3/17 NWA Anarchy Report   By: Larry Goodman

Last night’s NWA Anarchy television taping was the final go home show for Hardcore Hell ’07 two weeks hence on March 31. The company appears to be heading into the big show with major momentum.

The booking put the finishing touches on the main event matches and set up a few more. The theme for the evening was the babyfaces being distracted and outnumbered at every turn. Rejects and NWA Elite were also outnumbered in their matches, not that it made one shred of difference.

A highly enthusiastic crowd of 150 was on hand at the NWA Arena in Cornelia. There are at least a couple of folks with leather lungs among that group.

(1) Kyle Matthews (with Andrew Alexander) beat Austin Creed (with Hayden Young) in 9:41. Monster pop for Creed and Young. This was scheduled as a tag, but Young confined to ringside with his arm in a sling courtesy of the number Brunettes did on him at the last show. When Creed nailed Matthews with a dropkick, Brunettes took a TO and got some Ann Coulter type heat. Alexander did a double take, like “who me?” Young protested the outside interference by Alexander. Matthews kept cutting off the comebacks, until Creed reversed a huracanrana with a powerbomb. Young popped Alexander in an attempt to cut off further interference. Creed did the Montefisto and applied a submission. It’s a leglace while also trying to pull the victim’s arm out of its socket. But Alexander distracted Creed and Matthews rolled him up. Good opener.

(2) Devil’s Reject (Shaun Tempers & Azrael & Iceberg with “The Rev” Dan Wilson) killed Caezar Chavez & Billy Buck & Jeff Jameson & J. L. Talent. The most violent squash I’ve seen in many moons. If you’re in an ugly, pissed off mood, watch this match. It will probably do you a world of good. Azrael brought out his stiffest chops for the occasion. Rejects would beat the crap out of one guy and toss him into the corner so he could tag in the next piece of meat. Talent and Jameson took the worst of it. Two guys tried to suplex Iceberg, He reversed it into a double suplex. Iceberg gave the little guy, Jameson, a cannonball splash in the corner. Then, a twenty count stalling Jackhammer. Wilson got into the act. Azrael and Tempers gave Talent a sick double team head drop. For the finish, Iceberg gave Jameson a Ground Zero splash. But Wilson said that wasn’t enough, so Berg made the little dude disappear under a 400 pound senton backsplash. It took three ref and three security guys to remove the physical wreckage from the ring.

(3) Adam Roberts (with Don Matthews) beat Patrick Bentley after outside interference by Adrian Hawkins and Seth Delay (6:02). Bentley was owning Roberts’ ass until Matthews distracted him. Bentley tried to rally with a sunset flip, but Roberts pulled him by the neck and gave him an Alabama slam into the turnbuckles for a near fall. Roberts worked over Bentley’s back bigtime. Matthews distracted again, and Roberts sent Bentley flying off the apron with a well-placed spear to the back. Ouch. Bentley sparked a comeback with a german suplex. It built to a top rope cannonball senton. More chicanery from Matthews. This time, distracting the ref. Bentley fought off interference by Hawkins, but Delay brained him with a chairshot. Roberts covered and that was that.

(4) NWA Elite (Jeff Lewis & Abomination & Kory Chavis) annihilated Chris King & Sly Storm & Chrisjen Hayme & Andrew Pendleton in 6:22. The surprise appearance of Chavis got a big pop. Apparently, Lewis decided that blondes have more fun. The highlights included a double flapjack on King, a classic Chavis Spinesplitta on Hayme and two stiff kicks to the face of Pendleton by Chavis. Bailey got his licks in as well. Lewis destroyed King with the Final Curtain and tagged in Abomination. Abomination hit his hanging tree slam on King with the little gnat Storm clinging to his back. Then he gave Strom a tree slam onto King and pinned both of them. Overall, this wasn’t as brutal as the Rejects match, but the finish was pure carnage.

(5) Justice Served (Jason Justice & Mikki Free with Al Getz) beat Phil Shatter & Truitt Fields to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles in 10:54. Shatter and Fields got a lot of offense against the champs in the early going. Fields and Shatter were showing more babyface fire. Fields hit a flip dive. Shatter gave Wrenn a spinebuster and that’s a load and a half. Once JS got untracked, they destroyed Fields with double teams. They busted out a wicked sick double Alabama Slam variation. The fans got behind Fields. He hit a satellite Russian legsweep and made the tag, but Getz had Wiley distracted. JS blasted Fields out of his boots with a double shoulder tackle, and Free pinned him.

Postmatch, Justice Served manhandled the Anarchy Angel, Mary. Free called her a stupid broad. Mary slapped him. Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer hit the ring. JS slapped the gum out of Palmer’s mouth. Urban Assault Squad (Nemesis & Shadow Jackson) cleared the ring. Beaucoup trash talking and finger pointing ensued. Palmer was hot at JS for putting their hands on a woman, especially Mary. Palmer made JS vs. UAS for the tag titles at Hardcore Hell into a double hangman’s match. Palmer said he was going to be in their corner with a third noose. The crowd popped huge for the stips. A red hot segment.

The killer squash matches, the unadvertised appearance by Chavis and the set up for the hangman’s noose match should make for a fun-filled hour of television. With 40 minutes of wrestling, it’s going to require some editing for TV.

The second hour opened with the next chapter in the Bentley-Delay-Hawkins saga. Mary was backstage interviewing Hawkins and Delay. Hawkins bragged about being the rookie of the year. Delay crowed about a ladies’ man and the chairman of the board. Bentley attacked the both of them. Bentley pummeled Delay down the ramp and into the ring. Hawkins went after Bentley with a chair. Bentley blocked it and smoked Hawkins with the Full Articulation. Bentley was ready to use the chair on Hawkins, but Delay pulled him to safety. Bentley said he could take them on now or later. Delay opted for later. Bentley’s rage continued to seethe.

(6) Team Macktion (Kirby & T. J. Mack) beat Brodie Chase & Brandon Phoenix via DQ in 9:46. Kirby totally befuddled Phoenix in the early going. Macktion got a pop with a double around-the-world baseball slide on the heels. But Chase speared the hell out of Kirby, and the heat was on. Chase and Phoenix did their signature suplex spots on Kirby. Chase used a Texas Cloverleaf. They kept ref Wesley Grissom from seeing Kirby’s tags and switched without tagging. That almost never fails to get heat in Cornelia. Kirby did a nip up into an enzuigiri and hot-tagged his brother. The heels collided. Roberts and Matthews showed up. Macktion gave them a double dropkick. Macktion was in motion for their double 619, but Chase cut them off with a double lariat. It was 4 on 2 so Grissom called for the bell. Fields and Shatter made the ring clearing rescue. Ring announcer Eddie Rich said they would go at it in an 8 man at Hardcore Hell.

The next segment was a debate between Wilson and Bailey. Moderator, Bill Behrens laid down the law: if there was any physical contact, there would be no match at Hardcore Hell and both would be gone from Anarchy. Behrens first questions got at how this situation came to be. Wilson said Bailey had broken their pact by helping Palmer bring in Abyss and A. J. Styles. Bailey ridiculed Wilson for failing against Palmer. “You can’t beat a fireman, and you wanna take on me? You must have a death wish.” Wilson said Bailey treated the Elite like pieces of meat, while the Rejects were a family. Behrens said Charles Manson and Jim Jones had families. BB asked Bailey about the status of Onyx for Hardcore Hell. Bailey said Onyx was a casualty of war, and the Elite didn’t expect him to hold their hands or salve their burns. Bailey said Onyx would be there. He promised to hurt all of the Rejects including Wilson. In turn, BB asked Wilson about Tank and Dominous. Wilson said they were hiding in the shadows and his team would be at full strength. Wilson said it was time to put old man Bailey to rest in the retirement home. BB asked Bailey about the Elite being outnumbered. Bailey said he was bringing in someone that had beaten all of the Rejects. Time stood still while everyone waited for a video to play, presumably to introduce the mystery member of the Elite. Nothing happened, so Bailey said it was David Young. The crowd popped. Wilson upended the debate table and security had to hit the ring to separate Bailey and Wilson. Awesome stuff. This is turning into a legendary feud.

Greg Hunter was backstage with Ace Rockwell, Slim J and Todd Sexton. J had heat with Rockwell about getting hit with the Aces High at the last TV. Rockwell said it was an accident. Sexton played peacemaker. Rockwell and J agreed to set aside their difference for tonight. The babyface trio departed for the ring. A disturbing sound could be heard off camera. Hunter entered the next room to find Sexton face down on the floor with Rinauro standing over him with a barbell.

(7) Ace Rockwell & Slim J beat Salvatore Rinauro & Jeremy Vain & Chad Parham in 19:20 when Rockwell pinned Rinauro with the Aces High. Parham’s tights read “Numero Uno.” Rinauro said he was going to give Rockwell a wrestling lesson, but it was the other way around, as Rockwell used dropkicks and headlocks to stifle Sal. J took Vain down with a double leg and pounded on him. But Vain distracted ref Brent Wiley, allowing Rinauro to clock J. Vain hit a facebuster to soften J up. Parham tagged in and whipped up on Slimmy. J countered Parham’s hanging neckbreaker with a shoulder mounted rolling reverse cradle. Nice hope spot. J got a tag the ref didn’t see, but that spot was played out from the previous matches. Parham used La Tapatia. J made the comeback and hot-tagged Rockwell, who was all over Parham. Parham saw the Aces High coming and scooted away for a tag to Rinauro. Rockwell picked up right where he left off on Parham. Meanwhile, Parham walked out on his partners. Rockwell hit Ray Gordy’s spinning fisherman suplex on Rinauro and Vain saved. J’s roundhouse kick followed by a Rockwell spinebuster was good for another near fall. But V crotched Rockwell on the top and nailed him with the VKO. Rinauro followed with the bicycle kick and J made the save. J hit a double flying slop drop on Rinauro and V. J put Rockwell on top of Rinauro, but Sal kicked out. Vain hit a wheelbarrow suplex on Rockwell. Rinauro covered and Rockwell kicked out. Rinauro blocked the Aces High but Rockwell got it on the second try for the 1-2-3.

The postmatch celebration came to an abrupt halt when J laid out Rockwell. J was backing his way up the ramp when he got hammered from behind by Parham. Parham put one foot on Rockwell’s limp body and raised both title belts raised over his head to close the show.

NOTES: The full card for Hardcore Hell is as follows: Parham (c) vs. Rockwell (c) vs. Vain vs. Slim with both the TV title and the heavyweight title on the line, UAS (c) (with Palmer) vs. Justice Served (with Getz) for the tag team titles in a double hangman’s match, NWA Elite vs. Devil’ AaA Rejects in an Anarchy Rulz match, Bentley vs. Delay & Hawkins in a handicap match, Brunettes vs. Young & Creed, and Chase & Phoenix & Roberts & Matthews vs. Team Macktion & Shatter & Fields…The next MAXW show is 3/24 at the Fusion Warehouse in Anderson, SC…Bill DeMott worked the APW show in Royston Friday night. Rick Michaels & Simon Sermon defeated Don Matthews & Bill DeMott when DeMott turned on Matthews, thus revealing an alliance between DeMott and his former Deep South broadcast partner, Nigel Sherrod. Corporal Punishment was the winner of a three-way for the Southern States Title over Dale Dwindle and Ryan Michaels...Tank was in Portage, Indiana Saturday night for the debut of Fight Sports Midwest where he took on Claudio Castagnoli…UAS, Chavis, and Texas Treats (Don Juan & Chris Marval) all appeared on the TNA Destination X PPV during the LAX/Team 3D segment.

NWA Anarchy TV Report
Episode 54
March 12, 2007

It's March Madness and don't forget to fill out those brackets. Also, I'm headed to an Pro Wrestling Mid-Atlantic that will feature special guests Magnum TA, Bob Caudle, Ron Garvin and Babydoll. PWMA has a good roster and normally puts on a great show. If you're headed up to the Outer Banks of North Carolina during the weekend of March 24, check out the newest NWA affiliate, Southern Pro in Ahoskie at the National Guard Armory for some high quality wrestling action.

WRESTLING: (n.) ’res-ling A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- Greg Hunter and John Johnson join us for another edition of NWA Anarchy. They recap Ace Rockwell’s successful TV Title defense against “the International Superstar” Jimmy Rave. This week, Seth Delay & Patrick Bentley face Brody Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix in a battle of the two remaining teams of the Tag Team Turmoil from Season’s Beatings. Also on tap, Truitt & Shatter face the daunting task of competing with the extremely pissed off NWA Elite.

1. Hayden Young & Austin Creed vs. Anger Inc. (Jason Blackman & Adam Roberts)
THE MATCH: Wow, the heat here is absolutely amazing. The fans cheer the faces and immediately go into a “Blackman sucks” chant. And no, they are not referring to Austin Creed, who is black. They are referring to one Jason Blackman. The crown then joins in unison, “Alabama… SUCKS~!” The bell rings and the crowd goes into yet another “Blackman sucks” chant. Holy #####, this is awesome. Creed gains the early advantage on Roberts by outquicking him with his pugilistic and wrestling skills. Young tags in to dropkick Roberts and Creed catches him with a sit down clothesline. Young makes the cover for a two count. Roberts backs Young to the corner and tags Blackman in. Young catches him with a springboard maneuver. Young turnbuckle whips Roberts, flies all the way to the floor after a leaping side kick and takes him down with a springboard Lou Thesz press. Young makes the cover for a two count. Young sets up for an atomic drop, but Roberts makes the blind tag. Roberts heads in and decapitates Young for a two count. That hurt. Young telegraphs a backdrop and Roberts makes him pay with an elbow for a two count. Meanwhile, the crowd continues to taunt Anger Inc. Blackman tags in, lands the Big Boot and hiptosses Young into a backbreaker. I’m sure “the Messiah of the Backbreaker” Roderick Strong would have been proud, even though it might have not been as painful. Blackman distracts Creed and Anger Inc. double leg snaps Young. After a commercial break, Roberts makes a cocky cover for a two count. Young ducks a double clothesline and rebounds off the ropes for one of his own. Young fires away on Blackman and receives a boot to the face when he charges in. Blackman makes him pay dearly with a huge middle ropes clothesline. Roberts tags in and stomps the exposed elbow. Roberts turnbuckle smashes Young and distracts Creed. Roberts connects with a huge spinning neckbreaker for a two count. Young begins to fire back, but Roberts catches him with a knee after bouncing off the ropes. Blackman tags in, turnbuckle whips Young and misses the Kick of Doom. Young lands an enziguri and makes the hot tag to Creed. Creed dazzles Anger Inc. with the Monte Fisto and Young lands the Flying Squirrel. The legal man, Creed, makes the cover on Blackman for the victory.
WINNERS: Young & Creed.
COMMENTS: This was the first of three good tag matches. NWA Anarchy has a rich tag team division and the ability to thrown any two teams out to put on a great match. Young & Creed are good workers and continue to show why they deserve a push. Anger Inc. was fun as the classic old school heels.
RATING: **¼

- Up next, footage airs of Delay’s miserly decision that led to his team’s downfall at Season’s Beatings. You know, Delay is about to turn heel when the heel color commentator claims that Delay is better man on a face team. Of course, that also means the color commentator is also going to claim that he carries the weight of the announcing team each week. Of course, that’s what Mr. John Johnson does best. Bentley gets tired of Delay being an ##### and decks him. One week later, Delay apologizes to Bentley. Delay says he will take a part of the blame that Bentley screwed the match up. He wants Bentley to perk up and smile. Then, in a strange move, Delay takes a seat beside Adrian Hawkins and tells him he loves pink. Hawkins appreciates the sentiments. Delay calls “Patty” to head to the ring. Hawkins tells Patty that Delay likes his ring gear. Damn, that was weird and great all in one fun interview. I hope Delay’s whacky personality gets exposed here because he has the makings of a great heel.

2. Seth Delay & Patrick Bentley vs. Brody Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix
THE MATCH: Bentley has asked us to stop calling him the “Human Action Figure.” They reflect upon Delay & Bentley not tasting gold in 18 months. Bentley tags in and viciously assaults Phoenix’s arm with double sledges. Bentley applies an arm ringer and goes for the tag, but Delay is admiring his immaculate boots. Phoenix nails Bentley and the heels go to work on him. Hunter corrects Johnson about looking good and that it pays to win on TV and not lose. Chase executes a suplex for a two count. After a commercial break, Chase & Phoenix continue to work over Bentley after he misses a dropkick. Bentley tries to fire back, but Chase displays his strength with a fall away slam. Chase slaps on the Scorpion Deathlock, but Bentley makes it to the ropes. Phoenix tags in to toy with Bentley and then delivers a head and arm suplex for a two count. Johnson calls Bentley a glory hog for not tagging out. Bentley finally buys himself time with a dropkick. He heads to the corner to make the tag, but Delay leaps off the apron and treks back to the locker room. It looks like Delay won’t be going to the Pay Windah tonight. (Go to www.ddt.com to find out who went to the proverbial Pay Windah back in WCW’s heyday. Hell, you can catch reviews of virtually every WCW show from the 90’s and an incredible Arn Anderson tribute page. Check ‘em out if you have never heard of ‘em.) Johnson blames Bentley on Delay walking out because he doesn’t get paid by the hour. Chase makes the cover for a two count. Chase follows up with a huge fireman’s carry suplex for a two count. Phoenix tags in to further assault the defenseless Bentley. Chase tags in and Bentley surprises him with a Sunset flip for a two count. Bentley follows up with a desperation dropkick as Adrian Hawkins heads out to rally him. The crowd rallies behind Bentley as Phoenix slams him. Phoenix signals for the end as Johnson notes that Hawkins is sticking his nose in the wrong business, which as any good heel color commentator would do, signal a heel turn by Hawkins. Chase takes Bentley down with a sit out chokeslam. Chase pauses and goes for a second chokeslam, but Bentley counters with an enziguri. Chase crawls over to his corner to make the tag. However, Delay heads back out to council Hawkins and walk him back to the locker room. This leaves Bentley alone, but he fights back with a huge foot when Phoenix leaps off the top rope. Bentley looks for the tag, but Hawkins is nowhere to be seen. Phoenix takes advantage of the situation with a huge STO for the victory.
WINNERS: Chase & Phoenix.
COMMENTS: This was a well executed match with the predictable heel turn by Delay. To be honest, it is time that Delay & Bentley parted ways and gets a single push for the near future. There is only so much you can do with a tag team and it seems like they haven’t been involved in any major feuds since Season’s Beatings ’05. Sure they’ve had a few mini-feuds, but no sort of big push. (Correct me if I’m wrong here.) Delay will certainly make a great heel. Also, Hawkins will probably perform better as a cocky heel.
RATING: **¾

- Guess who has something to say next? It’s our old evil buddy, one “Reverend” Dan Wilson and his Staff of Righteousness. He scorns one attorney and manager Jeff G Bailey for spending an exorbitant amount of money to rid himself of second class citizens. Ok, so he didn’t say that, but it’s pretty close. He laughs because Abyss, AJ Styles & Kory Chavis couldn’t get the job done. He then rants that poser Mikael Judas couldn’t get the job done either. He tells Bailey to take the winner’s purse from the disqualification victory and he could help shove Judas’s intestines shoved back in his business end. (Wow, that’s powerful stuff right there.) Wilson laughs and admits that Bailey is smart. And if Bailey is smart, he will quit because he is outnumbered. If Bailey shows his face again, he will be eliminated and promises his worst nightmare will occur next week because the “Son of Satan”, aka “the Satanic Pyromaniac”, Azreal will hand the most prized possession of Bailey, the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title, back to the Rejects. When it happens, it will be HELL ON EARTH~!

3. Truitt Fields & Shatter vs. the NWA Elite (Onyx & Jeff Lewis)
THE MATCH: Onyx and Shatter lock up for the proverbial Test of Strength, but Lewis helps Onyx win with a good old Greco Roman eye rake. Shatter fights out of a headlock and sends Onyx scrambling after a shoulderblock. Onyx regroups, but meets the same fate. Lewis reluctantly tags in while Hunter accuses Johnson of drinking too much cognac. Johnson says it’s hard enough to carry Hunter on commentary, but it’s even more impressive when he is carrying a 105 degree fever. Fields takes Lewis down with a dropkick and a snap suplex for a two count. Fields continues his assault with a Stinger splash. Shatter tags in and they takes Lewis down with a double shoulderbreaker. Shatter lands a fistdrop before tagging Fields back in to execute a double team Go 2 Sleep guttbuster for a two count. Lewis reverse whips Fields to the ropes where Onyx catches him with a clothesline or a forearm to the back of the neck. It was simple and effective. After a commercial break, Lewis slaps a chinlock on Fields. Fields tries to turn the move back on Lewis as Hunter turns everything back on Johnson. Fields escapes, but Lewis takes him down with a dropkick for a two count. Onyx tags in and slaps an armbar on Fields before slapping on a bearhug. Shatter takes the hot tag, but Lewis distracts the referee, so no legal tag is made. Lewis heads in to further hurt Fields’s pride. Lewis whips Fields into Onyx’s knee, but that only serves to wake him up. Fields nails Onyx and connects with a short arm clothesline on Lewis. Shatter receives the hot tag and goes to work on Lewis with a huge backdrop. However, Onyx sends Fields to the floor with a clothesline. Shatter takes exception and catches the legal man, Onyx, with a spinebuster, but Lewis is waiting in the shadows and lands a punch to the gut. Shatter has other ideas and sends Lewis flying down with a gorilla press slam. At this point, this turns into a four way. The Elite receive dualing 10 Shots to the Dome. The Elite decides that they have had enough: Lewis sends Fields flying to the floor and Onyx slaps on the full nelson on Shatter for the submission victory.
WINNER: NWA Elite.
COMMENTS: This was a good match that offered a logical explanation of why Shatter & Fields snuck in a lot of offense. They managed to hang with the Elite and showed why they are deserving of a run in Anarchy. As mentioned before, they would probably be better served as heels only to turn face down the road.
RATING: **½

- After a commercial break, Tank & Iceberg head out to decimate Shatter & Fields with unspeakable horror. Wilson grabs the mike and claims that they can beat these newbies in 30 seconds. He says they didn’t learn their lesson with they dismantled Mikael Judas and dares the Elite to return to the ring. Guess what? The Elite take them out on the dare, but Shaun Tempers heads out to outnumber them. Bailey heads back to the locker room and brings out a 99 foot tall man with a leather mask on. Needless to say, this mother #####er turns Assassin #1 by headbutting Tank and clotheslines Iceberg. He then takes out Tempers with a huge guillotine chokeslam. Dominous heads out, but Wilson pulls him back and retreats to the locker room. Bailey grabs the mike and commands the Rejects to remove their pathetic carcasses from the premises. He introduces his new giant as Abomination, the man who wiped out the Rejects like a Kleenex™ in a photo booth. He promises Wilson that it will only get worse from here. Abomination’s sole purpose is to eliminate Wilson. Remember, the Elite doesn’t get mad, they get stabby. He tells them to get the hell out of his building and head back to his Tennessee compound to regroup because they don’t stand a chance. Hunter is befuddled at Abomination as he tells us that this is the biggest message ever delivered in the NWA Arena. I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.

- OVERALL: This week featured three good successive tag matches, which is normally hard to accomplish. One major storyline was advanced as well as the ongoing Delay/Bentley/Hawkins situation. It’s easy to tell that the performers are motivated by the wrestling and fun interviews.

NWA EMPIRE’S MARCH MELTDOWN RESULTS:

NWA Empire held its March Meltdown show last Saturday
evening (March 10, 2007) at Sty. Johnsburg Firehall,
and the show provided a great night of wrestling for
the 400+ fans in attendance.

Arguably, Pepper Parks and John McChesney turned in
the match of the night. Prior to this match, Parks
and the man known as “Fabulous” had never faced each
other in a wrestling ring. You would never have known
it by the match they put on. Pepper Parks truly earns
his nickname of “Amazing” as he continued his winning
ways in WNY, taking a hard fought victory over
McChesney in an exciting 5-star match.

The main event of March Meltdown, pitting Hellcat and
Brodie Lee against Jonny Puma and Jimmy Olsen, had
every indication of being a major brawl, and it
fulfilled that prediction and more. In the end,
special guest referee Chip Stetson had so much trouble
keeping order that he finally threw the match out and
declared it a no contest. That didn’t stop the
combatants though, especially Hellcat and Puma, who
looked like they wanted to totally annihilate each
other. The brawl between the two teams finally had
the dressing room clearing as numerous Empire
wrestlers rushed in to separate the warring parties.
Can anything short of a cage be used to end this
heated war between Hellcat and Puma?

Here are the results from NWA Empire’s March Madness:

Pre-show matches:

Dewey (dressed as Dewmaga and accompanied by Armando
Alejandro (Coconut) Jones) defeated the Kovac Brothers
(Matt & Michael) in a handicap match

Colin Olsen defeated Chip Stetson with unwanted and
unsolicited help from Brodie Lee. After the match
both Chip and Colin were beaten down by Brodie and
Hellcat until Colin’s brother Jimmy Olsen and Jonny
Puma ran in to make the save.

Main-show matches:

Brandon Thurston beat Chris Cooper

Ice, Ivan Ratske, & Cade Cassidy defeated the team of
Kevin Grace, JP Hawke, & Brett Mednik

Eric Everlast defeated Gabe Saint

Rhythm & Booze (Frank the Tank & Buddy Delmar)
wrestled to a double count out with Spoiled Rotten
(Ian Decay & Troy Buchanan)

"The Amazing" Pepper Parks defeated "Fabulous" John
McChesney

The Roadies (Dunn & Marcos) defeated The Killer Steves
(Steve Kruz & Steve McKenzie) in a match that some
looked at as being a match to determiner the best tag
team in Western New York.

Damien Alexander won a match with different
stipulations. The match began as an over-the-top-rope
battle royal, with the stipulation that when the match
got down to the final three, it would become a
three-way dance. Once the 3-way dance began, the man
winning the match would be granted a spot in the Lord
of the Dance (3-Way) title match at the next NWA
Empire show. Conversely, the man pinned in the
three-way dance would be fired from NWA Empire. The
combatants in the battle royal included the likes of
Derek Duncum, Spazz, Luis Whiteshoes, Maximo Suave,
Kyle McCloud, and Evan McCloud. The final three came
down to Benjamin Smythe, “Inferno” Johnny Adams and
Benjamin Smythe. Alexander pinned Smythe to win the
match, assuring Damien of a spot in the Lord of the
Dance title match at the next show, and assuring
Smythe of a trip to the unemployment line. As the
shocked Smythe slowly came to realize he had just lost
his job, the large crowd said goodbye to Ben with the
rousing chorus of the old Steam song Na-Na Hey Hey,
Goodbye.

"The Mastiff" Will Christianson successfully defended
the NWA Empire Lord of the Dance title against Ron
Falco and “The Dark Pony” JP Black when interference
from Reese, the assistant to Falco's manager Amanda
Stroyer backfired. After the match, JP Black accused
Reese of costing him the match and spanked her in the
middle of the ring. Falco and Stroyer then berated
Reese before leaving themselves. As Mastiff came to
the ring a few fans noted that he wore the NWA Upstate
Kayfabe Dojo title belt, which he had won from Eric
Everlast at NWA Upstate’s February Fallout, over the
NWA Lord of the Dance belt.

Marc Mandrake battered and destroyed his brother Tommy
Mandrake in brutal victory that saw Marc actually
break a steel chair with a vicious shot to Tommy’s
head. Tommy showed an awful lot of heart and fight
against his older brother, before being taken out with
that chair shot. Maybe a street fight should be
booked between these two to find out exactly who has
the most heart in the Mandrake clan.

Hellcat & Brodie Lee wrestled to a no-contest with
Jonny Puma & Jimmy Olsen when special guest referee
Chip Stetson could not keep order between the two
teams and decided to throw the match out. As
mentioned earlier, the two teams continued to brawl
after Stetson’s decision was announced, and the
dressing room emptied to separate the combatants.

One really has to applaud the efforts of Stetson as
special referee during the main event. Despite his
problems feud with Hellcat, Chip called the match
right down the middle, as a good unbiased referee
should. When the match got out of hand and
degenerated into an uncontrollable brawl, Chip made
the only logical decision in calling for a no-contest.
He has proven to be a man of honor who can be trusted
to do the right thing and keep his personal feelings
in check while wearing the referee’s stripes.

NWA EMPIRE MAILING LIST CONTEST:

NWA Empire would like to congratulate Steve Pardee,
whose name was drawn last Saturday from the bucket
containing the names of all the members of the NWA
Empire Mailing List. Steve will be receiving two free
admissions to NWA Empire’s next show. Will your name
be drawn at the next show? You better be there to
find out since you must be present at the shows in
order to win.

What an night it was last night as the N.W.A. Hawaii
presented Superbash: Gettin' wild in Waianae
. A crowd
of approx. 350+ came and saw a great night of action
as they saw a new Jr. Heavyweight champion crowned, a
rookie with an upset victory over a veteran wrestler,
and one of the best Heavyweight title matches seen in
Hawaii in recent memory. Well, of to the action:

Match #1
N.W.A. Hawaii Jr. Heavyweight Championship
Bushido X vs. El Guapo (title vacant since September
2006)

El Guapo, the suprise replacement choosen by General
Manager Rich Miyamoto for The Waz, fustrated Bushido X
early by ducking below a couple of collar and elbow
lock-up attempts as well as his dancing antics. This
seemed to shake Bushido of his game a little as El
Guapo gained control early in the match. El Guapo held
the advantage thru-out most of the contest.

B.X. did manage to gain the upper hand late in the
match then hit El Guapo with a Super Kick, pretty much
knocking him out. However, instead of going
for the pin, Bushido turned his attention towards the
still injured Ricky Thunder (offical time-keeper for
this show). As Bushido was focused on Thunder, El
Guapo recovered, turned X around, kicked him in the
gut then nailed the Famasser for the pin fall victory.

Winner and new N.W.A. Hawaii Jr. Heavyweight champion:
El Guapo.
