8/20 Anarchy Report: UAS Win Benefactor Tournament

By: Larry Goodman

Urban Assault Squad won the 3rd annual Mysterious Benefactor Memorial Tag Team Tournament to cap off a solidly crafted show from NWA Anarchy. They did a 15 match show in less than three hours and it never felt rushed. They quenched the fan just enough to quench their thirst for action while opening multiple doors for the future.

It was not the most high profile pro wrestling event in the Atlanta area. That honor went to whatever they end up calling the Extremely Hardcore Wrestling minus Joey Styles PPV taping at Earthlink Live. However, I have strong suspicions that the Anarchy show was the better of the two.

In what has to be taken as a very encouraging sign about the health of pro wrestling in Cornelia, the attendance of 150 represented the largest turnout at the NWA Arena, outside of the quarterly big shows, in over 3 years. Despite the steamy conditions, these people were stoked.

The tournament, named for Georgia wrestler and manager Mike “Mysterious Benefactor” Krango, was making its first appearance in Cornelia. The 2003 tournament (won by Iceberg & Tank) and the 2004 version (won by Pomp & Circumstance) were hosted by the now defunct NAWA at Dillard’s in Rome, Ga.

A well done “pregame show” consisting of a recap of the previous show and a series of promos aired on the big screen.

Al Getz announced that Shaun Tempers was going to represent Pomp & Circumstance as a solo act because Ace Rockwell’s doctor would not clear him to wrestle. Rockwell is still suffering the after effects of taking Gabriel’s double stomp the wrong way two weeks ago.

(1) In a tournament qualifying match, Jeremy V & Nick Halen beat Slim J & Skeeter Frost in 6:52. Fans brought the hate for Halen and V. Halen carries a chair out to ringside with him. V’s facial expression were awesome. Halen took a bad bump and V wouldn’t reach for the tag. V caught Frost with head down to start the heat. Halen’s dropkick was right on the button. Frost hit a belly to belly suplex and made the tag. Finish saw J fly from the top for a reverse DDT on V, but Halen entered the ring with the chair. While Frost was separating Halen from the chair, V clocked J with brass knucks to get the pin. They were off to a hot start.

The opening round of the tournament got underway.

(2) Shaun Tempers beat Andrew Alexander & Stryknyn in 2:40. The gothic duo used underhanded two-on-one tactics to control the match. The highly sophisticated bleacher fans started a “kill the #####s” chant. Tempers hit the Temperpedic on Alexander and finished him with a tiger driver. Crowd liked Tempers going over strong.

Alexander said that since it was a tag tournament, they were still the only undefeated tag team in Wildside. They lost a handicap match to Tank and Iceberg on the previous show.

(3) Two of the Three Guys That Totally Rule (Seth Delay & “Precious” Patrick Bentley) beat Krazy K & Dexter Poindexter in 4:38. K and Poindexter got a healthy pop. K was impressive. Poindexter did some flashy stuff but he didn’t look smooth at all. K got a pop with a spinning rack drop. K took the heat. The highlight was a facebuster/enzuigiri combo by Bentley. K used a satellite DDT on Delay to set up the hot tag. K and Poindexter did a double grapevine DDT on Bentley but Delay was there to break up the pin. K took the bump of the night here. He ate a superkick while doing a headstand on the top turnbuckle and took a flip bump to the floor. Guys pinned Poindexter with a elevated full nelson/facebuster across the knees.

(4) Alabama Attitude (Adam Roberts & T. C. Carnage) beat Heath Miller & Randall Johnson in 4:05. The jobbers used a double hiptoss and Carnage kicked out at one. Attitude got heat on Miller. Both men went down on a double clothesline, but Roberts was able to drag Miller back to Attitude’s corner. When Johnson finally did manage to tag in, Attitude made short work of him. Roberts planted him with a spinebuster to set up the Attitude Adjustment.

(5) Tank & Iceberg beat Simon Sermon & D. L. Norris in 6:52. Tank and Iceberg got the best pure face pop thus far. Norris was the designated wily veteran for the evening. Tank and Iceberg played it for comedy. Tank gave Norris a strong style Garvin stomp. Iceberg followed with a quarter ton splash. Tank pinned Sermon with the chokebreaker. Postmatch, Tank put the hammer down on Sermon’s nuggets.

(6) Texas Treats (Don Juan & Chris Marval) beat Cru Jones & Ken Westbrooks in 4:33. Treats were greeted by a “welcome back” chant that they genuinely seemed to appreciate. There’s a nonchalant air about Treats that makes them a really fun tweener team. Jones is really looking buffed these days and his work was sharp. Treats got heat on Westbrooks. They used a very cool combo move. Westbrooks didn’t know whether he was coming or going. Belly to belly suplex and Jones cleaned house bigtime. Westbrooks had Marval set up for a belly to belly off the middle rope. Juan grabbed a leg to upend Westbrooks. Marval covered for the three count.

(7) Lost Boys (Azrael & Gabriel) beat Todd Sexton & Tony Mamaluke in 7:20. For technical wrestling, this match was several levels up from the rest of the show. Lost Boys went to their playbook of double teams for the head sandwich and the Time Warp. Off a blind tag, Mamaluke caught Gabriel with a dropkick and Sexton followed with a german suplex. Mamaluke hit his high angle back suplex. Gabriel countered Mamaluke’s tornado DDT with a suplex into the tree of woe. But Sexton was there to beat Gabriel down. Sexton hit an STO and Azrael broke up the pin. Gabriel hung Sexton out to dry and hit a senton backsplash at the 5 minute call. Sexton did a sweet counter into a crossface. Azrael made the ropes. Azrael hit his finisher on Sexton and Gabriel hit a back suplex on Mamaluke. But Sexton superkicked Gabriel and locked on the sharpshooter on Azrael. Gabriel hit the double stomp on Sexton to score the pinfall. Mamaluke impaled himself on the rail taking a bump off the apron that was wicked stiff. They did a postmatch show of respect. That is until Sexton spit in Gabriel’s face. Gabriel brawled with Sexton. Gabriel exited in the opposite direction from Azrael.

(8) Urban Assault Squad beat Jeremy V & Nick Halen in 35 seconds. Referee Ryan Michaels caught V with the brass knucks in his trunks and forced him to hand them over. UAS overwhelmed V and Halen. Jackson pinned Halen with a shoulder block-assisted DDT. Crowd popped huge for the finish.

(9) Mikal Adryan & Jeff Lewis (with Jeff G. Bailey) beat Onyx & Biohazard in 6:00. Considering who was involved, this was somewhat disappointing. Match was slower paced than most of the first round action. The crowd chanted “overrated” at Adryan and Lewis. Onyx wrestled in jeans. Onyx took over on Lewis and made a foot tag. Adryan snapped Biohazard’s neck off the top rope. Heel heat ensued. Adryan wasted Biohazard with a corner lariats and a suplex into the buckles. Bio came back with a reverse roll up into a german suplex. Double tags. Onyx squared off with his old adversary. Onyx planted Adryan with an Angry Man Slam and asked Bio if he wanted some. Finish saw Bio and Lewis each get clocked by their opponent’s partner. Lewis fell on top of Biohazard for the pin. It was a lame finish that didn’t generate much crowd response.

After a brief intermission, it was on to the second round of the tournament.

(10) Two of the Three Guys vs. Shaun Tempers ended as a double count out at 5:17. Bentley was on his cell phone with their weasel of a leader, Salvatore Rinauro throughout the match, leaving Delay to wrestle Tempers mano y mano. When the crowd chanted “Sal is a tool,” Bentley pouted and put his hand over the receiver. Delay resorted to a low blow. Tempers responded with a gutbuster into a gutwrench suplex. Tempers hit the Temperpedic for a near fall. Bentley pulled the ropes down to dump Tempers. Tempers was more than holding his own when the count reached ten.

(11) Alabama Attitude beat Tank & Iceberg 10:23. Tank had Carnage in the Anaconda Vise when Scottie Wrenn ran in and brained him. Carnage did a guillotine legdrop to pin Tank. No repeat champion this year. Iceberg pointed at the drawing of Benefactor on his pants and pointed towards the sky. Iceberg and Tank bowed out of the tournament with class.

Getz announced that the winners of the next two matches would join Attitude for a three-way dance in the finals. I guess Al made an unspoken decree that there would be no more count outs or draws.

(12) Texas Treats beat Lost Boys in 3:35.In a hot opening sequence, Azrael dropkicked Treats to the outside and Gabriel followed up with a pescado. Juan came back with a leg lariat and danced for the ladies. Azrael got stiff as hell with Juan. Azrael stood on Juan’s fingers and jumped up for a double stomp to the neck. Treats punished Azrael with a cool series of double teams. Lost Boys hit the Unholy Roller on Juan but Marval made the save. Finish saw Gabriel on the top ropes for the double stomp. Marval grabbed his leg. Gabriel shook Marval off but it messed up his timing. Juan surprised Azrael with a roll up for the three count.

Azrael was pissed. He threw this freaky set of knucks down on the mat and left. The lights went out. When the lights came on, Gabriel was wearing the knucks. Gabriel took them off. It’s tough to do a compelling break up scene when neither guy talks.

(13) Urban Assault Squad beat Adryan & Lewis (with Bailey) in 4:50. The crowd was off the heat-o-meter for this match. UAS have incorporated a lot of little things into their act that make the difference between so-so babyfaces and a top notch team. Apparently, Adryan and Lewis didn’t help their cause by winning with the fans by advancing to the second round, because the chant of “overrated” was even stronger. UAS teamed up on some turbocharged spears. Lewis bailed. Adryan nailed Nemesis from behind. The heels gave Nemesis a double backbreaker. Try as he might, Adryan couldn’t keep his shoulders nailed down for the three. The crowd urged Nemesis on with a “kill the crackers” chant. A collision spot set up the hot tag. Jackson gave Adryan a clothesline over the top but walked into Lewis’ lariat. Lewis went for the Final Curtain but Jackson countered with a schoolboy for the win. The crowd exploded for the finish which was very well done. The crowd rubbed the loss in Lewis and Adryan’s face with another chant of “overrated.”

(14) Brandon P beat Scottie Wrenn in 9:10. A strange video played on the big screen on the previous show and an unknown voice challenged P to this match. Wrenn came out with a Tazz-like towel head gear. The crowd chanted “tick, tick.” Wrenn was hearing voices. Wrenn was quite convincing. He kept repeating the words “I know.” P had things going his way until Wrenn powerbombed his ass at 3:20. P came back with the rear naked choke spot from the Hughes/Trigg UFC match. Wrenn cut him off with a back suplex. P rallied. Wrenn leveled P with a pair of clothelines and was getting ready to squash him good when Iceberg came out to distract referee Jack Doan. Tank hit the ring with a chokebreaker on Wrenn and ran back out the front door. P pinned Wrenn with a missile dropkick. Wrenn’s psychotic episode continued in the postmatch. He was talking to thin air. “I did what you said.” Wrenn beat up the ring bell while ring announcer Nigel Sherrod cowered.

(15) Urban Assault Squad beat Texas Treats and Alabama Attitude to win the tournament in 15:07. Damn, the feud between UAS and Attitude his hot. You would have thought they were using piano wire. UAS opened with tandem double clotheslines. Jackson gave Nemesis a high backdrop over the top onto Treats and Attitude. Treats and Attitude made like the Four Musketeers and took turns beating on Jackson. Treats gave Jackson a double hiptoss. Juan did his lewd and disgusting dancing in slow motion. Jackson nailed Juan on the comeback. The one for all thing fell apart, as Carnage tagged in to steal the pin. Tank, Iceberg and Tempers came out to ringside to cheer for UAS. Attitude kept the heat on Jackson. Roberts hit a top rope elbow and Nemesis made the save. Jackson found himself in the wrong corner and used the ropes to pull himself over to Nemesis, but Roberts cut him off. Jackson took a nose dive onto his head on a double flapjack. Jackson powerbombed Roberts to get to the hot tag. Nemesis was on fire until Carnage dropped him on his head. Attitude hit the Attitude Adjustment but Nemesis kicked out at the last split second. Jackson surprised Carnage with a roll up for a great false finish. Jackson spiked Roberts with the assisted DDT to score the pinfall.

Tank and Iceberg made the trophy presentation to UAS. Tank said that Mysterious Benefactor was the first person that put them together as a team. Tank lead the crowd in a chant of “UAS.”

The UAS victory speech was interrupted by a vicious attack by Alabama Attitude. Attitude hung Jackson and Nemesis over the top rope. Nemesis started foaming at the mouth. Tank and Iceberg made the save. Attitude escaped out the front door. Nemesis was gagging. Getz sprinted to the back in a panic. The show closed with fans stunned into silent concern for the well being of their beloved UAS.

NOTES: Milano Collection A. T. (trained by Ultimo Dragon) will debut on the 9/3 show as part of Rudy Boy Gonzalez’s Texas Wrestling Academy crew… The lineup for that show also includes Adryan defending the Heavyweight title against Brandon P, Onyx vs. Scottie Wrenn, Alabama Attitude vs. Tank & Iceberg in a non-title match, Lewis defending the TV title against Jackson and Gabriel vs. Todd Sexton.

NWA GCW Results..8/20

Looking at tonight's event on paper, one can assume that the latest GCW card would be the weakest to date. Four new wrestlers debuted and two people teamed up who never teamed up. But as the night began, the event showed that it was much stronger than many have thought.

The event kicked off with Rick Richards welcoming everyone to the event. Richards, who was being the guest ring announcer for the 2nd week in the row, introduced round 2 contestants for the Voice contest. The contestants were Billy Roper and Sherry Grimes.

Billy Roper got the mic and got the action kicked off for the first match up for the evening. Originally the match was suppose to be the debuting Adam Armor against the returning Todd Sexton, but Sexton couldn't make it. So Armor's first opponent in his GCW wrestling career, was the Loverboy Lee Thomas.

Starting off the match, Armor and Thomas was switching moves back and forth as they engaged in battle. The match went back and forth and in the end it looked like Armor was going to get the victory, but he ended up missing the high risk move. The Loverboy capitalized and locked on a painful armbar submission move. Armor gave up, while the Loverboy screamed. Winner of the match, Lee Thomas.

The next match up, was introduced by the other Voice contestant Sherry Grimes. This match pitted the popular Adam Jacobs against another debuting wrestler, the son of Terry Bam Bam Gordy, Ray Gordy. These two young wrestlers showed the GCW arena why they are two rising stars in the business. This match went back and forth with both men getting a lot of near falls, but in the end it was a simple roll up that won the match for Adam Jacobs.

The third match up of the evening was the debut match for Sean Logan who had a tall task ahead of him as he faced the popular AJ Steele, who has been wrestling singles after being part of one of the most dominant tag teams in GCW. AJ dominated early in the match, but eventually Logan was able to turn the tables. Eventually Logan was able to daze Steele long enough to climb to the top rope. He hit the cross body block, but AJ reversed it and got the 1, 2, 3.

The first tag team match of the night pitted former GCW tag team champions John Bogie and Lee Thomas against the newly formed team of Damien Steele and Cassidy Riley. Thomas and Bogie was dominating the match early, until Steele and Riley was able to turn the match around in their favor. Then they began working on Bogie's leg. They stomped, half crabbed, kicked and everything else they could think of to Bogie's leg. But Bogie was able to make the hot tag to Thomas and brawl ensued. Damien was thrown out, then Lee and Riley superkicked Bogie. As Riley checked on Steele, the Loverboy come back into the ring and rolled up up Riley for the win.

After the match, Damien and Cassidy got into a shoving match. Riley nails Steele in the face with the superkick and leaves. After getting up, Steele rushed back to the dressing room with a very angry look on his face.

The next match of the evening pitted a former GCW Heavyweight, US Junior heavyweight and TV champion Jason Cross against another wrestler making his GCW debut Lance Christian. Jason seems to be losing his popularity with the GCW fans as chants of Jason Sucks filled the arena and it can be seen that Cross underestimated Lance. Except for falling for the old handshake trick, Lance held his own against the GCW superstar. Jason got the win after blocking a sunset flip and sitting down on Lance's chest and hooking his legs.

The main event of the night had 3 current title holders, 2 former NWA tag team champions, and lots of bad blood. Last week in the cage, Erik Watts was finally able to wrest the title away from David Young. This week the current GCW tag team champions, Young, a former NWA tag team champion, and Chris Stevens, was looking to get a measure of payback. Erik Watts' partner was GCW promoter and former NWA tag team champion Jerry Oates.

Oates and Watts dominated early working on the arms of both Bad Company members. In fact Jerry and Erik was making easy work of Bad Company. Every time Bad Company would make a move, Watts and Oates would reverse it. Until the moment David Young hits Jerry Oates from behind after Oates was whipped into the ropes. Then Bad Company began working on Jerry's arm. Stevens was telling the crowd that they were going to break Jerry's arm. After many minutes of working on Jerry's arm, Jerry was finally able to get the tag into watts. The champ cleaned house, and soon all four men were fighting. As Jerry was busy with Stevens, Greg Brown took off his boot and went to hit Watts, who was being held by Young. But Watts moved out of the way, Brown hit Young, Watts got rid of Brown and covered Young for the 1, 2, 3.

Returning next week is Jeff Lewis with Miss Jennifer, Sonny Siaki, Elix Skipper and Disco Inferno. Another second round voice contest will happen.

The following is from
NWA NJ/NY Promoter Fred Rubenstein.

NWA NJ/NY Promoter Fred Richards announced today that he is
terminating his affiliate agreement with World Alliance of Wrestling
and promoter Torri Hughes.

WAW, which received the affiliate membership back in February, has had numerous internal issues and cancelled all events through 2005. Mr. Richards, who was willing to work with the fledgling promotion through its difficult period, chose to finally pull away from them only within the last few weeks.

The main reason Fred Richards chose to pull out could be directly
related to WAW announcing that Jasmin St. Claire had become co-owner of the company. It is believed that there are major concerns over Jasmin as it pertains to her handling of 3PW and of her behavior outside of wrestling, which allegedly did affect 3PW operations directly.

A NWA Official, speaking on the condition he remains anonymous, stated that many people inside the NWA expressed great concern over Jasmin St. Claire having even the affiliate membership, believing that many of her alleged activities outside of wrestling would be detrimental to the image of the National Wrestling Alliance.

"She admitted to missing a 3PW show due to being arrested for making a prank phone call", stated the NWA Official, "Her behavior is not what the NWA wants as a member promoter. The NWA expects a degree of professionalism and we have grave concerns Ms. St. Claire can not meet the level of professionalism that The NWA expects from its members."

Fred Richards had this to say about the situation.

The National Wrestling Alliance runs a clean house in
New Jersey and New York. We have been built and maintained strong safeguards against quacks and charlatans. We guard against people who rip off the public and live in fantasyland. At this very moment, we are in serious talks with individuals who are ready, willing and able to bring the fans the NWA product of the future. The Capitol Beltway will soon see the type of wrestling that graced fine NWA arenas like the Capitol and Uline Arenas. Great former promoters of NWA wrestling like Harry Smythe and Vince, Sr. will look down with approval. Stay tuned!

It is obvious that there will be more to this story in the upcoming weeks.

SHOW NEWS & NOTES
The  build-up for the PWX 11th Anniversary show began in earnest on Saturday August 20th, as the promotion was finally less than one month out from the big event on September 17th.  The
Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania area has had a very dry Summer, and on Saturday evening the area was pounded with severe thunderstorms which were very destructive.  A great crowd came out however to see a very solid night of wrestling action at the Sportatorium in McKeesport
The show started off with Benjamin C. Steele and Devil Bhudakahn in the ring.  Steele said that he wanted to see Nikita Allanov injured so bad that he paid Bhudakahn five figures to break a part of his body, which ended up being the arm.  Bhudakahn then grabbed the mic and said that Allanov might want revenge, but it wasn't personal, it was all about the money.  Now however, it is personal, and Bhudakahn said he was going to break Allanov's neck.  Allanov, still wearing a brace on his right arm, charged the ring and Devil caught him, but Allanov quickly reversed and nailed Bhudakahn with a Russian Sickle.
Rather than go for the pin however, Allanov went after Bhudakahn's
mask.  Bhudakahn tried to get the hell out of dodge, but Allanov
stayed on him.  Allanov went for a Red Scare, but Bhudakahn countered it into an armbreaker and then went after Allanov's arm, removing his protective padding.  Bhudakahn continued to work over Allanov's arm, and eventually got a chair, and was attempting to re-break the wrist.
This brought out Daron Smythe, who pulled off Bhudakahn's mask, which allowed Allanov to roll him up for the pinfall.  Afterwards, Steele said he was done with Smythe for good, and that he had someone to take care of him later on.
Chris Taylor came to the ring for an interview, and said that he
didn't care about anything except being the PWX Heavyweight Champion, and that he demanded a match with Scottie Gash, so he could show he deserved to be the champion.  This brought out Gash, who went right after
Taylor
, which led to a wild brawl.  The lockerroom emptied and both men were pulled apart.
Scott Venom came out for his Brass Knuckles Title match against Quinn Magnum.  Venom said that he hoped that Magnum hadn't changed into his wrestling gear, because he was making the stipulation for his match tonight that he could only wrestle against Dan Miles.  Miles hit the ring to a good reaction for his first singles match in PWX.  Venom was in trouble early, and Miles showed off some impressive moves in this match.  Venom hit a hanging vertical suplex on Miles that seemed to last forever, and then went for his DDT, but Miles wouldn't stay down.  Dash Bennett hit the ring and nailed Miles from behind, which allowed Venom to roll him up for the cheap win.  This brought Quinn Magnum down to the ring to clear house.  Magnum got the mic and said he had just about enough of Venom, which brought Boomer Payne down to the ring.  Payne had a street sign with him, and he climbed into the ring with Venom and Magnum.  Venom told Payne to lay Magnum out, but
instead Payne handed the sign to Magnum, and left the ring.  Venom was livid, but not for long, as Magnum leveled him with a sign shot and left him laying in the ring.
The Tri Chi Fraternity got another solid win, defeated the team of
Sonny Landel and Dookie, who compete regularly in the
Carolinas
.
Landel did some damage early, wearing Hammer down, but Dookie made some big rookie mistakes, and the Tri Chi's took advantage.  Landel got the tag back in however and things started to break down, with Trish getting involved on the outside.  The Tri Chi's dumped Landel as Dookie went after Trish, but Trish ran back in the ring and Hammer and Blitzz caught him with the double choke slam, and got the pin.  After the match Landel attacked Dookie, and nailed him with a Michinoku Driver.
Daron Smythe went head-to-head with BC Steele's newest client, "Big Stiff" Seth James in the next match.   Smythe looked impressive in his return to action, and looks to be in great shape.  James looked impressive as well, and has the size to do some damage in PWX in due time.  This was a great back and forth wrestling match, with James trying top overpower Smythe, who was using some beautiful holds and counterholds. Smythe was fighting both James and Steele on the outside, but managed to stay a step ahead.  Smythe nailed James with a urinage suplex, and went up top, but Tag Team Champions Da Munchies hit the ring and pushed Smythe off the top rope.  James hit Smythe
with a suplex and got the pinfall.  After the match the James, Dick
Trimmins and Abdul Hassan laid the boots into Smythe, as Steele
announced that with the defection of Krystal Frost, he was now the
manager of Da Munchies, and the Steele Workers were stronger than ever.  Bigg hit the ring to make the save on Smythe, and Da Munchies bailed out, but James stood toe-to-toe with Bigg and didn't back down as the two jawed back and forth.  James then backed out of the ring, showing no fear of Bigg.
Boomer Payne came to the ring next, and said he had a special announcement to make.  Payne said that he was unpredictable, but that one thing was for sure - Scott Venom pit him in the evening's main event for the PWX title.  Boomer said that he wasn't deserving of this spot, since he didn't wrestle in PWX fulltime, so he got the OK from Championship committee member Quinn Magnum and Damien Stockholm, and he was giving his spot in the fatal-four-way to Brandon K.  The crowd popped for that announcement, but Venom stormed the ring and said that he couldn't do that.  Boomer said he could, so Venom called Dash
Bennett to the ring, who had Boomer's gymbag with him, and told Boomer to get the hell out of his building.  Payne then promised a big surprise for Venom in two weeks, but Venom said he doubted it would happen, because Payne wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the building.
Chris Taylor beat Bigg in another big win for "Mr. 21st Century".
Bigg has about 125 lbs on
Taylor
, and was doing his best to use his size advantage, but Taylor has mastered the Diamondcutter, and was trying to apply the move at every possible moment.  Taylor went right after Bigg's leg, a well known weakness, and kept the big man down, and pounded on his knee, trying to make the "Stab Master Arsonist" submit, which wasn't going to happen.  Taylor made the mistake of going for a cross body, and Bigg countered it into a beautiful standup spinebuster, and Bigg was again in control.  Bigg went nailed Taylor with a frog splash, but wasn't able to make the cover in time, and Taylor kicked out.  Bigg was setting up for the pump handle when Seth James made his way to ringside, but didn't get involved.  Bigg pausedand stared down James, and then Put Taylor up for the Pump Handle Slam, but Taylor countered it into a Diamondcutter and got the pinfall
to win the match.
The crowd was really hot for the Tag Team Title match which saw Da Munchies take on Super Duper Cool Dudes Eric Extasy, the current Three Rivers Champion, and Justin Idol.  Krystal Frost was at ringside with Extasy, and BC Steele was out with Da Munchies.  Idol and Extasy went after both Munchies early, but they bailed.  They brought Trimmin's back in the hard way, but Sheiky stayed on the outside.  Sheiky eventually got the tag in, and as Trimmins went to leave the ring, Idol kicked the middle rope and caught Trimmins with a shot to the groin.  Trimmins was in pain, and Extasy started jumping on the middle rope, making things worse for Trimmins.  Steele tried to pull down on the rope to relieve pressure, but Idol kicked Steele's hands, which caused him to let go and crotch Trimmins again.  Trimmins was in bad shape and the SDCDs took advantage, working him over.  This was an
excellent back and forth match, which saw the  fans get behind Frost cheering the SDCDs on at ringside.  Things really started to break down and referee Harold Potter was losing control with all four of the men in the ring.  Trimmins managed to dump Extasy to the outside, but Steele went after Frost, so she ran in the ring.  Hassan had he backed into the corner, but Idol was right behind him, waiting for a superkick.  Hassan turned around and ducked, and Idol nailed Frost with eth kick.  Extasy went to check on Frost, and left Idol in the ring.  Hassan nailed Idol with a big lariat, and Trimmins followed with a Big Dick Splash to get the pinfall.  After the match Extasy checked on Idol, who wanted to know where Extasy was at when he got pinned.  Extasy tried to explain his side, but Idol didn't seem too happy.
Scottie Gash retained his PWX Heavyweight Title in what can old be considered a wild fatal-four-way.  Gash and Brandon K cleared the ring early, dumping Crusher Hansen and Devin Devine to the outside, but before Gash and K could go at it they were pulled form the ring and a brawl broke out on the floor.  K and Hansen went at it, as both of these men have been itching to go at it with each other for awhile,
and Devine went right after Gash, keeping his focus on the
championship.  Hansen got a table from other the ring and was trying to put K thru the table, with no success.  K then went after Devine in the ring, which put Gash on the floor with Hansen, and the two were going at it to the hilt.  Gash was on the apron and trying to get back in the ring, but Hansen caught him and Gash put Hansen thru the table on the floor with a Spotlight Drop, which got the crowd going insane.
Devine set K up back in the ring for an Aborted Fetus, but didn't get
the pinfall.  Devine continued to work K over, and set up for the
Memphis Neckbreaker, which K somehow countered into a Kaplack Crabhold.  Devine struggled trying to get to the ropes, but just before he reached the ropes Hansen somehow made it back in the ring and broke up the hold.  Hansen leveled K with a Crusher Slam, but Gash was back in and broke up the pinfall.  Hansen attempted a Crusher Slam on Gash, but Gash countered the hold and tried to turn it into a Crossface submission, but Hansen reversed him back up.  Gash slid down Hansen's back and hooked a Spotlight Drop, and nailed it to get the pinfall in the middle of the ring, to retain the title.  A very hot and solid main event match.  As referee Shawn Patrick raised Gash's arm, Chris Taylor hit the ring and attacked Gash, before Extasy and  Idol hit the ring to make the save.  Afterwards, Extasy said that he  was sincerely sorry for letting Idol down in the tag team match, but that he had a plan to make it up to him.  Extasy said that he had a title shot at the Heavyweight Championship still in his pocket, and he wanted to give it to Idol to use on September 3rd.  Idol accepted Extasy's gift, and all three Super Duper Cool Dudes celebrated after the match.
