Georgie,

I just read the post about Jeff Hardy's autograph signing and how he stayed so late to make sure that everyone got their autograph signed... and I was going to let it go, but now I am really upset...

When WWE came to Portland a few weeks ago, Jeff Hardy went to Weston Kia in Gresham, Oregon (who didn't even know who he was BTW) to sign autographs.  It was advertised (and we personally called the Kia dealership) that he would be there for two hours and everyone would get a chance to meet him and get an autograph.  So, we drove for 2 hours (one way) to go see him since WWE rarely gets out to Oregon or even when they do, rarely do they have an autograph signing... got there in time for the event (and this was the very first WWE autograph session we had ever had a chance to attend) and then stood in a HUGE line outside in the freezing, windy weather for an hour and a half, just to see the crowd freaking out because Jeff was leaving.    So the crowd literally mobs up towards the front of the dealership, trampling one lady to the ground and leaving her (thank God a few people stopped to help her) and we were able to atleast get a picture of him by holding the camera over the crowd.  My husband is fortunately tall enough to where he was able to reach out and get a high-five and snap a picture or two, but that was the extent of it.  He didn't even make eye contact or say a single word to any one person in that entire crowd... but he did hide out in the service garage area for God knows how long until the crowd disbursed so he could leave without getting mobbed... why not take that time to stand there and sign autographs inside the shop???  That dealership almost had a riot on their hands (seriously) even after being told how popular Jeff is and how many people were going to be there - they had no clue what to expect.

Our whole family is HUGE Jeff Hardy fans, but our son is one of his biggest.  I can't tell you how disappointed he was and how SICK I was that Jeff took off early and see the disappointment on my son's face.  We had even made a photo CD put to his music to give him as a gift - needless to say we still have that here... and then we see your story about how he stayed so much longer and made sure his fans were taken care of... kinda makes you a little mad.

We were trying to make excuses for it, like maybe he was sick or had another appointment or whatever, but I really don't think he did.  The show wasn't until the following evening and this was Monday (President's Day) at 1:30 pm, so it's not like he was rushed to get back to the show.  He was only 30 minutes from his hotel room too...  I had always heard how fan-friendly the Hardy's ALWAYS WERE and that is why I was just so disappointed/disgusted when I heard how he had stayed so long at this signing and not ours.  He stayed longer AFTER this last event and signed for folks who didn't even have tickets than he stayed at the Oregon even in total.

Just needed to vent...
