I just returned from the Days of the Dead convention in Indianapolis. This is a great horror convention which started in Indy last year. It has since expanded to Atlanta, Los Angeles and one in Chicago (November 16-18). Mick Foley and Roddy Piper have already been announced for the Chicago con.

At this year's Indy Days of the Dead, I met Rowdy Roddy Piper again. I have met, interviewed and worked with Piper on a couple literacy projects. He is truly a special person. I have never gotten any non-standard posed pictures with Piper, so I asked if he would mind putting the sleeper on me. He shied away a bit, saying he would put it on loosely. Before I knew it, he clamped it on tightly and almost knocked us both over. Actually, he released it and asked if I was okay. He then put it back on, just as hard. The line roared with laughter and disbelief.

This is a great convention which totally caters to the fans Every celebrity guest really seemed to give you a special moment. It was a total blast and I look forward to Chicago!
