----Results for the VIRGINIA AMATEUR WRESTLING COMMUTER CAMPS July 14-19 2008-----
The camp took place at Grace E. Metz Middle School located 9950 Wellington Rd. Manassas,VA. 20110. This was the 3rd year. The Camp featured, DAN ‘THE BEAST’ SEVERN –HOLDER OF 18 TITLE BELTS, 84 and 88 USA Olympic Wrestling team Alternate and 2006 World Champion, ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY HALL OF FAMER. The Question I must ask is Who is going to be the next BEAST at the next Amateur Wrestling Camps and MMA Camp in 2009?
*The 2 day Elementary Camp, was a success, this was the first year we separated elementary from the middle and high school. We saw very enthused little future Champs. The Middle and High School Wrestling Camp saw almost a double in enrollment this year. In addition local Wrestling Coaches were very impressed and want to support the next Wrestling Camp, One Coach wants to do a Team Concept, Competition Camp, we will see. The MMA Camp was also a success. In addition, Severn, the legend in Ultimate Fighting. Who is the only Triple Crown UFC Champion, and a former WWE superstar conducted a WOMENS SELF DEFENSE CLASS, the Women were impressed and wanted to know when the next one is.
