Funk's Corner - Champions Collide at Turning Point
Two World Champions who I have had the privileged to coach, are in the main events this Sunday live on Pay Per View at "Turning Point" at 8:00pm Eastern, 5:00pm Pacific, Kurt Angle and Christian Cage.
NWA World Title, Christian Cage vs Sting vs Abyss With James Mitchell
Christian Cage, who was considered by his teammate, Kurt Angle to be the best athlete in the Funking Dojo at the time we were training in Stamford, Connecticut, will be making a bid for his second reign as NWA World Champion.
Christian will be facing a bigger and stronger opponent in Abyss under the guidance of James Mitchell. He will also be facing a man of more experience, stronger and wiser in the ways of professional wrestling in the legend Sting.
Both Christian and Sting have been NWA World Champion before and they both know the feeling of being in the most coveted position in professional wrestling.
James Mitchell will have an influence on the match whether it is physical or even more likely mental.
Watch for the "Underdog, Christian to come out with a victory and a second reign as NWA World Champion.

In our first day of training at the Funking Dojo I spoke with Kurt Angle and told him anything he did in amateur wrestling he could do in professional wrestling, it had to be modified slightly because the athletes he would face would be bigger, stronger and of more diversified background than found in amateur wrestling .
This is personified in the person of Samoa Joe. He is bigger, stronger and more diversified in wrestling background with experience in Martial Arts, Greco, Judo and maybe the most important of them all, Street Fighting and Kicking Butt like a Texas Cowboy.
Kurt Angle is the only Olympic Gold Medalist I have trained to achieve such success in professional wrestling. (Jumbo Tsuruta of All Japan Pro-Wrestling was an Olympic Silver Medalist and alumni of the Dory Funk Method of professional wrestling) I believe Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe will be one of the best wrestling matches to date in TNA.
As a former NWA World Champion, I believe that both of these men have what it takes to go on to challenge for the NWA World Championship. When it comes to picking a winner on this one, I have to call it even.
It is no secret that whichever athlete wins in the face to face confrontation between Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe, The winner will be hot on the trail of whoever walks out of the ring as NWA World Champion at Turning Point.
