8PM BELLTIME……………

First the NWA GCW news. Mike Foxx, who's "injury" is more serious than thought, will be reliquishing the GCW TV title. The reason is is that he will not be able to defend the title in the 30 day time period. Also returning next week are Bio-Hazard, Bobby Sanford, "Mean" Mike Stratus and "The Loverboy" Lee Thomas. The crowd was a little smaller than last week, but not by much.
The first match was a tag match as the Anarchy Connection of Brandon P and the Anarchy TV champion Jeff Lewis took on Cru Jones and Scott Steele. All four of these guys are good workers and gave a pretty solid match. Jeff and Cru started the match off and Cru was able to lock in a headlock. But Lewis soon turned the momentum in his teams favor with some elbows to the gut. He locks Cru into a headlock and knocks Cru down with a running shoulder block. Jones is able to hit a couple of armdrags, forcing Lewis to tag in P. Brandon puts Cru into a headlock, but he gets whipped into the ropes and nailed with a dropkick by Cru. Jones hits an armdrag and P goes scurrying into his corner and tags in Lewis. While Jeff was telling Brandon about his greatness, Cru tagged in Scott. When Lewis turned around and saw Steele, he quickly went over and tagged in P. Brandon hits Scott with a knee to the gut. P tried to hit some running shoulder blocks but the bigger Steele wasn't budging. Scott ends up slamming Brandon. A few seconds later, P was able to get the upperhand for his team with a knee to the gut, but it was only briefly. Scott hits a overhead belly to belly suplex and tags in Cru. Jones puts P's arm in an armwringer, but P is able to get away and tag in Lewis. Cru hits an armdrag and locks in an armbar, then tags in Scott. Steele reverses Lewis' irish whip and then picks him up into a gorilla press slam. He locks in another armwringer, and tags Cru back into the match. As Steele holds the arm, Jones hits an elbow. Cru then hits a northern lights release suplex. Jeff was able to send Cru into the ropes where he gets nailed in the back by Brandon. P is tagged into the match, and hits Jones with a knee to the gut. As Scott distracts referee Steve Miller, Jeff comes into the ring, without a tag, locks in a front chancerory. Now it looked like Jones made the tag into Steele, but P distracted Miller. As Steve was getting Scott out of the ring, Brandon came in illegally and the Anarchy Connection whips Cru into the ropes and hits double back elbows. Now P is in the match illegally and hits an axe handle to the back. Brandon makes another quick tag to Jeff, who punches and kicks Cru, until Cru suddenly hits a clothesline out of nowhere. Lewis and Jones both make their tags. Scott slams Brandon, and then spears Jeff. Steele then P with a crucifix neckbreaker for the 1...2...3. Winners in 10:06 Cru Jones and Scott Steele.
The next match of the evening was a ladies match, as the First Lady of Bad Company Amy Young took on Rock C. Young got the action started off with a headlock and she was able to hit C with a swinging neckbreaker. But Rock started to fight back witha kick to the gut during a test of strength. C then puts Young into a submission hold as she holds her hands and pushes onto Young's stomach. Amy is able to flip over and hits a legdrop onto Rock's head. But Young's momentum didn't last long as C was able to get a pin with a bridge for a 2 count. Rock is able to put Amy in a hammerlock, but Amy escapes and nails Rock with a clothesline. C then starts to punch and chop Young in the corner. Rock then puts Amy on the top rope to superplex her, but Amy fights her way out of it. Young then flips over C and hits a running pinning superbomb for the 2 count. Amy's momentum didn't last long as Rock was able to hit a neckbreaker. She then whipped Young into the ropes and hits a sidewalk slam. Rock went to the second rope and waited for Amy to get up. She comes flying off and nails Young with a somersault neckbreaker, but she was only able to get a 2 count. Rock then climbs to the ropes again, but as the old saying goes, she went to the well once too often, and ends up missing a flying bodypress as Amy ducked out of the way. Now a strange ending to the match. Young nails C with a running bulldog and locks her in a headlock. Referee Steve Miller calls for the bell as Rock taps out. Winner in 5:30 Amy Young.
Before the first intermission, Guy Hagler did a backstage interview with Scott Steele. Steele basically said that he enjoys his time in GCW.
In the third match, 1/2 of the GCW tag team champions took on a man who outweighed him by around 70 pounds, Colt Darrenger. Colt starts the action off with a back elbow and starts to punch Erik. Darrenger eventually throws Watts outside the ring. A few seconds later Erik comes back in and nails Colt with a bicycle kick to the face, then he pays Colt back and throws Colt to the outside. When Darrenger got back into the ring he kneed Watts to the back and raked his back. He then starts to punch Erik in the corner, but Erik turned the tables. Watts then whips Darrenger into the corner and nails a powerslam. Eventually Colt starts to fight back and hits a front powerslam on Erik. After choking Watts with the ropes, Darrenger headbutts him. He then sends Erik into the corner and starts to punch away. Darrenger whips Watts into the ropes and hits a running bell clap. Erik tried to fight back with some back elbows, but Colt puts him a headlock and punches him the face. He starts to choke Watts with the rope and then stands on his throat. After slamming Erik down, Colt went to the second turnbuckle. He walked the rope but ends up missing the legdrop as Watts moved out of the way. Erik then hits a running clothesline and then slams Colt to the ground. Watts went for a sunset flip, but Darrenger was able to prevent from being taken down. Colt went for the sit down pin, but Erik moved out of the way. Watts got up and hits Darrenger with Lights Out. Winner in 6:59 Erik Watts.
The fourth match of the night took place between Bad Company's Chris Stevens and Vordell Walker. Chris locks in a headlock and get sent into the ropes by Vordell. But Stevens knocked Walker down with a running shoulder. Vordell eventually locks in a headlock of his own and also knocked Chris onto the mat with a running shoulder. A few seconds later, Walker hits a hiptoss, which he follows with a dropkick. Then he went to work on Chris's arm locking in an armbar. Walker then drove his knees into Stevens' arm. Standing on Chris' arm, Vordell stompe on it and locked in another armbar. After both wrestlers traded punches, Stevens gets the upper hand as he clotheslined Walker out of his boots. Chris hit a kneedrop and then hits a neckbreaker. A few seconds later Stevens nails Walker with a slingshot suplex and then locked in a nerve hold to the neck. A while later Chris nails Vordell with a spinebuster, and went to the 2nd rope. But Walker moves out of the way of Stevens' splash. Vordell then hits a release German suplex and started to punch Chris in the corner. Stevens was able to flip over the top rope and landed onto the apron. He then knocked Vordell down and went to the top. But Walker surprised Stevens and hits an enzuguri while Stevens was on top rope. He then nailed Chris with a superplex. A few seconds later, Walker sent Stevens into the corner again and went for another superplex. But this time, Chris blocked it and shoved Vordell off. He then went to the top rope and nailed a flying elbow drop, but Walker kicked out at 2. A short time later, Vordell hits a reverse russian legsweep and sends Chris into the corner. He went to do the corner mounted punches, when Stevens threw him over the top rope. Referee Steve Miller called for the bell, DQing Chris Stevens for throwing Vordell over the top. Winner in 12:00 Vordell Walker.
Before the 2nd intermission, Guy did another backstage interview with GCW Heavyweight champion David Young and The Queen of GCW Amy Young. Amy didn't talk, with David taking the mic over. Young said how he was going to finish the series tonight with Steele.
The main event of the evening was the second match in the Source's Triple Threat Challenge. If AJ Steele wants a title shot against David Young, he must beat Young 2 out of 3 times. David is up 1-0. The match began with both wrestlers pushing each other and then AJ slapped David. Steele then shoves Young onto his butt and then both wrestlers exchanged behind the back waistlocks. David was the first one with a takedown and he locks AJ into an armbar. Steele eventually hits Young with a hiptoss and locks in a front chancre. David gets up, causing AJ to change it into a headlock. Young sent Steele into the ropes, but gets knocked down with a running shoulder. David starts to fight back with some punches and whipped AJ into the ropes. But as Young ducked down to do a back body, Steele kicked him in the face. A couple of moves later, AJ nailed David with a dropkick and then slammed him down to the mat. Both wrestlers took turns missing moves until Steele went to the top rope. There David ran up and hits a top rope over head belly to belly suplex. He then starts to hit Steele with some forearms to the back and then hits a chinlock backbreaker . AJ started to fight back with some shoulder dives to David's knee. A few moves later Steele hits a snapmare and locks in a headlock. David gets up while AJ has him in the headlock and hits a backwards kick low blow. Now Steele tried to fight back, but Young ended that with a head pull takedown. A short time later, David hits a overhead belly to belly. But AJ soon starts to fight back as he whipped David into the ropes and hits a back elbow. Steele then whipped Young into the ropes again and hits a powerslam. But soon David hits his patented spinebuster but only was able to get a two count. Young with Steele on the ground went for a springboard corkscrew senton from the second turnbuckle, but missed. AJ claimed victory a short time later as he nailed David witha twilt a whirl sidewalk slam. Winner in 11:36 AJ Steele. The series is tied at 1-1

SCHEDULES CHANGES, NEXT NWA-PWX EVENT ON FEBRUARY 12th

Due to their outstanding relationship, the City of McKeesport and Pro Wrestling Express have struck a deal to keep NWA Pro Wrestling Express events at the McKees Point Palisades through the spring.  Due to this, some slight schedule changes have been made.
"Although some of our dates have been moved, this is still a 'win-win' situation for our great fans, and the City of McKeesport," said NWA promoter Jim Miller to pwxwrestling.net.  "We have the most loyal fans in Pittsburgh wrestling, and I know we can count on their support.  That's why this partnership has been successful thus far, our fans, our staff, our wrestlers and the city have all been extremely happy with the events at the Palisades".
For a complete updated schedule, including the dates for 'Burgh Brawl '06 and the Second Annual Mendez Memorial Tournament, check out

The next NWA Pro Wrestling Express event is now a Sunday evening matinee, on February 12th, with a belltime of 6:00pm.  As always, tickets are only $10 for ringside seats, $9 for general admission, and $6 for kids twelve and under.  Adult beverages will be available to PWX wrestling fans over 21 years of age with proper ID.  Combat your football withdraw with the hardest hitting action in Pittsburgh sports – the wrestling action of PWX!

Matches already signed include…

THREE RIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
“Sexual Icon” ERIC EXTASY
defends the title against
PAUL ATLAS
These two lock horns for the first time ever on Sunday February 12th, with the Three Rivers Title on the line!  The reign of Eric Extasy as Three Rivers Champion has been nothing short of phenomenal, as the once flamboyant Extasy has slowly earned the reputation as a never-give-up tough guy by coming back from tremendous amounts of punishment to retain his championship.  However, in challenges against Heavyweight Champion Crusher Hansen, a chink was found in Extasy’s armor, with Hansen twice pulling out victories against the “Sexual Icon”.  To ensure that Extasy is no longer a threat to Hansen’s championship, 987’s Scott Venom has paid off Paul Atlas to take Extasy out of contention by taking the Three Rivers title from around his waist.  Although the two have never met in one-on-one competition before, the cunning veteran Atlas will shrewdly exploit any weakness Hansen may have found in Extasy’s game, in his bid to add another Three Rivers title reign to his list of accomplishments during his stunning comeback.

“BEST OF THREE SERIES” FOR THE VACANT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Iron City Classic Winners BIGG & NIKITA ALLANOV
square off with the Championship Committee’s Number One Contenders
CHRIS TAYLOR & DEVIN DEVINE from 987
Although Bigg & Nikita Allanov pulled off an amazing upset to win the Iron City Classic Tag Team Tournament on January 21st, Scott Venom has named his 987 partners “King of Men” Devin Devine and “Mr. 21st Century” Chris Taylor as the number one contenders to the vacant tag team championship.  The “Stab Master Arsonist” Bigg and the “Soviet Shooter” Nikita Allanov clearly defeated Devine & Taylor in the finals to that tournament, but Venom doesn’t care about fair-play – he is out to get the tag team championship into the hands of 987.  In recent singles matches, both Bigg and Allanov have pulled out close victories against Devine and Taylor.  But, the duo has been paying a high physical price in their wins, and the finals of the tag tournament saw both of the winners battered and bloody in the ring.  Will Bigg & Allanov be able to pull a repeat upset, and win this “best-of-three series” and finally win the NWA-PWX Tag Team Championship that has eluded the duo for over a year?

NWA PRO WRESTLING EXPRESS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
"Hangman” CRUSHER HANSEN
Defends the championship in one-on-one competition.
After defeating Rage’s “Spotlight” Scottie Gash for the championship in November, Crusher Hansen has been lucky, and gotten away with avoiding a rematch, thanks in large part to 987 cohort Scott Venom having complete control of the Championship Committee.  Venom fired Gash from PWX, eliminating a serious threat to Hansen’s championship.  Now, Gash has returned, and he is demanding what is rightfully his: a rematch.  Venom has stated point blank that Gash will never get another shot at one of the most prestigious singles championships defended in the NWA today, and has reminded Gash that even though he has shown up at a PWX event – he was fired from the company in November.  Will Gash get his long awaited rematch on Sunday February 12th?

BRASS KNUCKLES CHAMPION
“Anti Christ Luchador” DEVIL BHUDAKAHN
puts his championship on the line.
The Tri Chi Fraternity’s “Hammer” Sammy Slej has demanded a match with Devil Bhudakahn, with the Brass Knuckles Championship on the line.  The leader of Apocalypse is refusing to face Slej again, on the grounds that he has already fairly defeated him in a title match.  Will Slej get another shot at the championship?  QB Blitzz made it obvious at the Iron City Classic that his partner’s pursuit of a singles championship does not sit well with him.  Will he be in his partner’s corner for this match, or could we be seeing the end of the Tri Chi Fraternity?

Plus, more of your favorite Pro Wrestling Express competitors will be in action, including: JUSTIN IDOL, 987’s SCOTT VENOM and DIRK CIGLAR, "#1" DARON SMYTHE, RAGE’s QUINN MAGNUM, SCOTTIE GASH, and BRANDON K, APOCALYPSE members EISEN DRACHE, MANTIS666, and JAKE GARRETT, “Platinum Status” DAN MILES, and more!!!

The historic Palisades is located at 501 Water Street, in the heart of downtown McKeesport's business district, along the banks of the  Youghiogheny River at McKees Point.  Located minutes from the Lincoln-Penn Parkway, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and I-70 in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA! Just blocks from the intersection of PA SR 48 and PA SR 148, Renzie Park, and Olympia Shopping Center, the Palisades will be the place to be for wrestling action in the Pittsburgh area this winter.

COME FIND OUT WHAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT - THAT FOR ELEVEN YEARS, REAL WRESTLING ACTION IN PITTSBURGH HAS BEEN SPELLED P-W-X!!!
