FROM THE DESK OF..... TOD GORDONJuggalos? Jiggalos? Deuce Bigalow? What in the world is going on with my
new promotion, PWU ? I've got clowns to the left of me and Joker's on my
right. This may be one of the most bizarre months I've ever experienced in
almost 17 years of promoting professional wrestling events. The key word here
is "event ", because when you deal with The Insane Clown Posse, Psychopathic
Records, and all of their crazy fans known as " The Juggalos", it's like
nothing I have ever experienced before.
BOMBSHELL? BOMBSHELL? Annie Social, my executive vice president and I are
sitting in my office trying to assemble a card for our great fans of PWU, when
we are "told" there is a message waiting for us from Violent J. Simply put
.... he's going to drop a bombshell this Saturday night. With Corporal
Robinson now pulling double duty as our Hardcore Champ and the JCW's
Heavyweight champ, it seemed like a great opportunity to expose our fans to
some wrestlers they don't get to see very often, if at all. Corp asked if he
could bring along a few friends such as Rude Boy, and the man he dethroned,
Mad Man Pondo. It's not easy to say no to a guy like Corp, so we agreed.
As most of you reading this know, The New Alhambra ( the building I named
The ECW Arena in 1992), has been the birthplace of some of the most innovative
matches in wrestling history. This is the building that housed the very first
TLC match, also known as a table, ladders, and chairs match. Before my time
with PWU began, they created the Crazy 8 match, and if you never saw that, I
would strongly encourage you to make that the first dvd you purchase should
you want a sampling of our product. All of this brings me to our heavyweight
title match this Saturday night. For the first time ever, and where better
than this building, you will see a TLS match. That's tables, ladders, and
SCAFFOLDS. Please note that the word scaffolds is plural. Champion Devon
Moore defends his title against the man who hogtied him and left him hanging
from the rafters of the building last month, Azriel. And the Clowns think they
are insane?
Our tag-tam division, which is the envy of every federation in the
business today, will feature a rematch between two teams that spent the entire
summer feuding. The SAT's are the champions, but it was ALL MONEY IS LEGAL who
walked away last month with the Pitbulls/Public Enemy Memorial Cup trophy.
With both hugely popular teams on a major roll, this promises to be as action
filled a match as you can see anywhere currently. Lying in the weeds, waiting
for the outcome will be the newly formed team put together by HOMICIDE last
month; the team of Joker and Reyes, who along with The Backseat Boys ( Johnny
Kashmere and Trent Acid) will be in attendance this weekend.
Our women's champion, Mercedes Martinez, has been violently attacked two
months in a row by the man who calls himself D-TOX. Two months ago, he knocked
her out from behind and then spray painted his name on her back. Last month,
he knocked her out cold with that spray can, getting himself DQ'ed. He won't
get off that easy this Saturday as Martinez has demanded a no disqualification
return match for her title.
Did I mention the return of Ian Rotten? I know he's had issues in the past
with some of the JCW regulars such as Pondo, Corporal Robinson, and Violent J
as well. He'll be there for whatever reason he has in that demented head of
his. So will the Krash Krew, the team that took the Briscoes to the extreme as
they brawled all over the arena last month.
So, let's sum this up. Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, Rude Boy, Corporal
Robinson, Mad Man Pondo, The Juggulator, Devon Moore, Azriel, The SAT's, AMIL,
Joker, Backseats, Reyes, The Real Pitbull, Ian Rotten, D-Tox, Krash Krew,
Mercedes, and more this Saturday night. Tickets can be purchased on line at
