NAWA Ring Champions results from the National Guard Armory in Rome, GA, on March 27: in what was to be the semi-final round of a tag team title tournament, the Exotic Ones (Rick Michaels & Simon Sermon) won the title by defeating Kyle Matthews & Kid Ego after the other semi-final featuring Tyler Smith & Murder One versus HCP ended in a double disqualification, eliminating both teams; Lamar Phillips over Jay Clinton; Chris Ganz and Jason Valentine wrestled to a draw; Michael Cross over bruiser Mitchell, and then Cross went to a no contest with the American Patriot. The advertised card changed quite a bit due to injuries and scheduling conflicts, according to promoter Phil Heffner.
