WWE RAW Opener:

RAW opened up with footage from last week of D-Generation X terrorizing the McMahon’s. We then go live to the arena as Shane McMahon’s music is playing and he makes his way down the ramp, sans Vince. Shane took the mic and said that DX’s sophomoric pranks have hit a new low. They disgraced his airplane and headquarters, and his limousine. Shane said they have gone too far and endangered their lives last week. Shane said they did a whole lot more than rip out the back end of the limousine; they ripped out a piece of his heart. They tried to celebrate Vince’s 61st birthday last Thursday, but all he could do was look at the ceiling and say “DX, DX, DX…” Shane said Vince is chilling out tonight, so Shane is running things, and his first order of business is for the first time on RAW, in tag team action, D-Generation X will compete in this very ring against…but that’s on a need to know basis, but it’s sweet. By the end of the night they will know who their opponents are tonight, and what they will face three weeks from now at Unforgiven. Shane said that D-Generation X will be put straight to hell. With that, the music of WWE Champion Edge hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring with the Women’s Champion, Lita. Edge got on the mic and he said if Shane’s running the show, he needs to do something. Edge said to roll the footage, and we see Edge being thrown into Long Island Sound by John Cena last week. Edge said he is the WWE Champion and you do not put your hands on the WWE Champion and throw him into that cesspool. Edge asks Shane to fire John Cena…he wants him out of his life. The music of John Cena then hit as he made his way to the ring. Cena got on the mic and says Edge doesn’t want him to take a walk right now. Every week he comes out here with a story about the two of them that ends in a happy ending for the R Rated Superstar, but if he leaves now then all the people will remember is Cena throwing him into the Long Island Sound. Cena said Shane seems a little stressed…if he’s got 10 bucks, think of the possibilities (dig at Lita). Cena said that he messes with Edge’s head and this is why he wants him gone. Cena said he has a three year contract to go to Smackdown, and he has no problem signing it, but he needs one more match from Edge. If Edge beats him, he signs on the dotted line and Edge can own Monday night’s. Cena handed Shane the contract and asked Edge what he thinks. Edge took the contract and takes a look. Cena said he wants him gone, there’s his ticket out. Edge said he’ll do it with two conditions. First off, he names where the match takes place, and it sure as hell won’t be in this dumb, and number two, he names what kind of match it is. Cena said deal. Shane stops Cena as he is leaving the ring. Shane said people need to learn respect around here, he didn’t dismiss Cena. Shane said Cena has a match here tonight, and since he’s out here let’s introduce his opponent right now...Chris Masters!

Referee: Jack Doan
John Cena vs. Chris Masters

The start:

Back from commercial and we are underway with Cena nailing a suplex on Masters for two. Cena sent Masters to the corner and then hit the fisherman suplex for two. Master’s comes back with feet in the corner and then a clothesline. Masters got Cena on the apron and gave him an elbow to the face, and then choked him over the bottom rope. Masters hit some jabs as the fans chanted for Cena. Cena nailed right hands but then ran into a powerslam for a two count.

The Finish:

Masers locked in a camel clutch but Cena fought out and hit the flying shoulder. Cena nailed the spinning powerbomb and then went for the five knuckle shuffle, and nailed it. Cena went for the FU but Masters blocked and hit a reverse DDT. Masters called for the Master Lock and went for it but Cena reversed into the STFU. Edge then hit the ring with a steel chair and nailed Cena in the back.

Winner by disqualification, John Cena

The Aftermath:

Edge nailed Cena with the chair in the back again and then left the ring. Edge went under the ring and pulled out a ladder. Edge got the ladder into the ring and rammed it into the face of Cena. Edge went out of the ring again, and teased leaving, but went back under the ring and pulled out a table. Edge set the table up in the corner and tossed Cena through it. Edge grabbed his belt and took a mic. Edge said that he has good news. He’s decided where the match will take place…it’s going to be Unforgiven in his hometown of Toronto, Canada, and he’s decided what match it will be…a match Cena has never had and a match that Edge has never lost…Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

Backstage:

Shane is backstage with Charlie Haas and Viscera, and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch and they are arguing about who should face DX tonight. Shane said there is already a plan in place. Vince is on the phone, and Shane asks who he’s doing. We go to split screen with Vince in a hotel room. He said he had guests over earlier and has some wine action going on and a great big steak on the way in a minute. Vince asks Shane who’s going to be facing DX. The door bell rings at Vince’s suite, and then a rooster noise. Vince asks Shane what the sound is. Vince gets worried and turns around slowly. There’s two roosters’ in a cage in Vince’s room and Vince looks very worried, as DX knows where he is.

Backstage:

Carlito and Trish Stratus are shown backstage and Carlito said he wants to talk to her privately. Carlito asks Trish when she was planning on telling him. Carlito said it says on WWE.com that Lita says Trish is retiring after Unforgiven. Trish asked how she even knew that. Trish said this has beena decision she’s had to make and she didn’t want people finding out like this. She called Lita a nosey bitch and Carlito said it’s cool. Carlito said he’ll give her the proper goodbye, and then makes out with her. Randy Orton then nails Carlito from behind out of nowhere, and squashes Trish in the process. Orton leaves Trish and Carlito lying.

They said Vince seemed stressed out and what better way to relieve the stress than choking the chicken. In the arena:

Melina and Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro made their way down to the ring, and there’s a microphone set up for this press conference. Nitro said that this conference has been called so Melina can address the fans after last week. Nitro said what did you expect her to do. He said he is Johnny Nitro, the Intercontinental Champion, and he is everything that you people…and Mick Foley are not. Nitro said to admit it; they all wish they could be Nitro for just one night. He goes home, gets freaky with Melina and cuddles with his Intercontinental Title, and that killed Mick Foley, and that killed Mick Foley because he couldn’t do what he did every night. For Mick Foley and everyone else, fantasizing and dreaming are the closest they will get to doing this…Nitro then makes out with Melina. Melina then took over and said she would like to add that Mick Foley isn’t so much a quitter, he’s more an ass kisser. He kissed McMahon’s ass, the people’s ass and her ass. Foley claimed he wanted to be her friend, but she knows better. She called Foley a disgusting freak and he fell for her, and that’s not her fault. Melina said Foley can step in line because every man in this arena and every man around the world all fall for her. She would never take a person who looks like Foley seriously. She would like to make the statement that she never let Mick Foley touch her. She said Foley developed a school boy crush and embarrassed himself over her. Melina said she would never associate herself with regular people like them or Mick Foley. She is out of Foley’s league and there’s no way in hell that she would leave Nitro for a one eared smelly muppet like Foley. She not only fired Foley, but she put him out of his misery. Nitro said for Foley to enjoy his 19th retirement and to sit down and write his little blog as his career goes places that Foley’s never did go, and he does thing that Foley never could do. In closing, he would like to state something that Foley knows, and something everyone else knows…Melina and him are the hottest things on RAW and Nitro is the future of sports entertainment.
