iMPACT opened up with highlighs from No Surrender and two weeks ago on iMPACT looking at the going's on between NWA Heavyweight Champion, Raven, Jeff Jarrett and Rhino. Last week on iMPACT, Raven introduced Sabu back to TNA who attacked both Jarrett and Rhino. We then go live to the arena for the start of this weeks edition of iMPACT!

Super X Cup Tournament Semi Final
Samoa Joe vs. Alex Shelley
The music of Samoa Joe hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring for this Super X Cup Semi Final Match against Alex Shelley. X Division Champion, Christopher Daniels, joined Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary. The two locked up and Shelley grabbed a leg hold but Joe reversed into a single leg Boston crab, driving his knee into the neck of Shelley. They locked up again and Shelley worked the arm of Joe as Joe came back with an arm drag before we go to commercial. Back on iMPACT and Shelley is in control with a unique arm hold. Petey Williams made his way out to the stage for a closer look at the action as Joe came back with a stiff chop to the chest. AJ Styles is shown watching a monitor backstage as Joe roughed Shelley up in the corner. Shelley came back with forearms and then a head vice. Joe came back with a head scissors but Shelley reversed as the two traded holds on the mat. Joe went for a cross arm breaker but Shelley reversed into an SFT before Joe made the ropes before it was locked in. Shelley grabbed a side headlock and then hit some more forearm shots to the head. Joe came back with some big uppercuts and kicks in the corner before nailing a kick to the back of the head. Joe hit some more chops and right hands in the corner but Shelley came back with a high knee from the middle rope. Joe came back with a nice legsweep and then a senton splash to the back for two. Joe chopped at the chest of Shelley and then splashed him in the corner. Joe gave Shelley the face wash in the corner and then a stiff running knee to the head. Joe got Shelley in the corner and hit the Musclebuster and then locked in the Kokina Clutch for the win. Samoa Joe advances.

Backstage:
Cassidy Riley is backstage with Shane Douglas. Douglas asks him about his couriosity with Raven. Riley said the first time Raven came to save him was a coincidence, but last week he proved it wasn't a coincidence as he helped him again. Douglas said Riley must be elated that Raven will be teaming with Sabu. Riley said he was dissapointed that he wasn't chosen, but he said Sabu and Raven will be great.

NWA World Tag Team Title Match
Team Canada vs. The Naturals (c)
The music of the Naturals hit in the arena as Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas made their way to the ring with Jimmy Hart as the NWA Tag Team Champions. Team Canada, Eric Young and Bobby Roode, made their way to the ring with A1 as the challengers. Roode and Stevens started out with Roode getting the upper hand. Stevens came back with a shoulder block and then tagged in Douglas. The Naturals hit a double team on Roode, and then a double back body drop on Young. The Naturals then sent Young to the outside but A1 got involved allowing Roode to take advantage on Douglas. Roode tagged in Young and they stomped down Douglas in the corner. Young then worked over the back of Douglas and tagged in Roode who hit a shot to the mid section and locked in a reverse bear hug on the mat. Douglas came back with elbows and then a roll up for two. Douglas with a backslide for another two and then gave both Roode and Young a double noggin knocker. Douglas went for the tag but Roode hit a drop toe hold and tagged in Young who locked in an arm lock. Roode tagged back in who kicked Douglas in the gut and then choked him. Young back inside with a shot to the mid section but Douglas came back with a high knee. Roode got the tag and then knocked Stevens off the apron and then both men stomped on Douglas. Douglas hit an elbow in the corner and then managed to make the tag to Stevens. Stevens knocked down both men with right hands and then knocked A1 off the apron. Stevens hit a flying back elbow on Roode and sent Young to the outside. Stevens hit the powerbomb on Roode but Young came back in and broke the fall at two. Williams came down and got on the apron, distracting Stevens. Roode hit the full nelson slam on Stevens and Young hit the flying elbow from the top and Roode covered but Stevens kicked out. Roode stole the megaphone from Hart and went to nail Stevens, but Douglas grabbed it and nailed Young. Roode then picked it up again and the referee saw him with it and called from the bell. After the match, Team Canada beat down The Naturals in a four on one attack. America's Most Wanted then hit the ring to make the save and chase off Team Canada. AMW grabbed the title belts and handed the belts over to the Naturals in a show of respect.

Abyss vs. Apollo
The music of Abyss hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring with James Mitchell for this one on one match with Apollo who was accompanied by Sonny Siaki. The two men got face to face and then locked up with Apollo grabbing a side headlock. Apollo hit some chops to the chest and then a slap to the face of Abyss. Apollo hit a big boot and then a clothesline to send Abyss crashing to the floor. Apollo hit some chops on the outside and sent Abyss into the apron and then the guardrail. Abyss came back sending Apollo hard into the rail and then grabbed a chair. Siaki grabbed the chair from Abyss and Apollo then nailed him and sent him back inside and hit some mounted punches in the corner as we go to commercial. Back on iMPACT and Abyss is in control, sending Apollo shoulder first into the ring post. Abyss went for a chokeslam but Apollo elbowed out and hit a neck breaker for two. Mitchell grabbed the leg of Apollo on the outside and then Abyss laid him out with a clothesline. Abyss choked Apollo and then locked in a neck vice. Abyss hit some chops in the corner but Apollo came back with some of his own and then got a rollup in the corner before hitting a full nelson slam. Apollo hit a clothesline and then went for a superkick but Abyss blocked and then Apollo hit a flying clothesline before hitting a urinagi suplex. Abyss grabbed a chair on the outside but Apollo ducked and then hit a superkick and covered but Abyss kicked out at two. Abyss then hit the Black Hole Slam out of nowhere for the win. Lance Loyt hit the ring and unloaded with right hands on Abyss and then clotheslined him to the outside. Hoyt got on the mic and said Mitchell chose the wrong man to mess with. Hoyt got the crowd chanting his name as Abyss made his way to the back not looking pleased.

Backstage: Monty Brown is backstage with Larry Zbyszko. Brown said he wants to put BG in a match as the special referee, but Zbyszko said he had no choice as none of the other referees will work the match. Brown said to get it right, and if he puts BG James in his match, the Serengeti will become a much more dangerous environment.

Simon Diamond and David Young vs. Sabu and Raven
The music of Simon Diamond hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring with David Young for tag team action. The music of Sabu then hit and the lights went out and when they came back on, he was in the ring, and he will be teaming with NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Raven. Diamond and Raven kicked things off with Diamond getting control with stomps in the corner. Diamond laid Raven out with a clothesline but Raven came back and went for a DDT on Young, but Young escaped. Raven tagged in Sabu who went to work on Young with right hands and then a springboard leg lariat for two. Sabu hit a slingshot legdrop for two before locking in a rear chin lock. Diamond broke the hold and got a tag, and then tied Sabu in a tree of woe in the corner. Diamond hit a knee to the mid section and then the Simon Serie's before draping Sabu over the ropes. Young tagged in and hit some right hands and then a sick spinebuster for two when Raven broke the count. Sabu hit a somersault onto Young and then made the tag to Raven. Raven hit a short arm clothesline on Young and then a knee lift on Diamond. Raven hit a bulldog on Diamond and a clothesline on Young for two. Sabu made a blind tag and came off the top with a double clothesline on both men. Raven hit the Raven Effect on Young and then Sabu hit the Arabian Facebuster for the win. Rhino and Jeff Jarrett hit the ring but Sabu and Raven sent them to the outside. Sabu dived off a chair over the top to the outside on both Jarrett and Raven as iMPACT went off the air.
