Great event put on by Family Wrestling Entertainment at The Hall at St Paul in Manhattan NYC this past Saturday night! The venue is in the basement of a church but was a good set up. Concessions were available and reasonable and the lighting and sound crew did an excellent job. Before the show they had a 2 hour meet and greet with the stars appearing on the card. All the talent was very friendly and things went pretty well. I was able to get several photo ops then run doen to the Rite-Aid and print them and get back in time to get them signed.
FWE has a really good mix of up and coming indy stars and known former WWE/TNA talent as well as some workers from ROH who appear.
This show featured a tournament to crown the first ever FWE Women's champion featuring Tara, Winter, Miss Tessmacher and making her first ring appearance in 2 years, birthday girl, Maria Kanellis.

Match #1- Winter pins Miss Tessmacher to reach the finals of the ladies tournament
Match #2- The Midnight Sensations win by pin over Bandido Jr and Azriel
Match #3- Mr Pectacular Jesse Goddarz wins over Jay Santana by pinfall....he may or may not have had his feet on the ropes...the crowd saw nothing!
Match #4- Maria Kanellis pins Tara in her first ring appearance since leaving WWE with outside interference by Winter
Match # 5 - The Prodigy Mike Bennett wins a fatal 4 way by pinning Firebird Mike Santi...the other participants Matt Taven w/Karlee May and Wes Draven
Match # 6 - Big Daddy V puts Malta The Damager through a table!
Intermission
Match # 7 - ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal is the new FWE Tri-Borough Champion...I blame AJ Pan for not helping Damian Darling get DQ'd when Rick Silver was ejected from ringside!
Match # 8 - VSK and EJ Risk win by pinfall over Diamond Inc
Match # 9 - In the finals of the FWE Women's Tournament...Your new champion...Maria Kanellis! Hey Winter, "Boom goes the dynamite!" As payback for Winter's interferance in Tara's match, Miss Tessmacher distracts the ref while Tara hits "The Widow's Peak" on Winter and rolls an unconscious Maria on top of her for the pinfall!
Main event...Tommy Dreamer puts Charlie Haas through a table and wins by pinfall!
Next show is scheduled for March 24th at 3 Legged Dog Studios 80 Greenwich Street New York NY. Already signed for 3/24: FWE Tri-Borough Champion Jay Lethal, FWE Women's Champion Maria Kanellis, Charlie Haas, Brian Kendrick, Rosita, Damien Darling, Malta the Damager, Adrenaline Express (EJ Risk/VSK) and so much more. Tickets on sale very soon and reserved seating is recommended as 3LD holds about 100 less seats than "The Hall". Check out the website
