World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown/ECW crew will be at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA, tonight. (Rich Tate)

New Frontier Wrestling Association results from the National Guard Armory in Franklin, NC, on July 19: the Saturday Night Sensation (Matt Sells & Ryan Michaels), with Nigel Sherrod, over Danny Diesel & White Lightning; the Bounty Hunter over Ran-Man; the Heavenly Bodies (Eddie Golden & K.C. Thunder) over Chris Damien & Adam Logan; Dirty over Sci-Fi and Backdraft, with Damon Studd, in a three-way; Thomas Britain, with Stoney Hooker, over Drew McElrath; and Brokishi over Simon Sermon in a fan participation lumberjack match. United Championship Wrestling results from a TV taping in Newport, TN, on July 19: Tyler Sutton over Shane Smalls; T.J. Harley over Allen Shepard; Travis Sawyer over Justin O’Day to retain the UCW TV Title; Shawn Schultz over Shane Smalls; T.J. Harley over Brian Casey; John Justice over #1 Bob; and a three-way featuring Allen Shepard, Justin O’Day, and Tyler Sutton went to a no contest. In dark matches, Henry Hoss over David Wright, and John Justice & Allen Shepard over Shawn Schultz & Travis Sawyer by countout. The Peachstate Wrestling Alliance will be at the Activity Center in Bremen, GA, on July 25. Bell time is 7:30 PM. Doors open at 6:30. Admission is $10. Kids 6 and under are admitted free of charge. Advertised: Bull Buchanan versus Elix Skipper; Bob Armstrong versus the Lethal Luchador; Sal Rinauro versus El Mexicano for the PWA Cruiserweight Title; Ace Rockwell versus Shaun Tempers; and Mike Jackson versus the Ultimate Dragon. Prime Time Pro Wrestling will make their debut in Columbus, GA, on August 8 at the old GCW/IWN building on Burnham Blvd. PTPW Senior Booker Drew Golden and Promoter Billy Roper have announced these matches for August 8: Colt Derringer will defend the PTPW Heavyweight Title against Bulldog Raines. Deathrow vs. Marty Jannetty. Mr. Hughes vs. Chris Stevens. Also advertised is Rob Adonis and a 10-man cruiserweight battle royal with the winner to earn a spot on the PTPW roster. (Larry Goodman)

Dykes & the Infernos by disqualification / Notes: J.C. Dykes managed the Infernos. There were two referees for the match between Enrique, Alberto & Ramon Torres and J.C. Dykes & the Infernos. The Infernos were disqualified when they threw a fireball at Ramon Torres. The program we have for this card mentions that Mario Galento is an honorary Mayor of Lilburn, GA. It also reported that Bobby Shane has recovered from the burns he suffered on July 2, 1966, at the hands of the Infernos, and is in training with Bill Longson. It was announced that the Golden Terror would be wrestling on the card on July 29, 1966.

JULY 22, 1967 (SATURDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – WAII STUDIOS (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Bob Armstrong and Bill Dromo wrestled to a draw > Georgia Tag Team Television Title Tournament: Stan & Butcher Vachon defeated Ricky Hunter & Bob Nandor; Alberto & Ramon Torres defeated Alex Perez & Louie Tillet by disqualification; Vachons defeated Torres’ by disqualification to win title / Notes: This was for the “Live Atlanta Wrestling” television program hosted by Ed Capral. This episode appeared from 3:00 to 4:30 PM, which is outside of it’s normal time slot of 6:30 to 7:30 PM. It was also the debut of showing the program in color, which would resume with each show going forward. The tournament for the Georgia Tag Team Television Title was to determine inaugural champions, but we have no found no further reference to the title.

The program for this card mentions that “Columbus Championship Wrestling”, hosted by Jim Koger, could be seen live on WTVM Channel 9 on Saturdays at 1:00 PM.
