…..

Buff Bagwell made a surprise Appearance on the September 20th edition of The Shoot, his first since appearing on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel. He called in at the 32 minute mark with Alabama Wrestling Federation owner Dwaine Henderson. Buff started off by saying he's been doing great on the Independent Circuit and believes at 37 he still has one more run left in him for either WWE or TNA. Host Gary Cantrell asked him about the HBO appearance and how it came about, Buff stated that it came out of nowhere and that he thought they did a very good job on it and it came across very professional.

Buff was then asked about his thoughts on the current issues going on in Pro Wrestling as it relates to drugs and testing and so forth. He offers some insight on WCW's testing. "My first steroid test at WCW was in 1991" said Bagwell. "Down to the very end, they had 7 people that were randomly picked for testing, even at the very end in 2001 at the very last Nitro". He then said the reason why it was only 7 was because it was very expensive to have steroid testing. He said the WCW policy stated: 1st time was a warning, 2nd time was $5,000 fine, and 3rd time was termination. "That was the policy that we all signed. Everybody that had a contract at WCW had that in their contract, everybody" said Bagwell.

He then begins talking about Chris Benoit. "I ain't marking out the possibility that they both were murdered" said Bagwell. He then goes over other scenarios that could have happened and said that steroids had nothing to do with it. He was then asked about how long he knew/worked with Benoit. He said he knew him for 11 years and probably wrestled over 50 matches with him. When asked if he would ever suspect Benoit to ever do anything like that he said "If i had a million dollars in Las Vegas, i would have lost it on that one. I just didn't see that one coming and i don't think anyone did"

Co-Host Justin Bailey stepped in and asked Buff about the pain killers he's on and what would happen if offered a contract by either WWE or TNA. "You can't take prescription drugs away from people, that starts going into human rights" said Bagwell. "If their policy stated quit prescription drugs, absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt wouldn't be a problem" He was then asked if he's been contacted by either companies and said that he remains in good contact with Terry Taylor (of TNA). He said he didn't understand why he isn't on TV right now.

He was then asked if he follows the current products of both TNA and WWE. He says he tries to follow it and finds it tough. He referred to the X-Divison matches as "Flip Flop Flying Matches" that nobody knows. "It's hard to put a great show on in 1 hour." He said that he was intrigued by the signing of Adam "Pacman" Jones, and said that he didn't understand why they hired him after finding out that he couldn't take any physical contact. Then on to WWE, he said he didn't even know some of their stars names and cited it was because of bad booking. "You put nobody against nobody and it equals nobody" said Bagwell.

The interview came to a close as he plugged the Alabama Wrestling Federation as he will be wrestling there this Saturday 9/22. The interview runs about 30 minutes as Buff also gives his thoughts on HHH, John Cena, and much more. The interview can be found at
