Hi,I would like to share with you and your readers my experience at the FREE Hacksaw Jim Duggan signing yesterday in Boston. We arrived at the signing around 330pm (it started at 4) and there were about 75 people in line outside of Causeway Tickets in Boston. The signing was run by a local indy promotion, Big Time Wrestling. The big draw for this event was that it was FREE autographs. If you wanted, you could pay $10 ($2 for each additional person) for a photo-op with the inaugural Royal Rumble winner. In true BTW fashion, this signing was disorganized and poor. The staff were rather unfriendly, including the company owner Steve Perkins who berated my friend for "stealing" a picture of Hacksaw, when in reality my friend was sending a text message. It was an uncomfortable and embarrassing scene to say the least.
Hacksaw Duggan was the only bright spot of this experience. He was very friendly and personable. In addition, John Cena Sr. was present and signing his $1,000,000 bills. He shared a funny story about a fan who actually tried to cash the novelty bill at a local bank.
All in all, depsite the unprofesional behavior of the BTW owner, it was worth heading out to meet this wrestling legend!
