The Georgia Independent Wrestling Alliance returned to action on March 1 at the Eastman-Dodge Recreation Center in Eastman, GA: the Slaughter Pitt over Mike Pain & Will Allen; Shawn Hunter over A.J. Steele to retain the GIWA Heavyweight Title; the Georgia Cowboy over Oko Nono to retain the GIWA Mid-State Heavyweight Title; K.I. Elite over Velvet Jones & Firewaker to retain the GIWA Tag Team Title; and the main event featuring Johnny Camo versus Preston Paradise was ruled a no contest. (Rich Tate)

Signed already will be a GAWF tag title match as the Hot Bodies take on former tag champions, BWM. BJ Sullivan vs Scotty Bullwinkle. GAWF Heavyweight champion Steve Goins will defend his title against a mystery opponent picked by GAWF promoter Skip Skipperman. Also in action are the Rayz Brothers. Southern Championship Wrestling presents Spring Breakout 08. The event will take place on April 12 at the Salvation Army Gymnasium in Sanford, FL. Already signed are: In a title vs title match, Light Heavyweight champion Nooie Lee will face Flordia champion Aaron Epic. Also in blind fold match Mighty Ox takes on Sheik Muhammad Akbar. 1926: Jim Londos defeated Charles Rentrop in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter John Contos. John Paxos and the Masked Marvel (Pete Sauer) wrestled to a draw in the semi-main event, with both men earning a fall.
1931: Jim Londos defeated Paul Harper in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Henry Weber. Also, Wladek Zbyszko defeated Carl Vogel. It was reported that 5,000 were in attendance for this card.
1935: Pat Newman defeated Jack Ross in the main event at the New Coliseum in
1949: The Golden Terror, managed by Earl Wampler, defeated Dick Lever in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. Don McIntyre defeated Rebel Russell in the semi-main event.
1966: Eric & Karl Von Brauner, managed by Saul Weingeroff, defeated Mario Galento & Chief Little Eagle, managed by Freddie Blassie, to retain the World Tag Team Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. Weingeroff and Blassie were handcuffed to Jones during the match.
