CHIKARA’s Season 15 begins with “A New Start!” Come join the fun-filled lucha superparty at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon, 1.25.15! Doors will open early at 1:30 and the event starts at 2 p.m.! If you're going to the WWE's Royal Rumble, don't worry – we’ll make sure you’ll have plenty of time to make it over to the Wells Fargo Center!
In the main event, Icarus will make his most personal CHIKARA Grand Championship defense to date when he faces a former friend and partner in Chuck Taylor! In addition to the roguish Kentucky Gentleman, Icarus also has to be wary of the obsessed Eddie Kingston, who desperately wants his chance to reclaim the Grand Championship!
The Osirian Portal'sOphidian will wrestle Nøkken of the BDKand both competitors need just one more win to earn a CHIKARA Grand Championship match! Ophidian has petitioned the Egyptian Deities for assistance in defeating the monster Nøkken, who will assuredly be accompanied by the Machiavellian JakobHammermeier and impish PinkieSanchez! Who will leave Philadelphia with 3 points and a title opportunity?
UltraMantis Black will meet Juan Francisco de Coronado for the first time! Since being attacked at “Tomorrow Never Dies” by Hallowicked, UltraMantis hasn't been seen or heard from! Juan Francisco wants to return to his winning ways after losing to “Smooth Sailin’” Ashley Remington and earn another shot at the GC!
The Colony (Fire Ant/SilverAnt/WorkerAnt) will fight the BDK (JakobHammermeier/PinkieSanchez) and SoldierAnt! A new start is exactly what TheColony is looking for, as they hope to eliminate the ghosts of their past in this match! However, Hammermeier is determined to reclaim the BDK’s place in CHIKARA as the dominant force!
Everyone’s favorite demons, The Batiri (Obariyon/Kodama,) will wrestle Hallowicked & Frightmare! Last season, these two teams partnered to defeat The Flood at “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” but at “A New Start,” they’ll meet in the ring. No one knows what to expect from Wicked and Frightmare because at “Tomorrow Never Dies,” they were put under the spell of the Eye of Tyr!
CHIKARA’s newest tag team, N_R_G (RaceJaxon/HypeRockwell,) will wrestle the dangerous Colony: Xtreme Force (MissileAssaultAnt/ArcticRescueAnt!) Can this odd couple get their first win by defeating the XtremeForce, who've proved they will use any means necessary to win?
Dasher Hatfield will lead Mr. Touchdown Mark Angelosetti, JervisCottonbelly, Shynron, and Princess Kimberlee against Sidney Bakabella’s Wrecking Crew (MaxSmashmaster/BlasterMcMassive/FlexRumblecrunch/OlegtheUsurper/Jaka!) Bakabella’s Crew dominated last season, but they shouldn't overlook Hatfield’s team, consisting of CHIKARA’s finest and freshest talent.
