Yesterday was a busy day for my 3 year old son and I as we braved the weather to travel to two events. First we headed down the Route 1 corridor to Langhorne PA and George's Collectibles Oxford Valley Mall store for the Celeste Bonin (Kaitlyn) signing event. The store was larger than I thought and the crowd was too but staff kept the lines moving and so the wait was not that bad.
Big thanks to George and his staff who did a fine job as well as Rob Feinstein from RF Video who served as designated photographer for the day! Kaitlyn was a real sweet heart and there were a lot of families with kids and she really took time to connect with the little fans. I got my Divas belt and an action figure signed and photo of her and my son and then the three of us.
George's will be having more signings in the future so keep checking wrestlingfigs.com for updates. Kaitlyn will also be appearing at Chiller and Legends of the Ring so if you missed this event you still have an opportunity to meet this lovely former WWE Diva.
After a pit stop home it was time to head north this time to the IZOD Center for Monster Jam. Some of you may be wondering what does that have to do with a wrestling site but Madusa was one of the trucks appearing.
You may remember this truck's driver as AWA Women's champion Madusa Micelli, WWF Women's champion Alundra Blayze or WCW Cruiserweight champion and the famous WCW Monday Nitro where she famously threw the WWF Women's Championship in the trash.
The show was fun and those fans that braved the elements were treated to some exciting car crushing action. Madusa did well even though she did not win any of the individual competitions. The best part of the evening though was after the show they hold an autograph session with all the drivers so I was able to get my picture with Madusa which I will be getting signed at Legends of the Ring Fanfest since she is part of the Super Ticket!
I was truly surprised that many fans did not take advantage of the post show autograph session as this show did not feature the pre-show Pit Party meet and greet. The line moved extremely well for the signing and all the drivers were very courteous and appreciative of the fans.
