep that promise...but that's a promise of one match, and it will only happen when Truitt Fields is physically ready. Truitt Fields then came down the ramp helped by officials with bandages over his eyes. Tempers & Wilson taunted Fields and stated they'd love to take advantage of a blind man, so sign the match already. Fields ripped off the bandages, along with his shirt and The Rejects bailed. Fields reminded everyone that he served his country as
1) The Rowdy Friends (Don Matthews, Jessco Blue and The Wild Bunch) defeated Aaron Lee, Antoine Jordan, Matt Mercer and Brandon Parker in around 3 minutes after Matthews hit the lariat.
- This match featured the first combined effort from Don Matthew's "Rowdy Friends". Matthews had stated that he had to recruit his own army to fight the Entourage and boy has he. The Wild Bunch of Billy Buck and Chris King who've proven they can hang with the toughest in NWA Anarchy, as well as "Hellbilly" Jessco Blue, the outrageous wildman from Applachia. The "Rowdy Friends" wiped the mat with these 4 newcomers in a bout that was met with incredible fan approval.
- Postmatch we found out from Don Matthews that he was notified just before the match that The Entourage will take on The Rowdy Friends in an 8 man tag at Hardcore Hell. "We'll have a pig in the ground, and some beer on ice and all my rowdy friends are coming to Hardcore Hell!!!" stated Matthews.
2) Mr. Rob Adonis defeated Chip Day in around 6 minutes with The Claw.
- Chip Day fought hard but try as he might he just couldn't take the massive "One Man Insurance Policy" Rob Adonis off his feet. The sheer power of Adonis was just too much for "Do or Die" Chip Day to overcome. One mistake too many found Day exactly where he didn't want to be....in the grip of the man with the most powerful tendon strength in all of wrestling and the master of the clawhold. Once the claw was applied Day had no hope of breaking it and Adonis put him out.
- An interview filmed in Jeremy Vain's personal gym with Greg Hunter aired with Vain explaining his history with Shadow Jackson going back to their training together and Vain laying out one more challenge for Shadow to face him at Hardcore Hell. Vain stated that he was always the best. From day one he was pegged to be a star, and Shadow Jackson was always a step behind him in wrestling school. He stated Shadow Jackson only received opportunities because he was friends with Jerry Palmer and because the fans loved him. Vain claimed he is and always will be the superior wrestler, calling
3) Anarchy Tag Team Champions: Talent & Money (JT Talent & Drew Pendleton) and The New Wave (Derrick Driver & Steven Walters) fought to a double DQ at around 10 minutes.
- These two teams have built quite a heated rivalry here in 2009 and have ultimately become arch enemies. New Wave cashed in their rematch clause here, and kept their cool going into this bout which had them a step ahead of the champions in the early going. Talent & Money gained an underhanded advantage and took control of the bout.
It was announced that the two teams would be squaring off in a falls count anywhere Street Fight at Hardcore Hell for the titles.
- Brodie Ray Chase & "Hands Of Steel" Seth Delay were shown backstage talking about what a huge payday they'd get if Delay was able to wrest the Heavyweight Championship from Shadow Jackson tonight. They were interrupted by Talent & Money who complained about Chase & Delay not getting the job done that they'd paid for. Chase stated that their envelope was short. The tag team champions stated they had more important things to worry about, like defending their titles at Hardcore Hell and stormed off.
4) Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Shadow Jackson defeated Seth Delay w/ Brodie Chase via pinfall after the 1031 to retain the title in around 9 minutes.
- The Champ was "untouchable" in the opening moments of this contest. He bounced Delay around the ring like a pinball, clearly demonstrating his size and power advantage. The sneaky Delay, and even sneakier Brodie Ray Chase on the outside, was finally able to take
Postmatch, Jackson accepted Vain's challenge for Hardcore Hell.
5) Alan Funk pinned Adrian Hawkins with a sunset flip after countering the Lygerbomb in around 6 minutes.
- Adrian Hawkins came into this match a man possessed, and you can really see the frustration and anger building in him after his recent losing streak. He went into this standing toe to toe in a brutal chop exchange with the veteran Alan Funk. Eventually it was Hawkins lack of composure and mounting frustration that caused him yet another loss as Funk countered the Lygerbomb with a sunset flip and Hawkins losing streak continues.
6) Slim J featured a KO or Tapout Exhibition with his opponent being Taco Delgado. He demonstrated various holds and the rules of the upcoming bout at Hardcore Hell vs. Todd Sexton
The Entourage spoiled Taco's fun by summoning him mid exhibition.
Todd Sexton had words for Slim J from the Wrestlevision, where he held his own exhibition with Technician Tyler Smith. Again, Slim J and Sexton will face off in NWA Anarchy's first ever ko or tapout match at Hardcore Hell.
7) The Technicians defeated TK Cross & Bo Newsome in around 8 minutes with The Regulator.
- This was a bout featuring two men trained by Todd Sexton taking on two men trained by Slim J. The Technicians are definitely the more experienced tag team and really could be a threat to the tag titles on any given night. Newsome and Cross are both entering their sophomore years here at NWA Anarchy and seem to have great potential as a tag team as they continued to show great chemistry. In the end it was the experience of the Technicians that won out as they pinned TK Cross after hitting The Regulator.
Jeff G. Bailey approached The Rev backstage to gather reassurance about their alliance. The Rev assured him he had nothing to worry about.
8) NWA National Champion Phil Shatter, Kimo, Iceberg & Young Lion's Champion Azrael defeated Malachi, Ace Rockwell, Orion Bishop & Mikal Judas after Shatter speared Malachi for the pinfall in around 17 minutes.
- The story of this match was Mikal Judas vs. Kimo. Before the bell could even ring both teams had to hold Kimo and Judas back while they sorted out who'd start the match. Judas ordered each member of his team out of the ring, and Team Elite/Rejects each seemed to be peeling off for Kimo to start but Azrael made a break for it and attacked Judas which caused the opening bell, so Judas and Azrael start it out. This was one hard hitting bout that featured tons of intensity going into Hardcore Hell. We were treated to a nice preview of each of the featured bouts here. Judas tried the entire bout to get his hands on Kimo but Bailey & The Rev had great fun playing mind games with him and denying him that opportunity. Kimo appeared to be chomping at the bit for a fight but Bailey simply wouldn't release him when Judas was legal. Iceberg & Bishop had a pretty ferocious exchange, as did Azrael and Malachi. Ace Rockwell was knocked a bit loopy by his Hardcore Hell opponent Phil Shatter, which doesn't bode well for Ace going into one of the biggest matches of his career. He did finally make the tag to Judas who destroyed everyone, but again Bailey wouldn't let Kimo at him. Malachi and Phil Shatter were tagged in during the confusion and Shatter was able to put away the Young Lion's challenger with the spear. Bailey took Kimo & Shatter and left one way and Rev, Berg, Azrael & Skirra Corvus went the other. The fan favorites grabbed the high ground and checked on Ace Rockwell who was still feeling the effects of a devastating head to head collision with Phil Shatter.
It was announced that Mikal Judas vs. Kimo 1 on 1 for the first time in Anarchy would be the final bout added to the Hardcore Hell 2009 card. And once again we'll run down that card for you:

WRESTLING: (n.) ’res-ling A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!
- Welcome to NWA Anarchy, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Season's Beatings '08 has concluded and available from www.nwaanarchy.net for your purchase and viewing pleasure.
1. Hayden Young pinned "Code Pink" Adrian Hawkins.
2. The Wild Bunch ("Brokeback" Billy Buck & Chris King) defeated the Technicians (Tyler Smith & Bob E Moore) in a
You know that was a brutal Samoan drop on the ramp on Smith by King. And you have to believe this loss doesn't sit too well with Todd Sexton.
- We head to the back where Melissa Coates allegedly received a note from NWA Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer. As she stands backstage waiting for Palmer, a pink bucket of water is dumped on her. Coates blames Palmer for her mishap and vows revenge.
3. "The Great American Scream Machine" Brodie Ray Chase pinned Jerry Palmer.
Palmer heads out to ringside without Coates. After the bell rings, Coates heads to ringside and verbally assaults Palmer. After returning to the ring, Coates nails Palmer and Chase follows up with the DDT for the victory. Palmer screams at the referee while Chase poses victoriously on the entrance ramp.
4. The New Wave (Derrick Driver & Steven Walters) defeated Talent & Money (JT Talent & Andrew Pendleton III) and the Dynamic Duo ("Numero Uno" Chad Parham & "Hands of Steal" Seth Delay) and "Untouchable" Jeremy Vain & "the One Man Insurance Policy" Mr. Rob Adonis in a ladder match to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.
Buy the DVD to watch some innovative ladder spots. Great ending.
- "The Reverend" Dan Wilson, Iceberg, Azreal, and the Staff of Righteousness shall gain their retribution on Shaun Tempers as he contemplates what his mother thinks of all the heinous acts he committed as a Reject.
5. "Son of Satan" Azreal w/Dan "the Dragon" Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness pinned Slim J to become the NWA Anarchy Young Lion's Title.
If ending up on the receiving end of the Ted Bundy and throat slit piledriver wasn't enough, Slim has to deal with a vindictive Todd Sexton. This man always puts his career on the line against Mikael Judas and somehow always ends back up on TV. He just never quits. He heads out, nails Slim J from behind, and assaults him in mid ring. Even Johnson is pissed that the Bald Head Germ hasn't stayed retired.
6. "0% Body Fat" Truitt Fields wrestled "Sugar" Shaun Tempers to a 10 minute draw to retain the NWA Anarchy TV Title.
This rematch resulted two weeks ago after Tempers saved Fields from the Devil's Rejects and invoked his "rematch clause." Johnson refers to Fields' opponents as a bunch of tomato cans. That notion backfires when Hunter mentions the name Azreal. Tempers blows out his knee on a leapfrog gone awry. Fields offers a rematch at a later date, but Tempers refuses to quit. Tempers escapes the Killing Fields and hoists Fields up. Things go awry for Tempers and Fields apologizes as he works over his injured knee. Johnson says he would rip off Tempers' knee and beat him with it; I second that notion. Mortal Kombat still rules. After commercial, Johnson says Fields should ignore the fans because they carry head lice and multiple venereal diseases. Tempers mounts a combeack and hits the Temperpedic across his bad knee as the Almighty Reverend observes his former colleague. About a minute later, the time limit expires. Tempers grabs the title and places it on Fields' shoulder much to
- Jeff G. Bailey is accompanied by Kimo and he delivers another 5 star promo. He recounts Ace Rockwell's predicaments with Kimo and the aftermath of those battles including referees vomiting blood. Bailey predicts it will be a "precise clinical destruction" and "dissection" on Rockwell. In a counterpoint interview, Ace Rockwell promises that Kimo will get beat tonight.
7. "The 7 Figured Deal" Ace Rockwell defeated "the Butcher of
Rockwell escapes the cage after Kimo catapults him. Awesome finish. Rockwell gains the victory and Kimo still looks virtually indestructible.
8. Shadow Jackson defeated "the Altar of Human Mutilation" & "Professional Wrestling's Only Serial Killer" Iceberg w/"Dragon" Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness and the "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas to capture the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
Lots of brutal three way action to end this contest. How about Iceberg landing the Ground Xero splash after Judas makes the cover on Shadow after delivering the El Crucifijo? This ends with Iceberg bouncing Judas to the floor and
- Greg Hunter, Jerry Palmer and the technico contingent congratulate the new champion for becoming the king of NWA Anarchy. Shadow emphasizes the letters N-W-A. We fade to black with a "Shadow Mania" chant.
