BRUNO SAMMARTINO REIGNS SUPREME IN ALLENTOWN, PA

More then 150 fans lined the hallways of the Allentown Merchant Square today to visit with the Living Legend Bruno Sammartino. The occasion, the grand reopening of Bud Carson's Pro Wrestling World that now calls the second floor at Merchants Square it's new home.
We got to Buds at 11 am a few hours early of the signing which was to take place at 1 pm. I just had to see Buds new layout and of course all of the Vintage goodies that Bud has to sell. I Did a little shopping chatted a bunch with Bud and Chad and to my surprise we had a visitor in Chris Cruise of WCW fame. He even came out to see Bruno again. Bruno arrived a few minutes before the 1pm signing time and was greeted by many fans who were there. Bud gave a nice speech and unveiled a very nice wooden standee that Bud created in Brunos likeness that was awesome. Bruno was very touched and greeted the crowd with a few words. After the greeting Bruno sat down and it was signing time. VIPS went first and since we had VIP number one we were first to go. Bruno greeted us with a warm smile and remembered us. Bruno was very accommodating asking us how we wanted our MANY items signed, where, what color sharpies he was awesome. Bruno shared with us little tidbits about different wrestlers as I handed him magazines to sign. Interesting note, Bruno was the one who told Vince SR about Cowboy Bobby Duncum and was instrumental in getting him to NY. I never knew that. After Bruno signed all of our items we took a photo with Bruno and held a replica of the first WWWF title which looks wonderful in the photo opt. After the photo opt we thanked Bruno and headed back over to the store area to say our goodbyes to Bud. What a great time we had today visiting with the Living Legend Bruno Sammartino.
A few parting thoughts - The signing was very well organized. Bud and staff are to be commended on running a smooth signing. VIP got there autos first then everyone else. VIP package was $45.00 which included a boatload of Bruno items including a free Buffet voucher for the down stairs restaurant. Each individual item was $10.00 per signature. Bud really gave back to the fans here. This was a very affordable signing with a true Legend Bruno Sammartino.
A few thank you's - Can't thank Bud enough for bringing out my favorite Wrestler and Hero Bruno Sammartino and showing me and Taylor so much kindness today, Bud Thank You! Georgie, a thank you to you also for helping make this appearance possible. All your hard work is truly appreciated. Gotta thank the Living Legend himself Bruno Sammartino for being so generous and making this day extra special for us. Bruno you are the GREATEST!
