Three time WWE tag-title holder Charlie Haas added to Ballpark Brawl™ V August 13th

Mick Foley appearence, Sabu vs. The Sandman and “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin highlight the day

Buffalo, NY (7/27/05) – The Ballpark Brawl Executive Team is pleased to announce that the supercard for Saturday, August 13^th has been finalized. Ballpark Brawl V “BANG! BANG! Have a nice day!” will feature eight matches involving the top independent wrestlers across North America plus a special appearance by Mick Foley and a few surprises.  The show will take place at Dunn Tire Park in Buffalo, NY after the Buffalo Bisons vs. Ottawa Lynx baseball game. Reserved seats are only $12 and a limited number of field seats are $25. All tickets include the baseball game and wrestling show. For ticket information go to www.ballparkbrawl.com.

Just added this week is three time WWE tag-title holder Charlie Haas. Hailing from Texas, Charlie was a state high school champion. After receiving a full ride to Seton Hall University, he became an All-American and a two time Big East Champion. Haas trained with Iron Mike Sharpe and turned professional in 1996.

After winning several tag titles with his brother Russ he was recruited by the World Wrestling Entertainment and debuted as part of Team Angle in December of 2002. During his tenure with the WWE Hass won the WWE Tag-Titles three times with Shelton Benjamin and Rico as his partners. Recently, Haas married Tough Enough II winner and diva Jackie Gayda (Miss Jackie). After returning from their honeymoon the pair was released by the WWE.

“I can not wait for this show. I have a lot to say, a lot of pent up frustration but more importantly I have a lot to do. The sign on the marquee says wrestling and that is what I plan on doing in Buffalo and I don’t have to have a script to do that. Just give me a ring and an opponent, I’ll do the rest,” said Mr. Haas.  His opponent for the show has not been set and looks to be determined at the show.

Also added to the show is an extreme match-up featuring the return to Western New York of Sabu! Last August, Sabu faced AJ Styles & Teddy Hart in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. The explosive match took its toll on Sabu and many feared that that show may have been his last. However, Sabu is back and ready for revenge. He will face one of the few men as extreme as he is…The Sandman. Making a rare Western New York appearance The Sandman, as well as Sabu, recently appeared on the WWE “ECW One Night Stand” pay-per-view. Anything can happen and probably will when you add Sabu, The Sandman and Mick Foley!

The NATURAL Heavyweight title will be defended by “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels who defeated AJ Styles by submission and pin fall last month. He will face the winner of last July’s 6-man “Futures” match – Chris Sabin. The champ has been very vocal in his early title reign. He has sent the belt to be adjusted to his specifications. He claimed the belt was too silver and needed more gold to match his growing list of gold. He also asked for the dent to be removed from where AJ Styles used the belt on Daniels after his July match. All this distraction over the look of the belt gives the appearance that he is not taking the challenge of “The Future” Chris Sabin seriously. Since the belt has yet to see a successful defense that may not be a wise idea.

“The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart- Jimmy always has something up his sleeve. One thing for sure he has some legendary contacts that just may make his night and every fan’s very interesting!

Field of Screams “Strap Match”

Abyss w/ Mike Rosario vs. Slyck Wagner Brown
- The Slyck Wagner Brown situation has become increasingly interesting. If Slyck wins he gets Abyss’s mask but what does Abyss get if he wins? The rules of the match are simple…both participants will have leather straps attached to their wrists. The winner is the person who can touch all four turnbuckles in succession. What is not so simple are the side stories to this match. Will April Hunter still be with Slyck after he cowardly fed her to the Black Hole Slam to help his escape in July? Or does she have some revenge on her mind? How will Mike Rosario control the monster known as Abyss if he should lose? Will Abyss take his mask off in the ring if he goes under?

The First Ever Ballpark Brawl Women’s Battle Royal

Miss Jackie vs. Traci vs. April Hunter vs. Jaime D vs. a mystery opponent
- The Women’s Battle Royal is starting to shape up as former Tough Enough II winner and WWE diva Miss Jackie has been added. She will face Ballpark Brawl regular and TNA “Knockout” Traci who will be looking for her first BPB victory. The ever controversial April Hunter will be back looking for payback after her loss last July to Ariel. Jaime D is from Border City Wrestling and won the TNA Gut-check Challenge. The final competitor is fresh from a tour of Japan and is anxious to show what she has learned!

Trent Acid vs. Sonjay Dutt
- After their successful victory over the Outcast Killaz in July the Backseat Men have been added to Ballpark Brawl “Rochester Rumble” on August 14th. In addition, Trent Acid has been added to BPB V in Buffalo to face one of the top high flyers today…Sonjay Dutt. What will happen when the Backseat Man faces the Original Playa from the Himalaya?

Shawn Spears & ? vs. Team Canada (Petey Williams, Eric Young or Bobby Roode)
- After getting screwed out of his chance to compete for the NATURAL Heavyweight title by Petey Williams & Scott D’Amore, Shawn Spears has openly challenged Team Canada. A challenge that was quickly accepted by Team Captain Petey Williams. However, they are claiming the “Freebirds Rule” where they will decide which of the three will face Spears. Who will partner with Spears? He only had this to say…”I promise revenge, I promise a Canadian and I promise a Canadian bent on revenge!”

6-man “Futures” Match

Matt Striker vs. John McChesney vs. Damien Alexander vs. Glen Spectre vs.“Spyder” Nate Webb vs. a mystery competitor
- The 6-man Scramble is shaping up to highlight some of the top up-and –coming talent in wrestling. The much talked about Matt Striker will return to Buffalo. He has made it very clear that everyone will be seeing the real Matt Striker. The man who came within 1 second of defeating Kurt Angle for his Olympic Gold Medals, the man who is on the top of the WWE radar screen, the man who is focused on getting a title shot. The man - Matt Striker. After his strong performance against Johnny Devine in July, John McChesney has been added. McChesney was supposed to be in the first six-man but Team Canada had different plans. The local scene heats up as the NWA Upstate Heavyweight Champion, Glen Spectre, will be in the match as well as the Empire State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Damien Alexander. If they happen to be in the ring together this will be the first time ever that these two federations went head to head. Rounding out the announced group will be one of the most unique talents in wrestling today as “Spyder” Nate Webb will make his Buffalo debut. At 6’2” 185 he will be the tallest and most unique entrants…or will he? There is still another participant who will not be named until the day of the show!
