Burlington, NC…

CWF MID-ATLANTIC'S "FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS 2" THIS FRIDAY IN BURLINGTON, NC

CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Friday, July 25th, with a special international DVD taping for "Friday Night Fights 2" with a 8:30pm belltime. All bouts are sanctioned by the AWA, the American Wrestling Association.

Commissioner William L. Cross has been so pleased with the excitement and interaction generated by our younger fans at events in recent months, including the first Friday Night Fights last month, that as a token of his gratitude this Friday night is "Kid's Night!"

Our younger fans have been especially vocal in their disdain for the recent attitude change in AWA Representative Michael McAllister. Those same fans were instrumental in circulating a petition to have McAllister removed from his position. Although McAllister was spared (and his job saved) by one vote in a conference among the AWA Board of Directors, Commissioner Cross wants our young fans to know that their complaints about McAllister have not fallen on deaf ears. So this Friday night during intermission at Friday Night Fights, Michael McAllister will be locked inside a steel cage and every kid in attendance will be given water balloons to throw at him! This Friday night EVERY young fan in attendance will get to not only say but SHOW Michael McAllister exactly what they think of his recent actions.

Some huge matches are in store for this Friday night but none bigger than the return match for the AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title.  Champion "Slick Diddy" Ric Converse defends against number one contender Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens. Converse retained against Stevens last month but this time McAllister has ordered the rematch to be fought under the rules of a "King of the Road Match." The rules for the King of the Road match stem from the Madd Trucker's experiences where truck drivers settle conflicts by circling the big semis and the two drivers fighting it out while other drivers keeping the two combatants inside the cirle.  This concept was adapted for pro-wrestling as a modified version of the lumberjack match and was created and perfected by Garry Stevens. Four individuals will surround the ring with one in each corner to ensure that Stevens and Converse settle this rivalry one-on-one with no
place to run and no one able to interfere... and no disqualifications.  McAllister also announced that he will select the four people at ringside.  The deck is stacked heavily in the Madd Trucker's favor but "Slick Diddy" has vowed that he can turn back the challenge of Garry Stevens in any type match.

AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions The $outh$ide Playas will also defend against manager Brad Stutts' team of "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel & the "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha. Yamaha, a multiple time former co-holder of the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championships had been frustrated in recent months by his lack of championship opportunities and will join Edsel, who has been in a miserable and hostile state of mind ever since losing the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship in December. Due to the stipulations in that match mandating that the loser would receive no more Mid-Atlantic Title shots for one full year, this could very well be Edsel's only title opportunity for some time and both men are looking to make the most of it. Edsel & Yamaha attacked the champions after a six-man tag bout last Saturday night. Stemming from that attack, both Playas are banged up but both Will B. Smooth & J-Money promise they will be coming to Friday Night Fights 2 for revenge!

Jesse Ortega in his sixth month as AWA Mid-Atlantic Television Champion and Ortega will put that belt on the line for the 18th times this Friday Night against "A Very Handsome Man" Mitch Connor. Connor is extremely proud of being from Milwaukee, WI and citing the AWA's strong heritage in the midwest region insists that he will take the belt with him back to Milwaukee after defeating Ortega and present it to the mayor. "El Fuego" said recently on CWF television that would take a whole six-pack of Milwaukee's best to dethrone him.

For some time now Tank Lawson has been claiming to anyone who would listen to him that he was in fact the strongest wrestler in the Mid-Atlantic territory. With the recent addition of manager Cornelius J. Lumpkin III, Lawson has now set out to prove without question he is the strongest man in the region. Lumpkin has put up $500 to anyone who can defeat Lawson in an arm-wrestling challenge. Tank's long-time rival Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride was the first to answer the challenge and these two will continue their competitive rivalry in a new and unique way this Friday night as McBride squares off with Lawson in an arm-wrestling match with $500 up for grabs.  McBride stated that after he wins the $500 and takes out enough to pay a few bills, he's going to give the rest of the money to ringside fans!

Plus a special preview of the upcoming AWA Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament will see three of the area's most spectacular high-fliers in a three-way elimination bout featuring RGL Champion Kid Justice vs. Ultra Dragon vs. Xsiris! In preparation for the big tournament coming to Burlington at the end of the month, all three men are sure to pull out all the stops and try to put on their most spectacular performance yet!

As an exclusive to the CWF Mid-Atlantic mailing list, fans that arrive early will be treated to an early bonus bout! New York's proudest new residents, Jay Sinn & Gregory Vercetti, The Street Sweepers, will collide with "Classic" Chris Collins & "Rock n Roll" Matty Dee -- Classic Rock!

The first Friday Night Fights saw a tremendous night of action plus several surprises and this Friday at Friday Night Fights 2 promises to do the same! Please join us this Friday night at the Carolina Sports Arena for Kid's Night, three championship matches including Stevens/Converse II, and SO much more!

Don't you dare miss it!!!
