Reports are coming out this afternoon that Yuji Nagata was hospitalized today. According to reports, he had been struggling with a headache in recent weeks, and this morning when he arrived for the New Japan event, he was complaining of severe pain in his head, and had lost control of the left side of his body. Talent & Andrew Pendleton III) in 7:20; Mikal Judas pinned Dominous in 3:12; Todd Sexton pinned Wesley Grissom with the Sexecution (9:04); Devil’s Rejects (Iceberg & Azrael & Shaun Tempers with Reverend Dan Wilson) beat Awesome Attraction (Austin Creed & Hayden Young) & Truitt Fields in 13:02; Adrian Hawkins beat Amien Rios in 6:16 with the Extreme Makeover; Regular Guys (Bobby Hill & Tyler Smith) beat Anger Alliance (Brodie Chase & Don Matthews) after Melissa Coates got involved (9:05); Billy Buck & Chris King beat Hollywood Brunettes (Andrews Alexander & Kyle Matthews) via DQ due to interference by Talent & Money (7:30); and Shatter (with Attorney Jeff G. United Championship Wrestling ran Saturday night in Maryville, TN, before an estimated crowd of 150 and here are the results: Tropper T over The Rip (formerly Rip O' Kelly) by DQ; Death Row Inmates over J Mac & Scotty Atomic; Shane Williams over Menace to keep the UCW title. Post match saw UCW owner Jessie Ellis suspend Williams for 30 days for using the piledriver which is a banned moved to win the match; Edward idol over Donovan Daniels to keep the UCW TV title; and in a first blood match, Jeff Anderson and John Justice went to a no contest when the referee after recovering from being knocked out saw both men busted open. Full Impact Pro results from the National Guard Armory in Crystal River, FL, on February 16: Austin Aries over Davey Richards, meaning Dave Prazak loses his manager’s license; Chasyn Rance over Seth Delay; Lacey & Rain over Allison Danger & Trenesha; Kenny King & Jason Blade over Robert Anthony & Sean Osborne to retain the FIP Tag Team Title; Nigel McGuinness over Necro Butcher; Sal Rinauro over Tyler Black to retain the FIP Florida Heritage Title; Shawn Murphy of Black Market over the Heartbreak Express (Sean & Phil Davis), whereas the loser can never wrestle for FIP again. Joey Machete, the other half of Black Market, was attacked prior to the match and was unable to participate; and Roderick Strong over Erick Stevens to win the FIP Heavyweight Title. (Rich Tate)

Southern All-Star Wrestling results from Columbia, TN, at Morton's Auction House on February 16. Attendance was reported as 75. Shawn Reed (with Anita Page) beat Shane Morton. Page distracted the ref, Reed's partner Void threw him a chain which he used on Morton. Drew Haskins beat Void (with Anita Page). Shane Morton prevented Void's partner Reed from interfering in that one and Haskins rolled him up for the win. Chris Cain beat Chris Eckos. Drew Haskins beat Shawn Fatal. Boogie Woogie Boy (with Miss Boogie) beat Jason James (with Paul Adams). James was subbing for Rick Santel, who missed the show due to a last minute schedule conflict. Hammerjack beat Arrick Andrews. Finish saw Andrews set for the dragon kick. Adams interfered and Miss Boogie ran to ringside and tackled him. Hammerjack grabbed his sledgehammer and used it on Andrews. The ref finally got Miss Boogie off Adams, returned to the ring, and counted the 1-2-3. (Larry Goodman)

New Frontier Wrestling Association results from the National Guard Armory in Franklin, NC, on February 16: the opener featuring Sci-Fi versus the Mortician ended in a no contest; Dirty over Korrupt to retain the NFWA US Heavyweight Title; the A-Team (Jamar Acid & Dark Angel) over Stoney Hooker & the Bounty Hunter to retain the NFWA Tag Team Title; Pitt over BackDraft; the Finishers (David Raines & Drew Bannen) over Mike Margera & Danny Diesel; Carter Maine over Cornbread; and Brokishi over Simon Sermon to win the NFWA Heavyweight Title. Funeral arrangements for Johnny Weaver have been announced, and will take place on February 20 at the McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel in Charlotte, NC, located at 10500 Park Road, beginning at Noon. Visitation is February 19, from 6-9:00 PM. We incorrectly reported his age as 73 when the news of his passing first broke on Friday. He had turned 72 in November. Fifteen years ago today, Kurt Von Stroheim passed at the age of 69.

On this day in 2002, Bud Adams died at 67.

NOSTALGIA

1926: John Paxos defeated Boris Demetroff in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter John Contos. There was to be a match featuring Charley Gotch versus Wladek Zbyszko, but Zbyszko failed to appear.

1927: Joe Stecher defeated Jim Browning to retain the World Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter John Contos.

1937: Stanley Buresch defeated Mike Nazarian in two straight falls in the main event at the New Coliseum in Augusta for promoter Bill Metzger.

1948: Tony Mello and the Green Hornet (Jack Singer) wrestled to a draw at the East Point Municipal Auditorium for promoter Fred Ward. Ward was not yet affiliated with Georgia Championship Wrestling.

1960: A main event match featuring Freddie Blassie versus Vince Bryant was ruled a no contest at the Columbus Sports Arena for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Fred Ward.

1964: A main event match featuring Bill Dromo & Chief Little Eagle versus Stan Stasiak & Red Roberts was ruled a no contest at the William Bell Auditorium in Augusta for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Steve Manderson.

1967: Lars & Gene Anderson defeated Enrique & Ramon Torres to retain the Southern Tag Team Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. Buddy Fuller defeated El Mongol to retain the Georgia Heavyweight Title in the semi-main event.

1970: Alberto & Ramon Torres defeated the Assassins to win the Southeastern Tag Team Title at the Macon City Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Fred Ward. For the match, the Assassins were required to wear different colored wrestling tights. Paul DeMarco defeated Doug Gilbert in the semi-main event.

1973: On the “Georgia Championship Wrestling” television program hosted by Gordon Solie, the Zodiac (Bob Orton, Sr.) joined Solie to claim he had been robbed in the Georgia Heavyweight Title tournament because the fans who acted as judges were biased in their decision. J.C. Dykes, who managed the Super Infernos, announced to Capral that he had allowed Chati Yokuchi & Fuji to cancel their management contract.

1975: We do not have results for this match, but Rocky Johnson was scheduled to defend the Georgia Heavyweight Title against Jerry Lawler at the William Bell Auditorium in Augusta for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Charlie Harben. The advertised main event was Jack & Jerry Brisco versus Toru Tanaka & Assassin #2, managed by Rock Hunter.

1978: Ole Anderson & Stan Hansen defeated Andre the Giant & Mr. Wrestling #2 in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. Dick Slater defeated Abdullah the Butcher, managed by Rock Hunter, in the semi-main event. Also, Tommy Rich defeated Luke Graham.

1991: Lex Luger & Sting defeated Stan Hansen & Sid Vicious by disqualification in the main event at the Omni Auditorium in Atlanta for World Championship Wrestling. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Dan Spivey & Steele (Kevin Nash) to retain the US Tag Team Title. Also, Arn Anderson defeated Bobby Eaton to retain the WCW World Television Title, and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair defeated El Gigante by disqualification in a title match. Tommy Rich, Ricky Morton & the Junkyard Dog defeated Dutch Mantell, Buddy Landell & Dr. X (Randy Colley) to win the WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Title. In other matches, the Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong) defeated El Cubano & the Big Cat, and Barry Windham defeated Ron Simmons in the opener.

1995: Tracy Smothers & Scott Armstrong defeated the Gangstas (New Jack & Mustafa Saed) by disqualification in the main event in Villa Rica for Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Ricky Morton defeated the Unibomb by disqualification in the semi-main event, and the Dirty White Boy (Tony Anthony) defeated Mustafa Saed. Also, Boo Bradley defeated Chris Candido in a dog food match, whatever that is. It was reported that 225 were in attendance for this card. It is unclear as to what venue was the site of this card.
