Advertised: Triple H defends the WWE Heavyweight Title against Edge; CM Punk defends the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Batista; Mark Henry defends the ECW Heavyweight Title against Tommy Dreamer; John Morrison & the Miz defend the WWE Tag Team Title against Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder, Finlay & Hornswoggle, and Jesse & Festus in a fatal four-way; John Cena versus JBL in a New York City parking lot brawl; Shawn Michaels versus Chris Jericho; Michelle McCool versus Natalya Neidhart for the inaugural WWE Divas Title; and Matt Hardy defends the WWE US Heavyweight Title against Shelton Benjamin. Wilcott is from Louisiana and also works some OVW shows. Shane Eden beat Shawn Shultz by DQ. Chris Michaels beat Adam Armor. Chase Stevens beat Hammerjack. United States Wrestling Organization results from July 18 in Nashville, TN, where reportedly 64 visited the Stadium Inn: Psycho Medic beat Lee Cross. New York Gangster beat Bryan Casey. In the first qualifying match for the vacant USWO Heavyweight Championship, Jeremiah Plunkett (the former Jay Phoenix) beat Justin Spade. For the second qualifying match, Andy Douglas beat Seven (with Charming Charles) by DQ when Charles got caught hitting Douglas with his cane. Cousin Jason X beat Shane Smalls to win the USWO Jr. Championship. The third qualifying match saw the returning Gary Valiant (w/Miss Boogie) beat Tim Renesto. USWO Tag Team Champions Quinton Quarisma & JC Crowe beat Damien Payne & Rob C (also making his return to USWO) when Quarisma hit Payne with handcuffs and put Crowe on top for the pin. Jeremiah Plunkett beat Gary Valiant (w/Miss Boogie) and Andy Douglas in a three-way to win the USWO Championship. Georgia Pro Wrestling Association results from City Limits in Tifton, GA, on July 17: Jake Slater won a ten-man battle royal to start the show, earning a title shot in the main event; Tommy Dane over Cassius Clay; Johnny Romano over Prince Murphy; Pain & Brokishi, with E.D. Biggs, over Slater & Psych; Kevin Kantrell over Mike Cross; the New Marvelous Ones over Lance Alonte & Justin Taylor to retain the GPWA Tag Team Title; Big Bank Barfield over Less Fortunate; and Preston Paradise over Slater to retain the GPWA Heavyweight Title.
