Massapequa News has some nice photo's of the event

The quest of meeting the talent of World Wrestling Entertainment continued again today as Massapequa's New York Sports Works hosted WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus & the Master Piece, Chris Masters.  Both of them were in the neighborhood early, ready to do business, as combat awaits them later tonight at the Nassau Coliseum.

When they arrived at the site locale, the crowd popped big for both stars.  Trish approached a young lady in a wheelchair who she apparently knew, and had a brief moment with her, while the Master Piece just scanned the throngs waiting to be awed by his physique.  I have to be honest, and this is embarassing to say, my wife was awe struck by how good Chris Masters looked, and how BIG he is.  He is a big boy, ladies and gentlemen, not one you would want to get in to a scrap with.

Unfortunately, the champ did not bring the bling, which is always a bummer, but she certainly brought the million dollar smile as she had a brief moment with each of my boys while signing the photo for me.  I was lucky enough to get out a "nice to meet you" statement to the lovely Ms. Stratus without stammering like a whimpering dog as I did in the past with Jackie Gayda.  Alas, the good fortune was short lived, not on the part of the WWE Superstars, as Masters spoke with each of my kids, asking who he should write the autograph out to.

Being a veteran of these signings, having close to 30 superstars on my wall, not many of them are personalized, as a matter of fact, only 5 are.  So,  I got caught very quickly off guard by the young superstar, wanting to take the time to make the moment more personable to his fans.  I finally stammered to make the autograph out to me, which he did, shook my hand, and we were off.

I have to admit, when the Master Piece broke in to Raw, I didn't like his character.  He seemed brash, arrogant, and almost too cocky for his own good, somethings that I feared may penetrate the real life experience of something like an autograph signing surrounding.  However, I could not have been further from the truth.  Chris Masters was a gentleman, a professional, and a treat for me to be able to say I met the man who has not had a single superstar break out of his finishing hold.

The Women's Champion, what can I say?  I may have questioned some of the maneuvering in the women's division, but Trish is, by far and away, the marquee.  I am not a small man, and I would really seriously believe Trish could kick my butt from here to Glasgow, Scotland and back, and in the process, not break the least amount of a sweat doing it.  She smiled, took the time to acknowledge my kids, and was a gentle presence toward me as well.  As I have said numerous times before in attending these signings, I can only imagine the crush of people that the superstars of WWE endure day in day out in these experiences, and to remain as professional and as courteous as they do is a testament to their abilties and their respective personalities.

In closing, a thank you goes out to the boys at New York Sports Works, once again, for all their help and consideration toward me and my family.  Be sure to check out their website at http://www.newyorksportsworksinc.com/ for more information on next month's signing, featuring current World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, and perhaps the scariest man on the WWE roster, the Boogeyman.
