June 19^th aired a 1988 episode of Verne Gagne's AWA All-Star Wrestling from Nashville, Tennessee.

Terry Adonis & Beast versus Ricky Rice & Jon Paul of Top Guns.

Tops Guns ran to the ring to Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" as their theme song.

Paul charged down Beast, then arm dragged Beast to land a leg drop on his left arm. Paul held Beast for a tagged Rice middle rope flying fist to the ribs. Rice tried to hip toss Beast, but wasn¢t able to until after he placed his right leg over Beast¢s neck to back flip.

Both men tagged out, and Adonis was flung out of the corner with a high hip toss. Paul headlocked Adonis to the mat, and then kipped out of Adonis¢ head scissor. Paul rolled up Adonis for a count 1, as Adonis grabbed the bottom rope. A tagged Rice worked over Adonis with a headlock, then Paul tagged in to powerslam Adonis, and whip Adonis into a tagged Rice¢s high dropkick. Rice covered for the pin victory, and Michael St. John announced that the match time was three minutes and twenty-eight seconds.

Scott Steiner versus AWA international television champion "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin

Steiner body slammed Garvin, then a shoving match happened when Steiner backed Garvin to the ropes. Garvin slapped Steiner down, then delivered the Garvin stomp (series of stomps from face, arms and legs). Steiner was on the ring apron was Garvin slapped him, and tried to slam Steiner¢s head into the turnbuckle. Steiner stepped on the middle turnbuckle to block, then slammed Garvin¢s head to the top turnbuckle.

Steiner climbed to the top ropes, but missed with a flying cross body press. Garvin waited for Steiner to get and turn around, before blasting him down with a right fist. Garvin sat on Steiner¢s chest for the 3 count. Michael St. John announced that the match time was one minute and fifty-two seconds.

Kevin Collins versus "Claw Master" Baron Von Raschke

This was a replay match that aired June 5^th on ESPN Classic, from the Showboat Sports Pavilion in Las Vegas Nevada. Baron arm dragged Collins down, then took him over with a fireman¢s carry to a lock on Collin¢s right arm. The camera went to Magnificent Mimi in the audience. Commentator Lee Marshall said that he wasn¢t discrediting the other female contenders, but he felt that there wasn¢t any doubt in his mind that Mimi is the number one contender for Madusa Miceli¢s AWA world title.

Baron rolled Collins back with a waitlock to gain referee Gary DeRousha¢s two count. Collins forearm clubbed Baron on the ropes, but Baron kicked Collins, who tried for a back body drop. Baron clubbed and snap mared over Collins to tear at Collins¢ face. Referee DeRousha Baron off his attack, and Collins was turnbuckle smashed, then flipped off the ropes with a knee to the gut.

A front face locked Collins backed Baron to the corner, landed forearm clubs, then body slammed the Baron for a one count. Baron kicked and clubbed Collins, whipping him to the ropes for a hip toss. Baron then showed his Claw hand and did his goose step. When Collins rose, Baron clamped on The Claw, taken Collins down to the mat. Referee DeRousha counted Collins' shoulders to the mat for 1..2..3, ending this match before the four minute point.

"Gorgeous" Gary Young versus WCCW world champion "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich.

Young followed his manager Downtown Bruno (pre WWE Harvey Wippleman) to the ring. Kerry walked to the ring to Whitesnake¢s "Still of the Night" From the ring arpon, Bruno shouted at Kerry. Kerry spun around around and knocked Bruno to the floor with a discus punch. Young then swooped in with fists on Kerry.

Young didn¢t quite nail a clothesline, but was able to get a two count. From an exchange of fists, Kerry punched his way out of the corner, knocking Young down. Kerry then dropped Young with a discus punch, and Young was on his knees begging Kerry to hold back. Young lulled Kerry into a mid-section kick, then slammed Kerry¢s head into the top turnbuckle. Young jumped to the middle rope, when Kerry reversed the corner whip. Young twisted into a flying body press, but Kerry rolled backwards to hook Young up for the 3. This match was under two minutes.

Larry Nelson replaced Greg Gagne on this episode's segment of Mat Classics, as what was presented was a controversial match where Gagne lost the tv title to Gagne in Nashville, Tennessee. Garvin pretended to have hurt his leg (like Shawn Michaels against Batista at Backlash 2008). The referee had his attention away backing off Gagne, as Garvin had reached into his trunks and knocking down Gagne with what was probably a foreign object. Garvin gained the pinfall victory and the AWA tv title

Wendi Richter & Magnificent Mimi versus AWA ladies' world champion Madusa Miceli & Sylvia of the Stud Stable.

Mimi and Richter jogged to the ring to Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", and Sylvia was in a black one piece swimsuit as she followed the Madusa, dressed in a zebra design outfit. Madusa shouted "I want you Richter!" then charged, and Richter side stepped Madusa to roll her roll for a 2 count. Richter than waistlocked Madusa, lifting her and dropping her to a seated position.

Richter body scissored Madusa, and rolled Madusa to her back twice for 2 counts. Richter leg lifted Madusa twice to slam her butt into the mat. Madusa moved so that she was facing Richter, then got up and picked Ricter up by the hair to dump her near Mimi's corner. Madusa pulls Mimi down from a knucklelock, and steps on Mimi¢s armpit to apply more pressure to the arm lock.

While still in the lock, Mimi leap frogs over Madusa, then takes her down with a snap mare and an arm drag. Madusa escapes Mimi¢s arm lock, by clasping on to Mimi's face, and backing her to Sylvia¢s corner. Sylvia holds Mimi, as Madusa plants forearm clubs to Mimi¢s chest and mid section. Madusa slapped Mimi down in the corner, then as Mimi¢s back flat on the mat, Madusa pulls Mimi¢s wrists while stepping on her hair.

Madusa broke for the referee's count, then chest bumps the ref back. Madusa goes back to forearm clubs in the corner, then Richter is double sledge hammered down by Madusa, when Ricter tries to help Mimi. Madusa whips Richter from the corner as Sylvia whips Mimi from the corner. Richter and Mimi lock arms, spin themselves around and perform dropkicks. Mimi connects knocking Slyvia down, but Ricter crashes to the mat when Madusa side steps.

Though Mimi is the legal person in the match, the referee listens to Madusa to "get her outta here!" From the ring apron, Sylvia listens to Madusa's instruction of raising her foot in the corner, as Madusa battering rams Richter¢s head to Sylvia¢s boot. Madusa stomps the mat while having Richter in the head vice. Madusa suplexes Richter then Madusa tries to hide her actions as she chokes down Richter. Richter rams Madusa into Mimi¢s corner, then puts Madusa¢s legs behind the middle ropes, and delivers a charging ram to Madusa¢s mid-section.

Madusa yells for Sylvia after Richter lifts Madusa upside in the corner for kicks. Richter hammers down an approaching Sylvia, and Mimi shoved down on the apron by Madusa. Richter is choked on the top rope, then Madusa yanks the rope to fling Richter back. Madusa kicks away Mimi from tagging as she has Richter in a front face lock. Madusa back suplexes Richter with a bridge, and the referee counts, but after 2, neither woman has both their shoulder down. The referee looked to subtly being signaling for the bell.

Madusa belly to belly suplexed Ricter down, and Richter rolled to hook up Madusa, but the referee had the bell signal after this. Madusa got up, said "what the hell are you doing?!" and chest bumped the ref back into the corner. Sylvia raised Madusa¢s hand, saying "she's the winner!" and the ref lowered it, but didn¢t really express either team as winning. Commentator Lee Marshall looked to hear the decision by ring announcer Michael St. John, but they went to commercial. This match was over seven minutes.

Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden of the Stud Stable with Tommy "Wildfire" Rich versus "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant, "Superstar" Bill Dundee & Jeff Jarrett (accompanied by Jaime Dundee)

I apologize for this match not being as detailed. I was unable to review a playback when my VCR (yep, still using one of those) didn't record it. The Stud Stable followed their valet, the kendo stick wielding Sylvia. Dundee fought back Fuller and Golden. A tagged Valient stomped on Downtown Bruno¢s hand, then went ringside and pulled Slyvia back for a kiss. The referee stopped the match, disqualifying the Stud Stable when Bruno entered the ring on their behalf. All participants engaged in a battle royal, as Cactus Jack and Gary Young joined in to help out the Stud Stable. Brickhouse Brown then entered to help Valiant¢s team clear the Stud Stable from the ring.
