With that, we got to clips from Erik Watts.

James Guttman welcomes Erik Watts to the show and asks how things are by him.  Erik responds:

"I had some personal issues called divorce.  It's a horrible thing.  I don't wish it on anybody.  But during that point in time, my legal team said for me to step out totally of doing anything wrestling-wise.  So it's been almost three years .  Two weeks ago, it was finalized.  So I did a little bit of GCW, but even that was too much for that.  So because of particulars, I wasn't supposed to say things, do things.  They told me how to walk, talk, act.  So those leashes are off me.  Those chains are unbound.  So now I can get back to what I've always known and what I've always loved and that's pro wrestling."

JG comments on how it must have been tough for Erik to step away given how much time he was in wrestling (as a second generation star.)  Watts says that wrestling has fed his children and put food on his table.  His mother, brother, and he all own Universal Wrestling's tape collection and that was pretty much all he could do during that time.  They put out a number of Mid-South DVDs.  There's amazing material in the Watts video collection including Vince McMahon and Muhammad Ali.  While that kept him active in the business, it wasn't the same as going out and mingling with fans.

- ClubWWI Break –

Watts, in progress…

"He was pissed…those are the things that blow my mind about TNA.  TNA is just such, uh, the structure of TNA is so….when people want to sit there and go, 'Oh the WWE.'  Don't even get yourself twisted about the WWE and politics.  You want to see politics at its best?  Go to TNA….They had me come in, beat on Jeff Jarrett within an inch of his life for like three or four weeks.  People were booing me to death wanting to kill me. ..Raven was there again and Raven's always been one of my biggest supporters and Raven said, 'Oh my God, Watts reminds me of when he came to ECW.  Holy Crud.  You're going to be off the chain.  What I heard through the rumor mill was, 'Get rid of him…I didn't know he was that tall…I don't remember him being that tall.'

Shocked, Guttman stumbles over his words as he asks for an explanation.  Jeff Jarrett wanted him fired because he was…too tall?  Really?  Watts says that’s what he heard and continues on…

"So the next thing I heard because I said, 'Is he kidding me?  What part of 6'6 is fabricated?'…I mean, David and Goliath and the whole thing.  The story stayed true.  That's what you want.  You want some big guy coming in (and) beating you.  And you want to outwrestle him.  And Jeff, since you're the best wrestler in the world – because you've told everyone you're the best wrestler in the world – and you can wrestle with a broom handle…make me a freakin' broom, bro."

Erik goes on to speak about the situation and what happened when they tried to fire him.  This is one shoot that you don't want to miss.  No one shoots like Erik Watts and no one has it but www.ClubWWI.com.
