New Frontier Wrestling Association results from Franklin, NC, on March 8: Simon Sermon over Sci-Fi; Tommy Too Much over Korrupt; Dirty over Talon Williams to retain the NFWA US Heavyweight Title; Billy Starr over the Mortician; Jamar Acid & Dark Angel over Stan Lee & K.C. Thunder to retain the NFWA Tag Team Title; Matt Sells & Ryan Michaels over K.T. Hamill & Cornbread; and Brokishi over Carter Maine to retain the NFWA Heavyweight Title. The NFWA returns on March 22 with two eight-man elimination matches. 1945: Ben Bennicasa & Al Massey defeated Don Lee & Babe Zaharias in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. John Mauldin defeated Son Almand to win the Atlanta Heavyweight Title in the semi-main event.
1945: The Black Monster defeated Roland Kirchmeyer in the main event at the Augusta Municipal Auditorium for promoter Jack Ross. Tarzan White defeated Jack Dillon in the semi-main event.
1956: Don McIntyre & Chief Big Heart defeated Paul DeGaulle & Pierre LaSalle in the main event at the East Point Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones.
1960: Haystacks Calhoun defeated Jack Terry & Freddie Blassie by disqualification in a main event handicap match at the Columbus Sports Arena for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Fred Ward. The winner of the match was supposed to receive a match with Dory Funk, Jr., for the NWA World Heavyweight Title on March 16, 1973. However, it was reported that the champion and his father, Dory Funk, Sr., had been in an accident earlier in the week, when their pickup truck overturned on their ranch in

2007: Advancing in the Second Annual Old School Tag Team Tournament for AWA World-1 South in Cordele, GA, for a reported $10,000 prize were KI Elite (Mike Stratus & Jake Slater), Scott Davis & Brad Thomas, the Heartbreak Express (Sean & Phil Davis), and the Nightmare & the Masked Superstar. Chasyn Rance retained the AWA World-1 Light Heavyweight Title over Johnny Rodriguez, Glacier pinned Big Bank Barfield in the Lumberjack Match, and Ricky Morton got the win in the semi-main when Tully Blanchard was disqualified. The main event was a bit different than advertised, as some last minute substitutions and replacements occurred. With Mark Briscoe unable to wrestle due to an injury, Jay Briscoe won a Triple Threat bout over Roderick Strong and Erik Stevens. It was reported that about 130 people were in attendance.
