I had intended to write one last follow up to the Georgia Wrestling Promotions saga related to Roger Cantrell’s assertion that bad booking was largely to blame for the cancellation of the March 14 Dalton show, but that was before Monday night’s Jerkin' the Curtain radio show hosted by Trent Van Drisse and myself. One of the GWP bookers, “Reverend” Dan Wilson was the featured guest, and the other one, Iceberg called in about midway through the show. We covered everything I would have touched on in the story and then some. Click here for this particular episode. It’s worth a listen to hear how creepy “The Rev” can be, and just to hear Iceberg talk period.

NOTES
On March 15 at 11:00 AM ET, in the first of what we hope to become a recurring feature on our show, Peach State Pandemonium will hold the first roundtable discussion. This one will feature Dick Steinborn, Ted Oates, and Bobby Simmons, and we will be discussing the All-South Wrestling Alliance, which produced one of the most intriguing wrestling wars in the history of the business. Steinborn was part of the handful of folks behind the plan, Oates was the young up-and-comer pushed heavily, and Simmons established himself as a referee and a guy who could be trusted, earning the respect of Jim Barnett, who brought him to Georgia Championship Wrestling upon the demise of the ASWA.
