Thumbs Up
Overall, a very good Judgment Day PPV.
Best Match: I can't pick between these two so a tie between the Main Event, Edge vs Jeff Hardy and the Jericho vs Rey match.
Worst Match: Cena vs Big Show
Like I said, the PPV was very good. Jericho and Rey had a very good match. It was awesome in the homestretch. I am guessing Rey and Jericho are going to have a long program. This is a good start. Edge and Jeff had an awesome match. Very interesting that Matt Hardy interfered considering the history between him and Edge. However, I loved the match.
Man, though, the Big Show and Cena match was not very good. I didn't find some of the booking realistic, at least not to me. I mean, at one point in the match, Big Show lands a splash on Cena and Cena kicked out? What the heck was up with that? I mean, a 500 pound guy lands on you and you kick out??? That does not make any sense. I also wished Cena had sold the effects of the match after he won. Here he is, in a brutal match against a 500 pound guy and he was posing and all that with Soriano as if nothing had happened. The SuperCena bit is getting annoying.
Rest of the Show:
Punk and Umaga had a good opening. Nice to see Punk get support from his hometown. Fun match.
Swagger vs Christian: Good, solid match. Good to see Christian retain.
Orton vs Batista was better than I thought it would be. Randy did all he could to get DQ'd and counted out but Batista would have none of it until Randy eventually DID get DQ'd when he slapped the ref. Looks like Flair's retirement is not lasting very long, is it? I was not happy that once again, Legacy is beaten up by a so called "retired" wrestler.
Morrison vs Benjamin had a couple of blown spots it looked like to me, but a good solid match. I enjoyed it.
The comedy segment was ok. Went a little too long.
