Hillbilly introduces Christian Cage via phone: http://tinyurl.com/2gpbaz , says he's been bragging about him & remembers him when he 1st came in, he had that star quality written on him. He says lots of guys come with lots of potential but don't seem to fullfill it, says Christian's taken off & his career's been magical. Christian says thanks & it means a lot coming for someone like Hillbilly, says he grew up watching him when he wrestled & says to hear Hillbilly say those things he really appreciates it. He says he remembers breaking in on WWE [then WWF] early in his career, he & Hillbilly had an appearance together & gave Christian some pointers & advice & says he kept that closely to him.

Hillbilly says it's his pleasure & it always does something good to see young guys come in for the business & knew at the very beginning that Christian had it. He asks
Christian to bring everyone up to date about some of his early days, says he knows he's a Canadian boy who wrestled in Canada a lot in WWF & says we were all over Canada that has great fans. He asked Christian as to what inspired him to get into wrestling, Christian says it's a long story & says that he was playing hockey when he was young & crashed head 1st into the boards. He says he broke his shoulder, says he couldn't have a cast on his arm so he had it in a sling.

Christian says he was stuck in his house for 8 weeks, didn't go outside, didn't play with his brothers, didn't go to school & had to do his schoolwork at home. He says during the weekends while his brothers were out playing & he was stuck in the house, he was flipping thru the channels & saw some wrestling. Hillbilly asked if that's when he got hooked, Christian says he was right away & says he didn't know what it was but was hooked. He says he'd watch it on a Buffalo, New York station that's outside Toronto, says the show was at Noon & at 1PM he flipped to a Canadian station & it was on again. He says his Saturdays was consumed with watching wrestling all day long & he was hooked.

Hillbilly says that's fabulous, says he always liked hearing about guys getting their starts & how they got interested in the business. He asks Christian if he's from
Kitchner, Christian says he was born there but grew up in Orangeville which's 45 minutes from Toronto. Hillbilly says we [WWF] did Maple Leaf all the time & he's
familiar with that area when they did the Canadian TV tapings. Christian asked if it was near Bradford, Ontario & Hillbilly says yes. He asks Christian when he 1st broke in if he ever got a chance to go to Calgary, Christian says but it wasn't till about a couple of years in his career. He says he trained in Toronto, wrestled in that area,
wrestled in Michigan & Western New York.

Christian says he went to the Eastern part of Canada like Nova Scotsia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Evert Island & other places. He says when he was 3 or 4 years in his career he went & spent some time training at Bret Hart's place in Calgary. He says before that he was wrestling in Winnipeg, Manitoba for a promoter named Tony Candelo, says he had a good time there & was there for a year or 2. He says he used to wrestle in Indian reservations in Northern Manitoba, says in the wintertime he'd drive across a frozen lake in vans & in the summertime you'd get there by a boat or a little prepeller plant.

Christian says those were fun adventures, says he didn't make much money but was having fun & it was a good time. Hillbilly says there's no such thing as an overnight
star in the business, says everyone has to pay their dues & knows Christian did. He says he's always mesmorized by how many folks came from Canada & how many great wrestlers there were. He says you can name some guys in Christian's class & mentions Edge, Val Venis & others. He says he remembers before that with great wrestlers like Dino Bravo, The Rougeau Brothers, The Harts & [Rick] Martel & says it goes on. He says there's some of the greatest wrestlers the business has ever had came from Canada.

Christian says the thing's that they were exposed to so much wrestling in Canada & mentions WWF on Saturdays, WCW on weekends, AWA on Wednesday afternoon & says he'd run home from school to watch it. He then mentions Calgary's Stampede which was Stu Hart's promotion on Monday afternoons, then on Sundays there was International Wrestling from Montreal with Dino Bravo, Bruiser Brody & others. He says Canada was exposed to many different styles & things & feels that's why wrestling's a strong influence there. Hillbilly says after the break they'll talk more about Christian's new world that he's in which's TNA, his WWE[F] days & the upcoming Slammiversary PPV that he'll be a part of.
Hillbilly says Christian lives in Florida & asks as to how does he like it there. Christian says he loves it, says he's been there for 6 years, says the weather's beautiful & says when he goes to Canada in the wintertime, it's brutal & has to get out of there because he can't take the cold anymore. Hillbilly says a few years ago he was in the Bahamas & at that time he thinks Edge & Val [Venis] lived there. He says both told him that they couldn't stand the cold weather either, says when they grew up in Canada you get them nice Canadian winters & when you get away from them it's hard to go back to them & Christian says he agrees.

Hillbilly again says he's known Christian says he began his WWF career, says he 1st came in as a tag team [with Edge], says some of the guys talked about when looking at Christian & tell that he had all the year marks of a young superstar coming off. He says he loved the way they [Christian & Edge] handled the mike & asked as to how influencial were interviews to him growing up. Christian says they were huge, says lots of people that excel are those as wrestling fans that have something
of the business that's in their blood before getting into it. He says he was a huge fan & was obsessed by wrestling growing up, says he paid attention to all aspects of guys that he really watched.

Christian says he started learning from an early age in the business while watching, says there's more than just being in the ring, but you have to be an overall package.
Hillbilly says you have to have charisma in & out of the ring, Christian says personality has to sell & people have to be attached to you 1 way or the other whether it's
personality. He says when they're attached to your personality & listen to the things that you're saying in your promos, then they really react to what you do in the ring.
He says fans care more of what you do in the ring as well as the character that they see in the ring, rather than just if you're walking down the aisle, getting in the ring & just wrestling & no 1 knows who you are.

Christian says it's really adding to your overall package, says it's important to do that & says he learned that from an early age by not being the biggest or fastest guy
in the world, but was gonna bring something extra to the table. Hillbilly says Christian did more than made up for it, says in '99 Christian was involved in 1 of the greatest matches that he's seen at the time. He says when Christian & Edge was against The Hardys at No Mercy & it was a ladder match & says people're still talking about that. Christian says Matt Hardy said it best by saying that it took us from being WWE wrestlers to being WWE superstars that put us in another level, put us on the map, sent us on our way & it kinda envolved from there.

Christian says it had to be the personalities, talking & it goes along with it after that. He says that was their huge break, took & ran with it & the rest's history. Hillbilly asks Christian to talk about his acting career & says people would love to know about it. Christian says moving from charisma to personality & other stuff, he really
enjoys doing backstage segments & vignettes & says from the talking side of it, he really enjoys doing that. He says he'd thought it'd be fun to branch out & try
something else, says he was fortunate enough to get a small role in a movie that's coming out in September called "Shoot 'Em Up" [under his real name Jason Reso] with Clive Owen, Monica Bellucci & Paul Giamatti [as well as Chris Jericho: http://tinyurl.com/2cadcy ].

Christian says that's 2 Oscar nominated actors in there, says he remembers the 1st day walked on the set & his 1st scene was with Owen & says that was a trip. He says it was a little nerve racking but fun & says once he got on there & did it, he was like "Man, I know I can do this". He says after that he had a chance to do a small budget indy film & had a big role in it & it's called "Dark Rising" that'll be out in DVD in the summer: http://tinyurl.com/2mzmoq . He says he had a big role in it, had lots of fun with it & the director let him play with the character. He says he did some ad libbing & things like that, says again it was fun & is looking forward to more of it.

Christian says he likes challenging himself, says that's a challenge for him & enjoys doing it. Hillbilly asks Christian if he's seen the TV show "Entourage":
www.hbo.com/entourage , Christian says that's his favorite show & Hillbilly asks if he can be part of Christian's entourage. He says Christian can use a cat like him, says he's a little bit of country & city, says he thinks Christian may make the Hollywood thing & he'd like to make them parties & see them nice girls ride them fancy cars & says obviously that's what Christian's gonna be doing. Christian says Hillbilly's like a hillbilly pimp, Hillbilly says he's talking his language by firing him up in Mud Lick, Kentucky.

Hillbilly says both should talk about TNA because it's got some of the greatest things going, mentions Slammiversary that'll happen this Sunday & asks as to what's his thoughts of the match that he'll be in. He says he's worried because Christian will be involved with some tough characters like Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe. Christian mentions AJ Styles, says it's got the best of the best, says he was in that match last year & was a champ going into the match & didn't get pinned or beat but still lost the title. He says that's the way it goes into the match & says it's really a reversed ladder match.

Christian says what happens in the King Of The Mountain is that you have to get a pin fall to be eligible to take the belt from ringside, come back in the ring, set the ladder, climb up the ladder & hang the belt on the hook that's above the ring. He again says it's the reverse rules of a ladder match, says there's other variables of whatever else comes into play either a weapon or object & also the other guys in the match. He says it'll be interesting with great dynamics with all the other different styles in there & says it'll be lots of fun. Hillbilly says this'll be a pay per view, plugs www.tnawrestling.com & says for those that have the benefit of flash photography, you can get a photo of Christian in the ring getting his hand raised & asks if we'll look forward to that.

Christian says yes, says his time in TNA so far's been great, says he's been there for a year & 1/2 now & it's a real company that's going forward. He says it started off small in Nashville, says that's why it's such a big deal coming back for the 5th anniversary where it all began. He says it'll give the fans something special, says they're going by leaps & bounds by the month & year, says they'll keep going forward, says good things are happening for TNA & fans & says it's an exciting time. Hillbilly says from 1 wrestler to another who's a little bit older than Christian, he's proud of him & glad to have known him. He hopes to keep running into him & appreciates from the bottom of his heart & all his fans do by being on his show.

Hillbilly says he extends his welcome to him, tells him he can come back anytime, says any of his TNA buddies that wanna come on & says he ain't thru with him yet. He says he'll more fun with him, says he ain't done & has more things to ask him. He says he'll play a tune now ["Young Blood"].
Hillbilly says welcome back to the spectacular Father's Day weekend special, says he's still got some great tunes for you & again says he's got Christian Cage on the
show. He ask Christian to talk about his highly & amazing successful WWF career & asked him as to what made him wanna change & come to TNA. Christian says it was a lot of different things, says he knows how it is when you're on the road for like 250 to 300 days a year. He says it was straight with no brake & was burnt out physically & mentally & just tired. He says at the time he felt that he didn't see anymore progression from where he was, says he felt it was time to step back & do other things & when he did, TNA presented itself & thought it was a great opportunity to step in.

Christian says TNA made him feel that he stepped in & was a factor right away, says that excited him & says that's what he decided to do. He says he always lived under the rule of "no risks, no rewards", says he saw it as an opportunity, says at the time TNA was starting to go on Spike TV & getting national coverage. He says when he started there they were on Saturday nights at 11PM, says they're now on Thursdays at 9PM & is sure that they'll be getting a 2nd hour in a little while. He says things are looking up, says it's exciting to be part of a company that's growing with a crop of young superstars that to him are the future of this industry.

Christian says they're growing up by leaps & bounds, says he's there to be part of it & watch it grow & thinks it rejunvinated his career. Hillbilly says Christian's a trailblazer because he took a big leap of faith there by leaving something where he already was comfortable & could've been a star there, but decided that he needed to grow a bit more. He says he understands about the road [schedule] & says he feels that the change of scenery has done him good. Christian agrees, says it's done wonders for him personally, says it's allowing him to do some acting & branching out to do other things & says he thanks them for that.

Christian says it's given him the opportunity to try other things & other projects, says it's exciting & it keeps him excited about wrestling & says he thinks it's a good fit for both he & TNA. Hillbilly tells fans to order Slammiversary via their PPV providers, says it's gonna be great, says it'll have the Steiners vs Team 3D & asks Christian of his impression of the Steiners & Christian says both are legendary teams that'll meet up. He says Scott Steiner had a little bit of an injury [neck surgery], says he don't know the situation with that & says it'll be interesting to see what happens. Hillbilly then mentions Mr. Backlund vs Alex Shelley.

Hillbilly then mentions Eric Young, then says Robert Roode vs Mrs. Brooks [NOTE FROM JEFF:It's actually Eric Young vs Robert Roode]. Anyhow he says Frank Wycheck vs James Storm, the King Of The Mountain match for the TNA title with Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles vs Christian & says there'll be 1 more cat involved. Christian says that's what he's heard, Hillbilly again plugs the TNA site as well as the PPV. He tells Christian to hold on because he'll be playing a few more tunes & then come back. He says he knows Christian has to get to the gym, eat them barbell plates, build them biceps & says Christian's looking more like Superstar Billy Graham. Christian says he does, when Graham was 13 years old & Hillbilly says he'll start this set off with a guy named Sunny Sweeney.
Hillbilly says he's all fired up because he's got Christian there, says again it's Father's Day weekend with Slammiversary coming up, says things are happening there & he's going besides himself. He tells Christian that he may need him to come & sit in for him for a week or 2 & asks him if he can handle that. Christian says he don't know if he can fill his shoes but will try, Hillbilly says it's been much fun having him on the show & tells fans if they tuned in late, they've missed a great 1.

Hillbilly says he & Christian were talking about Christian's career with WWF[E] & TNA wrestling, says Christian's a big superstar there & says he's getting bigger & better. He says Christian's involved in the top match at the PPV this Sunday, says you don't wanna miss it & says the King Of The Mountain match's gonna be something. He again tells fans to call their PPV's providers to get the PPV & again plugs the TNA site to see all the good things that's going on there. He says Christian's career has been magical, asks him as to how's his health & asks if he's holding up good. Christian says he feels great & better in the last couple of years.

Christian says in the last couple of months or so he did some boxing training to change things up a bit, says he does 3 or 4 days a week doing it & has been training
with a heavyweight fighter in Florida who's a pro. He says he's training 1 on 1 with the boxing fighter, says he's doing some different stuff, changing it up & says he feels great. Hillbilly asks him if he'd like to say anything to the fans that they'd like to know, Christian says he thinks there's thousands, then corrects himself & says there's millions listening & Hillbilly says there's billions of them. Christian says without a doubt he'll walk out of the King Of The Mountain match at the PPV as the champ.

Christian says that's the way it's gonna be & that's the way it is, Hillbilly says that's the scoop that he likes hearing, then says there's something that's on his mind that he wants to asks him. He says when Christian was a young feller coming up if he had a favorite wrestler that just did it for him. Christian says besides Hillbilly & Cousin
Luke, then says like every kid he liked Hulk Hogan & mentions when Hulk brought Hillbilly as his partner he was so excited about it. He says Hillbilly kept showing up in
the crowd, says fans were wondering as to who this big hillbilly was & says the next thing we know, he's Hulk's wrestling partner & says it's crazy.

Hillbilly says history was made, says thanks to Christian for coming on the show, again says anytime he wants to come back on he can & wishes him luck on the PPV. He says it'll be something else, hopes Christian will come out as the champ & has all the confidence in the world for him. He says he knows Angle, says Christian needs to watch him because Angle's got some flaws that he knows & says if anyone can find them, it'll be a good Canadian boy & it's Christian. Christian says he appreciates & thanks him & says it's been lots of fun, Hillbilly says he'll let Christian him go to go to his duties & says he'll now play a song for him. He says this is what Angle's gonna have to remember because he'll be "Flirtin' With Disaster".
