Thanks to Roland for this report & photos.
I attended the Fozzy "Sin And Bones" album signing at J&R Music World in Manhattan today. It was one of the better signings I have attended.
I took the train into NYC and made the short walk from the WTC site to the store. I was surprised that there were not more people on line but relieved as well since that meant I would not have to wait as long. I went inside and was directed to the second floor to purchase my CD. Once I got my CD I went back outside and found my place on line. I had arrived later than I wanted to around 5 PM and the signing was scheduled from 6 PM to 8 PM. Soon a manger came out and told us that they would soon be letting us in and gave us the ground rules.
First since this was a J&R Music World album signing we'd need to buy a CD and we would be allowed one other memorabilia item to be signed. He said photos would be allowed while we were online but not at the table. That upset me as I wanted to get my photo with "The Lion Tamer".
As promised soon we were allowed inside and I was again surprised to see Chris Jericho and the rest of the band members all standing on the podium posing for the assembled media photographers that were on hand. I give props to both J&R Music World and Fozzy for doing the absolute unheard of and starting the signing a half hour EARLY!
The line moved quickly and soon I was shaking hands with Paul DiLeo and Billy Grey. They both were very personable and took time with each fan. Frank Fontsere was next and he mugged for the camera for me before signing my CD cover and insert. By the time I got up to Rich Ward I was super excited since I knew Chris Jericho was next. "Y2J" asked everyone their name and signed everything people were putting in front of him. I had my Best Of The WWE magazine and my CD cover and CD insert ready. I had asked the gentleman in line behind me to take a photo for me when I got up to "The Ayatollah of Rock n' Rolla" but he did one better and captured "The Best In The World At What He Does" and me while he was signing my items and then got a quick posed pic.
The line did not seem to be that big behind me. People need to be checking the Wrestlingfigs website regularly to get information on where these signings are taking place. I have attached photos to this report.
