All Star Wrestling review from the Brockton Rox
On Saturday night, June 25 I went to see the All Star Wrestling show that took place on after the Brockton Rox game in
I arrived to the Campbell Stadium during the first inning. When I arrived The Patriot, WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, and the wrestling clown “Dzionk” were signing autographs on the main level of the stadium. Walking around was the Brockton Kangaroo (weird mascot). All the wrestlers had photos to sell and took photos with the fans.
The meet and greet went on till about the fifth inning when the wrestlers headed for the locker room. There was one wrestling vendor that was selling a few items (masks, signed photos, pins).
At the bottom of the seventh over the load speaker the announcer said that fans could start to line-up at the far end of the stadium to get into the wrestling show. The ring was set up by the third base.
After the game (Brockton Rox lost) fans were able to enter the ring area. There were 2 rows of seats set up with standing room only on the lower field. Fans that lined-up early took took up the seats with others standing, sitting on the grass, and watching for the third base bleachers. There was some kind of upper class party going on in one of the halls of the Stadium, so of the party goers came out to watch the show.
The matches started with former WWE star Sal Sincere facing off with the wrestling clown “Dzionk”. Sincere belittled the crowd, blowing his whistle, and tried to pick a fight with a few of the Rox’s players. Dzionk had the crowd very much behind him. Dzionk sprayed silly string at Sincere, the ref, and the crowd. The match had a lot of the Doink “spots” which had the crowd seem to enjoy. Sincere got the win after using a bat and hooking the tights.
The second match saw Chris Blackheart pin some guy in a mask wearing a doctor’s jumpsuit.
Diamondback Jack defeated AJ Martino in a hard fought match. The match saw the use of the safe rail, knocking down of a Brockton Rox’s ticket taker, a tree, and a few hard slams on the field.
The main event saw WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan & the Patriot defeat the Masked Bronx Bombers (with a manger). The Bombers came out to
Over all it was a good show. It is always nice when wrestlers, like Sal Sincere and Jim Duggan, come to the area that they don’t get too much.
I just want to once again thank Wrestlingfigs for the tickets. It is a great site, one of the best wrestling site on there today, and it is great when they get the chance to do contest like this.
Thanks
