The 2008 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup is coming September 26th to Port Richey and the 27th to Brooksville, Florida. World Wrestling Network; the national DVD production company for Full Impact Pro, Shimmer and Ring of Honor,

is going to be on hand recording the event for a future DVD release.

Just like they did for the 2007 event which is now on sale at http://jpc2008.com and www.wwndvd.com

The Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup is proud to announce it will have two of the best in the business returning to calling all the action:

This will be Lenny Leonard's his fourth time calling the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, missing the '06 event due to knee surgery. Lenny has been the voice of Ring of Honor's DVD and PPV broadcasts since 2005 where he works along side Dave Prazak. In addition to working for ROH, Lenny has worked for Full Impact Pro, NWA Florida and IPW Hardcore as a DVD announcer, interviewer and in-ring announcer. Born in New York, Lenny grew up watching WWF events at Madison Square Garden

and currently is hoping his NY Yankees make the playoffs.

Scott Hudson is returning to Florida for the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup after joining the announce team last year. Scott's name should sound familiar to any wrestling fan who watched World Championship Wrestling where he teamed with Tony Schiavone on WCW Monday Nitro. Scott was part of the last ever Nitro broadcast and did some work for the WWF during the WCW Invasion of 2001. But instead of staying up north, Scott joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling when the promotion filmed weekly PPV events from Nashville, TN. Scott was the main backstage interviewer until he decided to take a break from the business. He returned to TNA for their Against All Odds PPV this past February. Scott and his family reside in Atlanta and he very excited to be coming back to Florida this month.

Shannon Rose will also be on hand to conduct interviews for the DVD release. Rose has been in the wrestling business over 20 years and has worked for ECW, IPW Hardcore Wrestling, NWA and various other companies. He also has hosted his own TV show for many years along with a radio show. He also is an actor and owns his own PR company.

The Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup 2008 committee is proud to announce a very special Guest Referee for the finals of this year's tournament.

Once again, former five time IPW Light Heavyweight Champion Jet Jaguar will be the third man in the ring for this special event.

For those of you not familiar w/ Jet Jaguar, not only was he a five time L.H. champ, he also held the NWA Florida Jr Heavyweight Title, completed his wrestling training with Dean Malenko and Jeff Bradley, and was a founding member of IPW's version of 9-1-1 Inc, along with Ron Niemi and Phi De Kappa U ( aka Mike and Todd Shane).

Jet had historic feuds and matches with the likes of Mike Marcello, Rod Steel, Frankie Capone ( Francisco Ciatso), Mike Quackenbush, O.G. Scarface ( Sideshow), Jamie Howard (Noble), C.G. Afi ( Tony Mamaluke), Lex Lovett and of course, Jeff Peterson himself, including a victory over Jeff at the Super 8 2000 Tournament, a pioneer of sorts to the JPC itself.

It was Jet Jaguar and Jeff Peterson that brought the high flying, fast paced cruiserweight style to Florida , that is still employed today by the likes of 2008 Peterson qualifiers Chris Jones and Nooie Lee, amongst others.

Some would say Jaguar's stint in WCW in 1999 was the highlight of his career, but Jet has always maintained his years in IPW and the Florida scene were the best times of his life.

Unfortunately, Jet's career was cut short by a damaged left hip in 2002, causing him to get a hip replacement in his early 30's, though he still did his best to contribute to IPW, hosting his "Man on the Streets" segments for IPW TV, and also served as the Guest Referee for the Peterson Cup Finals in 2003 and 2004.

We are very proud to have Jet Jaguar in the JPC fold once again, and we know he is just as proud to be serving such a wonderful cause.

This years Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup will be a fundraiser with ALL proceeds going to little boy named Devin Deschaine. Devin is a 2 yr old Port Richey boy with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. His form of Cancer is one of the most rare, & aggressive pediatric cancers. Only about 600 kids in the USA will be diagnosed with Neuroblastoma each year. About 70% of them will NOT survive. Devin is very close to our hearts & there is no other option for him but to SURVIVE. He's a born fighter. He was a little fighter long before he was diagnosed. Neuroblastoma shouldn't be any different. He just needs a little help with this fight.

The Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup in conjunction with the Tammie Hamaoui Foundation, Pro Wrestling Riot, World Wrestling Network & Floridawrestlingfans.com will be running this year’s tournament as fundraiser for Devin & his mom. She is single & needs help getting the bills paid during his treatment. Not to mention that he has a few procedures coming up that his insurance won't cover. This family needs our help!

Due to his cancer being so rare the media is following him closely. Devin has been on Bay News 9. He is also expected to be on the Today show in the near future. For more information on Devin please go to any of the following links:
