NEWS

Peach State Pandemonium will feature Curtis Hughes, Ace Rockwell, and Bobby Simmons tonight at 9:00 PM ET. Mr. Hughes has spent two decades in the business, including runs with World Wrestling Entertainment, World Championship Wrestling, and Extreme Championship Wrestling. Today, Hughes spends much of his time training wrestlers for Atlanta’s World Wrestling Alliance 4 school, and making appearances for various independent promotions around the southeastern U.S. Ace Rockwell, a former NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion, and the only Triple Crown Champion in Anarchy history, is a native of Chattanooga with eight years of experience. He first made his name, with partner Shaun Tempers, as Pomp & Circumstance in Rome with NAWA, before moving to NWA Wildside. Rockwell soon became a top fan favorite there, but has had several serious injuries. Recently, Rockwell returned to full-time action with Anarchy, where he will appear in one of the featured matches at “Hostile Environment” on July 19. Bobby Simmons will take us back through time in the Wayback Machine to look at Georgia Championship Wrestling’s move to include northern states of Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia into its “territory”. World Wrestling Entertainment has announced the following events: August 30 in Jonesboro, AR, at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center; September 7 in Cleveland, OH, at the Quicken Loans Arena (Unforgiven PPV); September 8 in Fort Wayne, IN, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum; and November 23 in Boston, MA, at the TD Banknorth Garden (Survivor Series PPV). Flatline Championship Wrestling results from Patriots Park in Grovetown, GA, on July 12: CEO Daniel E. Mayne opened the show and was interrupted by former FCW Champion the Live Organ. Stud McCoy entered the arena and a match ensued. McCoy defeated Organ. Brian Baldwin defeated Nick Kismet. Big Game James defeated the Common Man. Venom defeated Mason Storm. BMF Champion Matt Crosby defeated John Malus to retain the title. V.I.P. defeated Draven & Tommy Cash and Johnny Blaze & Hallowicked. Ethan Case defeated Hans Baumgartner by DQ. Universal Champion Sixx defeated James Hunter to retain the title. In a pink slip match, Chris Mayne defeated Rage Champion Darkness for the title, and Darkness is fired from FCW. Results from Old School Championship Wrestling on July 13 at Weekend's Pub in Goose Creek, SC: Starting the tag team tournament was Hans & Italian Ice vs. The Armed Forces (Tank Lewis & Solitude). Hans pushed Italian Ice into the hands of the Armed Forces who executed the win, which kept them in the tournament. Continuing the tournament, it was Brandon Paradise & Nick Kismet over Devon Wright & Tommy Kirkland. In a 3-way for the IC Title, featuring Live Organ w/ Miss Harden, Darkness, and champion Chris Mayne, Organ won making him the new champion. Match 4 was the final match in the tournament, featuring Brandon Paradise & Nick Kismet vs. The Armed Forces. The Armed Forces won, sending them in for the title shot later in the night. In a Heavyweight Title Match, champion Mack Truck, w/ Reginald Vanderhoff, lost to RoughHouse Matthews. During intermission there was live music from Larry George. In a match for the Universal Title, it was Josh Magnum vs. champion Sixx. At the end of this match John Malus ran in the ring knocking Sixx down and tempting Magnum to take the pin, but Magnum refused. There was no winner. In the semi-main for the Tag Team Titles, it was the winners of the tournament, the Armed Forces vs. the champions, Rufio Rush & Bob Keller, w/Vanderhoff. The Armed Forces took the titles. The main event was Malachi vs. Al Snow, and yes, to the most asked question prior to this event, he did bring Head. Snow took the victory over Malachi. Al left the ring after his victory, and moments after the Company took out their frustration of losing all the titles on referee J.W. Kensington. Before they roughed him up, they were chased away by RoughHouse, Italian Ice, and the Armed Forces. The Commissioner then set up a match for August 24 in which the entire Company, including Vanderhoff, must wrestle. Their opponents will be RoughHouse, Italian Ice, and the Armed Forces, with Kensington. The stipulation is that if the Company wins that match they will be given a chance to win all the titles at October's “Caged Carnage” event, but if they lose, Vanderhoff and his Company will be banned from OSCW. In an "Anything Goes match", Sideshow defeated 911 Inc.'s Francisco Ciatso, w/Ron Niemi & Becky Bayless. 911, Inc members Dark City Fight Club, w/Ron Niemi & Becky Bayless, defeated Bruce Santee & Sedrick Strong. Erick Stevens defeated 911 Inc member Shawn Osborne, w/Ron Niemi & Becky Bayless. The Lifeguards defeated The Heartbreak Express, w/Amy Vitale. Team Vision member Kenny King defeated Nooie Lee. In another Anything Goes Match, House of M, w/George Martel, defeated Bumz R' Us. Fantastic Dantastic & Keith Blonde defeated House of M member Snow, w/George Martel. NOTES

Quinton Jackson was arrested at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon following a police chase. Jackson, a former Ultimate Fighting Championship Light Heavyweight Champion, is being held pending $25,000 bail. UFC President Dana White went to the Orange County Jail in Newport Beach, CA, to post Jackson’s bail. According to reports, Jackson was involved in a hit-and-run in Costa Mesa, CA, around 1:15 PT yesterday, and was first spotted driving with a flat tire by a local law enforcement official. Jackson was also talking on his cell phone, which is illegal in the state, and the officer began to follow him. However, reports are that Jackson would not stop, and was involved in another collision before the chase ended, which also included driving on the wrong side of the road and a sidewalk, even after the tire had come off the vehicle. Jackson is facing charges of hit-and-run, reckless driving, and evading officers. (Rich Tate)

It was announced that Al Lovelock would be in Atlanta on July 23, 1948, and that Chris Belkas and Enrique Torres would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.
